So I just barely found out about these official consumer-applied label sets for the Titans Returns toys. Apparently they're made for the Asian market and are sold as a sheet of stickers for ten characters, and there are application maps to tell you where they go:
Could this be the true reason that the toys are so devoid of paint applications——because Hasbro knew there were going to be stickers decorating them? Why didn't we get these for the American marketplace? I feel a bit cheated. Many of the toys do look enormously improved with the extra color and detail. It's a very Geewuntastic thing to do for an already Geewuntastic toy line.
Zob (might get these on eBay if I can ever get caught up on the actual toys)

I would LOVE to see a return to the TF toy-sticker thing to the U.S., like as was done in G1. Loved applying those stickers, back in the day.

Yeah, speaking as someone who grew up having to apply a lot of stickers to toys (and occasionally having to protect them from a younger sibling who chewed the damn things off), I'm glad to not have to deal with them too often. They were a nuisance on Metroplex, barely tolerable on Fort Max...and kinda amusing on Whirl and Roadbuster. I'm fine not having them with every single toy.

Pretty much, yeah.
Zob (just because you're paranoid doesn't mean they're not actually out to get you!)

Oh, I'm a firm believer in the same. I just don't see the sense in applying it to toys.

I wonder if these could be printed off and used. You'd definitely want
to remove the gray background and banner first to save ink, and probably
any stickers for toys not owned.
