Which variable do you consider to be the "linearization variable"? I tried your example and it solved OK,

Gurobi 6.5.0: optimal solution; objective 299000
1140 simplex iterations
plus 1 simplex iteration for intbasis

and in all the collections of variables Z, X, C, NM, Y there was at least one there was at least one variable that was not zero.

Subject: [AMPL 11945] linearization variable is always equal to zero ??

ive having a problem with my model .

The problem is I keep getting the value of the inearization variable is zero, although i wrote constraints to ensure not to have a value of zero always.

...

Any help ?
