Black holes ain't as black as they are painted

Prof Steven Hawking’s gave the Reith lecture on BBC Radio 4 recently. An illustrated version of his talk has just been published on the BBC website at http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/science-environment-35496124.

 

Not too sure how they did the illustrations – they are made to look as though they were drawn in Chalk but have a far better quality so I guess they are some sort of animation on a chalkboard background ?

Well worth watching for his latest ideas on Black Holes and where the information that falls into them goes.
