Funny you should say that. My telly, still an old CRT, has been losing
control over its tubes. First the blue went, then the green. Interesting
thing is, they didn't go all at once. They slowly crept up until they
got completely out of sync with the grid and disappeared. So now I'm
looking at an orange image, almost as if it's a black-and-white telly
with an orange screen in front.
It's not as if television is really important to me, and for the
programmes I do want to watch, the sound is more important than the
image, and that still works fine. This autumn we're getting glass fiber,
we'll see if I can be bothered to switch providers and televisions,
then.
