FOTA update Nexus 5 Symlink:some symlink falied issue

I am compiling bullhead MMB29P from the source. I am able to do the make including the vendor binaries. For vendor blobs i have used the following script https://github.com/anestisb/android-prepare-vendor . Thus i do get vendor blobs extracted so i can use it during compile time itself.

Then i prepare the ota.zip using the ota-release-tools in build directory . When i sideload the zip i am receiving the error as :

failed to mount /dev/block/platform/soc.0/f9824900.sdhci/by-name/vendor at /vendor : No such file or directory symlink : some symlinks failed

(status 7) 

How can I resolve this ?

You may need to create a symlink from vendor to system/vendor. You can check this for same.
