I saw on the Spankoz website that one of the favourites of their posters is
Ravel's Bolero and I can see the attractions there. I reckon I'm rather
partial to 'The Skaters Waltz' cos you can get a nice alternating rhythm
going there!!
Anyone spanked, or been spanked, to music and have you got a soft spot (pun
intended) for it? Let us know.

Thanks, Alex! And, yes, I've been at it for almost 40 years, so I'm pretty much
stamina-fied. ;-) And don't feel sorry; all done with moderate fun swats.
First time that I ever saw that done was on and OLD TV show called the Gong
Show. Contestants would go on stage and do their 'act'. A panel of 3 celebrity
judges would give them scores OR would 'GONG' an awful act, thus eliminating
them. One show had a gal lying flat on a bench with her bottom bent marvelously
toward the cameras and the guy went to town. I seem to recall that they were the
winners of that days's competition. Anyone remember that besides me?

..bit tricky with 'Stairway to Heaven' though!!
Alex
We've had music on from time to time, but its sole function was to mask any odd
slapping sounds someone may overhear. I couldn't tell you what was playing.
Bolero seems so slow, a nice choice for a sensuous spanking. I'd be laughing
my butt off if it was Sousa. As for Wipeout.... ouch! I don't recall that
specific Gong Show, but I'll bet it went over big with both audience and
celebrity panel.
I think some Big Band would be fun to try.
IrishRed
Sousa, my dear, has a nice steady beat, in marching cadence, about two spanks a
second, the pace of an active heart.
Not to mention the swells of the brass section, the squeals of the winds and
the thumping of percussion ...plus the occasional and quite predictable
crashing of symbols.
Bolero, like a perfect spanking, starts slow, crescendos to a climax and then
quickly limps home.
Boy, do you need a music appreciation lesson! And much else.

I'm a musician of twenty-some years, and find it very difficult to get off a
distinct beat while music is playing. I mostly spank without music, or with a
relatively beatless background like Gregorian chant. When I do spank to a
beat, it's usually dirty Memphis blues or African drums. Some of the latter
has great and wildly complex rythyms to work to ;)

Thanks!
I've been designing a spanking machine as well -- really more of a paddling
machine -- but haven't built a finished prototype yet. It's stayed low on the
priority list for a while as I'm not sure the interest is there (particularly
as it would sell in the $800 to $1000 range).
I'm not sure this rather commercial inquiry is appropriate for the group, but
what I'd really love to know: if you were considering a spanking machine, what
features would be most important to your purchase decision?
Seriously though I think it has to be a) adjustable for height of person and
incline of bottom b) It should have adjustable spanking speed c) adjustable
spanking force which can be eased up or down d) Maybe alternating stroke
type too if that wasnt too sophisticated ie flat strokes or a curved sweep
striking the buttocks at an angle.

Ted ... who doesn't need a music lesson so much as a spelling or typing lesson
for spelling cymbals symbols -- probably due to his fascination with spanking
as a symbol of something or other
I have one I bought in 1990. It has had a lot of hard use over the years and it
has performed well.
I know I shouldn't let it upset me when I want to use it and it doesn't work,
but damnit, I depend on it.
"It's no use," I ranted to Mrs Raptor."That fucking machine just won't start."
"I bet you left the headlights light on again," Mrs Raptor said. "The battery

CRASH!!
1. Luciano Pavarotti - (During his peak years) - Nessun Dorma: but it might
be hard to find the rhythm. Just the idea of the stern tone and words:
"No-one shall sleep!" it has a cool Goth feel (yes, I know it isn't a
literal translation).
2. Stone Temple Pilots - STP - Vasoline: 'Nuff said.
3. Willie Nelson - The Very Best of Willie Nelson - Whiskey River (live):
One of the live versions would be just the right tempo. One of the ones I
have starts out slow and picks up speed, and it has pauses, for bottom
rubbing.
4. Korn - Almost anything off Untouchables, but the one song called Beat It
Upright is about spanking, specifically (Jon Davis is a trip).
5. Ride of the Valkyries- (pick your fave conductor) - Wagner: The
connection to Apocalypse Now would make it doubly exciting.
6. Elysian Fields - Bleed Your Cedar - Anything You Like: This is a really
slow song, but the woman says in the chorus "You can do anything you like"
and it is so sensual. You'd have to find your own tempo, but for an erotic
spanking, this would be awesome.
7. Dubstar - Goodbye - I'm Just a Girl She Said: Good tempo, and the
message of the song is great, which is an intelligent woman deriding males
who attempt to degrade her. It could be an affirmation to both the spanker
and spankee that they both respect each other.
8. The The - Soul Mining - I've Been Waiting For Tomorrow (All of My Life):
Whew, the spanker and the spankee would have to be seriously up for this
one. The cool thing about this song is that between the drumming, the synth
and the vocals you have dozens of beats to choose from. It lasts 5:45 and
really gets going around 1:45 in so you could have a warm up period. There
is even a countdown in the very beginning. There are several songs off of
this album that would be great. The whole disk always felt to me like kind
of an exploration of degradation (wanted and unwanted), or maybe forced
release is a better definition.
9. The Verve - Urban Hymns - Catching the Butterfly: So incredibly
beautiful and a great beat. This would be (for me) an erotic session as a
prelude to tender lovemaking. Lots of hugging and (possibly) laughing and
just fun for us both.
10. Warren G. - Regulate - What's Next: Great rap song with a beat and a
serious air that would be awesome for a more hardcore session. There would
be no kidding during this song, this is the real deal and we both would know
exactly what we were doing during this tune.
Ok, wow, Alex you just made my Monday! I know that sounds giddy, but I mean
it. EXCELLENT topic. Ok, I'm cheating now and I'm being a glutton to name a
few more. By the way, the person who said Sousa, how awesome! That is
hilarious and very understandable. This would be a fun session, right? I
can't see getting serious to a March, but comment further on this please.
Also, whoever said Led Zeppelin, oh my god, that is so right on. Most
everything would be great from them, but I'd get off on Street Corner Girl
and Whole Lotta Love the most. The Lemon Song might be a good cool down
tune.
More, sorry can't help it...
Doves - The Last Broadcast - N.Y.: Such intelligent lyrics and thoughtful
musicality. Electricity shoots from this song. Just the thought of spanking
a sweet thing to this gets me crazy.
Alice in Chains - Dirt - Them Bones: No messing around here, but fun.
Hardcore rock and roll and a great beat to get into the mood.
Mos Def (and Massive Attack) - Blade II soundtrack - I Against I: Serious,
lets get started song. Solid, heavy base, very unnerving.
Paul Oakenfold - Bunkka - Ready Steady Go: If you've heard this song, you
don't need any explanation.
Disturbed - The Sickness - Stupify: Another hardcore slam fest.
The Cardigans - Grand Turismo - Erase/Rewind: Very cool vibe, gawd I love
women singers. Erotic, and a beat you could choose your swats from.
Madonna - Bedtime Stories - Human Nature (or) The Immaculate Collection -
Justify My Love or Erotica: Yea, she's commercial, but damn that girl can
get down.
Live - The Distance to Here - Voodoo Lady: A song that says "light up a
cigarette and calm the f**k down", seems to work in the opposite direction,
but the guitar is so driving in the chorus that it would be worth the
effort.
Das Pop - I Love - Electronica for Lovers: Fun for geeks (or the computer
literate) who also love to spank. Great song.
Lio - (12" club mix) - Rapture: Total rave commercialism, but a great song
to start an evening together.
Ok, and for the cool down time...
Herbie Hancock - Future 2 Future - Be Still
Janet Jackson - Control - Funny How Time Flies (When You're Having Fun):
The irony of the lyrics in relationship to what we just did might bring out
a few laughs, and evoke tenderness.
Miles Davis - Kind of Blue - So What
Luciano Pavarotti - Pagliacci - Vesti La giubba (aria)
Jon Hassell - The Million Dollar Hotel - Amsterdam Blue
Mocheeba - Mmm - Trigger Hippie
Tchaikovsky - Swan Lake - Dance of the Swans
Pete Yorn - Music for the Morning - On Your Side
Portishead - Portishead - Cowboys
Hooverphonic - A New Stereophonic Sound Spectacular - Someone

At least here in ASSM and in ASRM you can hold a decent conversation
and not get jumped on by every Tom, Dick and Harry.
What ever you do...do *not* take notice of what happened on SSS ok?
They're not worth it. No matter what happens you will not win against
those few posters. They don't like to be wrong and when they have got
there minds set to something they will not give in.
I personally don't give rats arse what you wrote. It did not offend me
I was just trying to explain that unfortunately sometimes we have to be
the ones to give in otherwise it will just keep going on and on and on
as you have already noticed.
Also as you can see your return triggered them off again. There's no
way you will beat them. Once again no offense taken to any SSS posters
on here or ASRM.
I do NOT think you are a troll either ok? Although I am ready for
another round with our local troll just not sure if I will respond to
it or not though <g>.

You're right, AG! Rick is no reincarnation/sock of any SSS personality,
he appears to be a legit poster, which pretty much is proven in his own

Rick just happened to ruffle a few feathers and the "same ole, same ole"

posts as if they're speaking for the world.

Exactly. They don't give care what they say nor how many feelings they
hurt. This is why I am posting to Rick on here. Ok yeah I admit I am a
coward for not saying anything on SSS. I just told Rick to give up as
he won't win. If I was to say he was NOT a troll on SSS well... all
hell would have broken through. I have enought problems in R/L than to
worry about them. Who knows I could be a troll to them for responding
to certain posts. But do I care...NO!
Cheers matey :)
AG
AG, there was never any need for you to say anything, and you were no
coward. You were just smarter than me to not get all embroiled in that mess.
When you did say something, it was right on and (to an degree) I followed
your advice. It got really draining, really fast and took any enjoyment I
wanted to get from posting away almost immediately.
As I noted in one of my last posts, I have been traveling, so I haven't had
the time or ability to respond even if I wanted to (which I don't). I wrote
the post about music on my laptop waiting (for three hours) for some person
who never showed up on Friday. I had read it and saved it as a Word file
earlier that day when I had access to the Net. When I got back to Dallas on
Monday, I posted it (after checking the discography of certain artists). It
was a fun one to write, and made my Friday and Monday.
After writing it I created a playlist of all the songs, waiting for the day
when I can use it. I just named the list "special" as others sometimes use
my iPod and I thought "spanking songs" would raise an eyebrow or two <g>.
The Viking helmet thing was hilarious, and Ride of the Valkyries is
definitely the song for that. This whole topic made me think about what I
want even more. Could I play with someone who isn't close to me, to music? I
don't think so; it's just so personal. Could I play with anyone, ever who I
wasn't in a relationship with? I don't know. I had a chance to go to a
party, and didn't. Anyway, just made me think about it more.
Goin' back out-of-town again, so who knows if I'll get to post. I've made
another list, but figured I've contributed enough on this one. Thanks again
for a cool topic.

I am drawing the line on that _________. Thank you for the welcome, Alex.
On the music thing, I was just wondering (because I love this topic and
want to keep it going) does anyone have a favorite album for after play
or sex? Of course, I'll name a few, glad you asked <grin>. Mine are only
relevant for after sex, since I haven't played since I was in my early
twenties and no music was on then. Well, some "music" but none coming
through the speakers.
1. Radiohead - Kid A (I pull out the ones that mess up the moment, and
play through the computer).
2. Mark Hollis - (self titled) The whole thing is brilliant, I think.
3. Elysian Fields - Bleed Your Cedar

Not with two alert teenagers in the house!
Things really change.
Foreplay consists of a nudge and, "Are you awake?" then, accompanied by a Susa
march turned up to "10" the rest can be summed up as "this won't take
long...did it?"
I know, I know, I'm an incurable romantic.

Rap, you are too funny! LOL!! BTW, music is a good distractor for prying kids
ears, don'thca know.
OK, on to a favorite album. I really had a good shag to Billy Squire's greatest
hits once. ONCE! <G>
In the film 'Fast Times At Ridgemont High' one of the main characters is trying
to educate Mark Rattner and told him that the best music to have sex to was side
2 of Led Zep IV. I'm sure someone else will bring up a name or title that will

Hehe, the two-minute drill, huh? Jeff Foxworthy has a good little bit, kind
of on that subject, and it brings up a good story.
I belonged to a group that meets once a month, I won't tell you what it is
but the best-selling book of all time is involved. Anyway, lets just say
it's a conservative group. One meeting I'm talking with an old friend (she's
not old, we've just been friends a long time). She tells me that she is
really tired. She and her husband have been running around like crazy
getting ready for the holidays. Her husband strolls up, along with my wife,
and I tell Jeff Foxworthy's little ditty. Jeff says he and his wife have a
lot of oral sex. My friends look at me and eyes go wide. He says, after
running around with all the kids, and working all day, and getting dinner
ready, putting the kids to bed, and everything, he and his wife are
exhausted. So they both collapse in bed and he weakly moans, "If I wasn't so
tired, I'd wear you out baby". To which she replies "I know you would,
honey, I know you would." Oral sex. My friends found that funny, especially
the woman.
So.... The next month we meet, and we have like two new couples, just
sitting in to see if they want to join. My wife and I come in a little late,
and sit down. The room is packed, with around 14 people. Then, from across
the room, my friend (quietly) says, "Michael and I have been having a lot of
oral sex" (Michael is her husband). The whole room freezes and you could
almost hear the record scratching sound effect from the startling impact it
had. Everyone looks at her like she's insane, especially the two new couples
who are definitely thinking "uhhh, this ain't the group for me" about right
now. My friend starts backpedaling, and asks me to bail her out. I couldn't
resist when I said, "I have no idea what you're talking about!". My wife
pinches me real good and after an excellent disturbing pause, I regale the
group with Jeff's little joke.
Anyway, it was fun. On your comments though, you gotta know you aren't
foolin' your teenagers. I think back to my parent's feeble attempts to mask
their, uh, activities and they were very lame. Getting a twenty stuffed in
my hand and taking my sister to the movies on Sunday was the best one.
Cranking up the stereo was one of the worst, and a dead giveaway that
something was going on. I'd think a Sousa march would REALLY be a giveaway,
unless you listen to them often anyway. My sons were too young to figure out
anything, and our activities (which did not include spanking) were never as
loud as even a half-hearted spanking (which is pretty loud). Maybe this
could be a good thread though, "What do you do to get some real time in,
when you have kids?"
I hate quick couplings, although sometimes you have no choice, so I tended
to wait for the right time. I wouldn't even try to spank someone with my
kids in the house; I just wouldn't be able to relax. It'd be like trying to
pee with 10 people watching. <g> That certainly wouldn't work in a Domestic
Discipline relationship though. I guess I'd have to work that out, if I ever
get the chance. <please, please, please>
Rick
I like Jeff Foxworthy too. A very funny guy. I'll have to file this little
story away about oral sex. It's a keeper.

Oh, whew!!! I thought it was just us.
Okay, on occasion we've put on some classical music by a variety of artists.
It doesn't really prevent us from being as quiet as horny churchmice, and
certainly spanking is out of the question anymore if they're in the house. (The
kids, not mice.)
And any music accompanied by lyrics has always been a major distraction,
anyhow. I start to sing the song in my head. Tends to put a damper on the
festivities, it does.
