Hello everyone,

I would like to downgrade my Nexus 5 from Android 4.4 to 4.3 (in fact I want to flash TaintDroid 4.3) from the source code.

I know the procedure that must be followed (aosp website), however, I'm a little bit afraid about whether or not the Nexus5's binaries are going to work properly in 4.3 even though they've been thought for 4.4. Will they work?

Thank you very much in advance,
Roger

They should.  4.3 and 4.4 are fairly compatible in terms of binaries and kernels.  It'd probably be better however to bring up TaintDroid into 4.4.  The only repos changed were dalvik, libcore, frameworks/base, frameworks/native, frameworks/opt/telephony, system/vold, and system/core.  Some of those you may be able to pull automatically with git pull and have everything merge nicely; others you may have to do manually or deal with conflicts, but it's a better solution than 4.3 in my opinion.
