Oh, God, Mark Wahlberg is returning? It seems kind of arbitrary to pick out one thing and say that it ruined the movie, but for me, Mark Wahlberg was the main difference between the joyless trainwreck that was Age of Extinction and the Awesome Suckfest that was Dark of the Moon.

"I'm an inventor! Lucky Charms, weren't you listening to me or were you too busy boning my underage daughter? I said 'I'm an inventor!', that's right, right here, I am inventing things. Lucky Charms! Listen to me when I'm talking to you! You better hope our next adventure doesn't take us into a state with stricter statutory rape laws!"

Transformers: the Last Knight? I wish it was more like Transformers: the Last Movie.

I'm calling it... I forecast this movie will be a flop. Surely people have come to their senses by #5???? That or I am finally moving to cybertron.

Maybe not! Not if this is the beginning of a new trilogy, as some sources claim. Not if they're trying to turn the Transformers film universe into the equivalent of the Marvel cinematic universe. Also, there's the Bumblebee spotlight film that's on its way, so clearly we're not done with these movies yet.

The good news is that Hasbro is finally treating the non-film-year Transformers toy with a modicum of respect. They're putting some effort into it instead of just treating every non-movie toy line as a stopgap measure. Combiner Wars was amazing and it looks like Titans Return is going to be equally amazing. There are people on the message boards saying things like, "If you don't love G1, then Hasbro doesn't care about you." Speaking as someone who DOES love G1, I'm so pleased it's getting treated with the respect that it deserves.
