It appears that the 2016 NLC season has started. There are observations from Wales on the 26^th May 2016 see http://spaceweather.com/archive.php?view=1&day=27&month=05&year=2016

And from The Isle of Skye on the 27^th May see http://spaceweather.com/archive.php?day=28&month=05&year=2016&view=view

I have just commissioned my NLC observatory. There is information on viewing and imaging NLC on my website at www.JohnMurrell.org.uk , I have just updated the page on downloading images from a DSLR camera to a RaspberryPi via a USB connection. I have at least partly solved the problems of accessing the data on the camera remotely via the RasPi so I can now work on automating the download process.

Hope you get to see some good NLC displays this year.
