ESA have just announced that they have found Philae in images taken from the high resolution camera on Rosetta.

Philae is on her side with one leg in the air as had been predicted by some of the previous posts.

There is a full resolution image at http://www.esa.int/spaceinimages/Images/2016/09/OSIRIS_narrow-angle_camera_image_with_Philae_2_September you need to zoom into the middle right to see Philae. The image gives a good context of the ‘landing’ position
