I would have said Trypticon would make the most sense as the next Titan-class figure, as a natural foil to Metroplex... though now that Fortress Maximus is on the way, I'm less sure.

This may sound crazy, but I think they could probably squeeze Trypticon and Scorponok out of the same toy. They both have gigantic tails and they both use them as ramps in city mode. The intrinsic problem, of course, is that you'd end up with a Trypticon with a humanoid robot mode, and that's clearly no good.

I think it's very likely we'll get them all, eventually, and Hasbro is essentially asking us which of them we want first. It's not a matter of "we're only doing one and you guys need to pick which it will be."

I'm surprised Unicron isn't an option. We need a big Unicron toy. I mean, a really big Unicron toy.

Scorponok should be first, since the "Titans Return" line seems to focus on forcing everyone in it to be a Headmaster (other than the "cassettes"). Even if the line has moved on from that gimmick by the time Scorps is released, headmasters will still be "hot" and he IS one. Omega can be next, made just big enough to scale against CW Devastator. I'd like to see him have actual hands with the rocket parts being optional "gloves". Trypticon can be last, so they can get him right. Doing them in this order would also mean they come out in opposite order to their rivals Generations releases (which was Metroplex, then Devastator, finally Fort. Max and this wave would start with Scorponok, followed by Omega, and wrap up with Trypticon).

A new Unicron would be fun, would there be another Primus (possibly a retool of said Unicron) to go with? Primus seems to have largely disappeared from shows and comics recently, but I'm sure they could figure something out.

Based on what I've seen so far, there's a fair amount of interest in Scorponok, and a few votes for Omega Supreme, but the polls seem to be overwhelmingly in favor of Trypticon right now.

I have a theory on this. I don't think that Trypticon is necessarily the fan favorite of the three, but rather no one trusts Hasbro to not just create another repaint/remold out of the Titan Metroplex/Titam Fort Max toy. Trypticon is the only one that would absolutely have to be a ground up redesign. Given Hasbro has sold us 4, maybe 5? repaints of basically the same mold in the CW lines, I sure as hell don't trust those money grabbing bastards. I also think the fact that the fandom just got a Trypticon resissue, which should have shifted all the votes to scorponock, adds to my theory.
Thoughts?

That ascribes a certain level of forethought to the fandom that I'm not sure they collectively possess! Still, it's a possibility. (Mark my words, I still say they could manage to squeeze Trypticon and Scorponok out of the same toy design, with some heavy modifications.)

Yeah, I imagine there are a lot of fans who never owned G1 Trypticon (I know he's been horribly devalued now, but he used to go for like $600 on eBay) so I could see that their desire for him would be temporarily sated by a reissue. They're gonna be disappointed in how small he is, though...
