Okay, Here's a question for those who know. Who's the greatest womanizer in
history? I think it should be judged on three equally weighted criteria:
number of woman, beauty of those women, and the level of fame those women
had. In other words, the man who has slept with the greatest number of
attractive famous (or semifamous) women should win. Who do you think? Hugh
Hefner? Warren Beatty? Wilt Chamberlain? Alain Delon?

Here's a question. Who do you think the greatest womanizer in history has
been? Give equal points for the number of women slept with, their beauty and
their fame. The man who has slept with the greatest number of attractive,
famous (or-semi famous) women should win. In other words, someone who picked
up a hundreds of women at his local low-dive bar wouldn't be in the running.
So who would it be? Hugh Hefner? Waren Beatty? Wilt Chamberlain? Robert
Evans? Or maybe someone from Europe or Asia?

I think you have to break this question down into at least two
categories. Who has had many attractive women and who has had, simply,
the sheer numbers. Wilt has no doubt had many women --from what I used
to see --most of them skanks. Now, on the other hand, Beatty has had
some some very attractive gals --he's got some taste. Brad Pitt
(although young) knows a good lookin' woman. So does Jason Patrik. Rick
James has NO taste whatsoever, but was an infamous poon hound. Prince
had great taste in women (physically speaking) and HOW in the heck do
you figure that one out?

I would have to say, based on publicity, either Roger Vadim
or Marcello Mastroianni.
Since this is a gossip group, are all those "fathers" of
illegitimate children, deadbeat fathers or do they take part
in the care and welfare of the children?

Beatty is the clear winner in the US--huge numbers, high quality.

The European winner is quite likely Georges Simenon--one of the great
poon hounds of history.

I think Porfirio Rubirosa was the champ at *marrying* very wealthy
women, tho he slept with plenty of non-wealthy ones, too.

I don't know, there is that story about Frank Sinatra sleeping with every
female at MGM when he was under contract there, and that was when he was young.
He also went through several beautiful actresses as he got older. I'd
definitely put him up there.

I had forgotten about him. LOL
His talent would have put him at the head of the list for
sure. It got him two of the richest women in the world.

Two fave Rubirosa items:

He was so well hung that during the height of his notoriety, those
humongous carved wooden pepper grinders used in swanky restaurants were
known as "Rubirosas".

His valet apparently walked in on Rubi with a woman and was so awe-struck
he could only repeat the phrase: "Le ouvo...le ouvo!". <pardon my
French (literally) - apparently this loosely translates to "my God, the
cojones on that guy!"

Pamela <who has obviously read waaaaay too much about Mr. Rubirosa>

I pick Oliver Stone as a good candidate. Even though he's not
known for spotting on the town with the Famous actresses, he's
got a whole bevy of other broads. And are we including Bi-men in
this one too? I mean, who has slept with the most beauregarde
men and women would be worthy of the title.

OK, I'll bite...the "candidates" are:

Liberace
Pee Wee Herman
Paul Lynde
David Hyde Pierce

...and the Greatest Womanizer Award goes to...

...Madonna!

Didn't Errol Flynn have a fling with Tyrone Power too?

I barely remember a part in his biography, which insinuated that Flynn
and someone else were involved in the death of a woman in a hotel room
after a night of sexual "fun" in Paris (?). They managed to get
"uninvolved" with the situation. Does anyone else remember this part?
It could have been from _My Wicked, Wicked Ways_, but I can't find my
copy.

How about John Kennedy as a great womanizer? And any of the major rock
stars from bands like the Stones, Led Zepp, etc.? They must have a
multitude of conquests.

Leslie Howard
A pleasant thought upon the re-release of GWTW where he
has to play poor, wimpy Ashley Wilkes.
In his day, Mr. Howard was the number one scorer.
His "secretary" who was known to be one of the great
blow-jobs in Hollywood was aboard the plan that crashed and killed them all.

Forrest Tucker and Milton Berle were the biggest in terms of actual size,
although not neccesarily known for numbers of women boffed.

I know this is going way way back in time but . . .

Milton Berle and a B movie actor named Forrest Tucker supposedly were THE major
hounds of their day . . Berle, along with Mel Torme, boasted of bedding Marilyn
Monroe in his memoirs . . tasteless bastard . .

Probably the playwright/critic/humorist George S. Kaufman should go on the
list. He was married (platonically after the first couple of years and a
stillborn baby) to a greatly admired woman named Beatrice, and had affairs
with many stunning women including, notoriously, Mary Astor. (As was
discussed in this ng a while back.)

David Bowie has to be king of the bi's. Apart from the thousands of
groupies, there's Angie Bowie, Bianca Jagger, Liz Taylor, Oona
Chaplin, Ava Cherry, May Pang, Iman, Madonna, Susan Sarandon,
Catherine Deneuve, Romy Schneider, Candy Clark, Bebe Buell, Melissa
Hurley, Twiggy, Dana Gillespie, Marianne Faithfull, Cyrinda Foxe,
Natasha Kornilof, Cherry Vanilla......

And that's just the women!
