(nope I'm not a troll)
I have thrown Black Widows and/or Eagles since the early 80s.
Both are great darts and come with a lifetime guarantee. The Eagles
are center balanced and the Widows are slightly forward balanced. You
really need to throw both (before you buy) to see if one is more
natural for your grip and throwing style. A reputable dart store will
allow you to try before you buy.
I would definitely get fixed points. The moveable point Widows were
(are?) notorious for stripping out the barrels where the shaft screwed
in. I don't know about the Eagles. I have owned both fixed and MP, and
see no great difference, in bounce outs, between the two. If you
decide to go with the Widows, I would also get the knurled barrel.
I have seen a great variance on prices with these darts. You might
want to search the web for the best price. I use
http://www.horizondarts.com (no affiliation). They have reasonable
prices and excellent customer service.
I'm sure you would like either dart. My preference is the Widow, but I
also have a strange grip :-( Just stay away from the MP.
