Oh, Zob, I didn't see your post until I made mine. My bad.

I didn't comment on the singers, but kinda agree with you. The thing is, if
AGT wants to pick an unforgettable standout (that isn't of an age to compete
on another singing show), they should have picked the Hispanic girl, who is
only 13, as you say. But I really don't want a singer to win. I wouldn't paY to
see a singer winner. I would pay to see the two comedians (and/or magicians)
I mentioned in my post.

Hard to believe Howard Stern never heard Harry Belafonte's
version of Cu Cu Ru Cu Cu Paloma.

Consider the prize. If it has anything to do with a performance or a contract somewhere, they'd rather have some polished spoon-in-his/her-mouth type than a real diamond in the rough.

About a year ago I opened a fortune cookie. It said, "There are
coincidences."

I still have it.

I was wondering how come nobody was posting about AGT too then I figured since most of you are friends on FB I figured it was being discussed there.

I hate to say it but I agree with you but I do think they will have 1 show where those that were close but didn't make it will be invited back to the show and given another chance, I think that is when little Alondra will make it through to the next round.

I had never heard it either but Howard did have fun singing it, I wish they would have asked what the song was about or at the very least told us what "Cu Cu Ru Cu Cu" was all about.

I'm with you on that. Actually I totally balked
at the EULA and the supposed need for your
date of birth and other such info .. that they
promised to keep private and confidential.

Well, so far, lousy singers except one. The girl with the keyboard and Elvis song (she actually said, "Thank you, thank
you very much") was pretty bad and very forgettable. The 87-year old's voice has not aged well. That awful,
wide vibrato was pretty hard to listen to. "Don't Cry for Me, Argentina," gave me goosies. We'll see how the night goes
on. I did like the first magician's act. I do know I won't like the "girl" with the beard. I think he is trying to hang onto the
coattails of that star who is already doing well with that look.

I like your term for that really fast vibrato..."goat vibrato." I usually see "machine gun." LOL.

I think it is "Colombia," no? Where Vergara is from.

I agree with the acts they put through. Although I think Buble should have hit the golden buzzer
for the solo singer with the injured fingers who performed before the duo. IMO, he was much
better, but Buble didn't like his song choice.

I also don't like the "danger" acts (read "stupid huMAN tricks that a woman would never do").

It was an interesting group...I really like the ladder circus guy. I could almost wish he would win
the whole thing. I wonder what else he can do, though.

I should also add that I really don't like the large groups, whether they are choirs, choruses,
orchestras or dance/gymnastics groups. Nope, not for me. And speaking of dance/
gymnastics groups, how horrible was the black lipstick on DM Nation? I don't care if it
is a fad or it matched their clothing. They could have used metallic gold or the same shade
of red for everyone.

I also don't really enjoy the acts where a person does weird or gross things with their
bodies or body parts. I don't understand the attraction.

I hate to say it but I agree with you, if not for the fact that he is blind he wouldn't be anywhere near making it through to the next round, it will be interesting to see how far America votes him through.

I'm cheering for this guy mainly because he was one of the few acts that I saw live a few months ago that has made it threw so far.

Good point, my only wish is that Buble is the guy A.I. would have picked to be their judge instead of stupid ol' HCJ.

Having said that, that means you hate the sharp shooting lady with her bow and arrow? I think she is very good and I enjoy seeing her.

I'm not too impressed with choir singing, to me you can pretty much see that in any black church on any giving Sunday in America.

LOL, Glad you're happy this week, I still think they will pick out about 2 or 3 acts that didn't make it through this time and give them another chance.

The black lipstick in general doesn't bother me much I can take it or leave it but blue eyeshadow makes women look like a cheap whore, ladies what are you thinking putting that crap on your face? unless of course you're going down to Hollywood Blvd, to pick-up your next John.

I 100% agree with you, I FF through those acts, I don't have time for that crap.
