random finds are fun

Had a toy convention and a bunch of thrift store finds over the last week, hit a few jackpots

Tryticon I took to my friend's store and sold for $20 since I had a much more complete Trypticon, and he sold it for $35.

Beast hunter Prime I found out was missing his front grill weapons and one dragon head, but that wheel of dragon heads is a lot of fun to fiddle with. The wheel had slipped the track and was a little work to get back on but now works pretty ok. It's unbearably simple transformation, the front wheels fold into the legs and the truck mode does nothing to hide the arms or fists. I wish the fists at least hid somehow. Whatever, dragonwheel.

TR Chromedome is probably one of the only molds I didn't buy at regular retail.


DOTM Mudflap I skipped the first time because I had ROTF Mudflap. This is so completely different. The fists are lopsided, one is huge, and considering how well most DOTM stuff pegs together I'm not exactly sure how his fists are supposed to go. Oh, it was also missing a door and hood which I couldn't see when it was bagged up in the store.

DOTM Sentinel I had and sold. It's not great but worth $2 without his guns or mirrors... I still like the mold, I just preferred the leader mold. A few years ago I sold Leader Sentinel off for $40, and bought a different one for $24

Cannon Bumblebee I only got because I saw how the back half was the same as the 2007, but the front was completely different. And it was $1. I guess I'm a sucker for new molds at $1

I got Jolt a few years back from a thrift store but he was missing his robot head. Even without a head I thought it was an amazingly well done robot, and it took a few years but I finally got a head.

Sideswipe I got because for some reason I get all non RID Sideswipes and I missed this one. Seriously, I have G1, G2, Masterpiece G1, Masterpiece G2, I get every Sideswipe. This one isnt as good as the ROTF model, but still good.

Skids I again skipped because I got the ROTF one, but this one is completely different and even different from Mudflap despite them having the same vehicle modes now. His feet are huge, but I think he's pretty complicated. His roof and windshield pop off a little too easily and one of his arm ball joints is wearing thin. Unlike Mudflap it's not hard to figure out how his arms stow as they have doors attached. The most difficult part is getting all the panels and tabs to line up.

Masterpiece Red Alert, now I have 3 copies of this Masterpiece mold. Maybe I'm just obsessed with Lamborghini?

TFCC Rampage mostly because I've never had the mold, but also because I've never owned any TFCC anything. It's a weird spaceship but the Megatron it's based on was probably weird too. I've found three backpack configurations depending on which google image I'm looking at, not sure which I like the best. There are also a bunch of tabs that do stuff, and yet more that I haven't figured out.
