My 99 DutchStar is equipped with 300 HP Cummins ISC engine.
I have had 2 fuel system partial power shutdowns on recent trips.
1)Indication of low fuel pressure (Upside down yellow light bulb w/
exclamation mark)
--fuel filter replaced by Cummins shop but did not work continued below
--faulty engine sensor replaced by same Cummins shop @8500mi fixed the
problem
2)Same problem as above, but red stop engine lights, if power is not
reduced @10400mi now in shop
--Anybody had problems like this with this with 300 HP Cummins ISC
Turbo?

With 2 fuel pressure warning problems it would seem that there may be a lift
pump problem (injector pump is supplied with fuel by a 'lift pump') or
there may be an air leak in fuel suction system. Most (but perhaps not all)
Cummins service shops are well equiped to service your engine. Intermitent
faults can drive the tech up the wall if there is no clear indication of
what is wrong. Often the guy will _hope_ he has solved the problem (sorry,
not many women do this work) and claim it is repaired

I know this response will not help your sense of what needs to be repaired
but in this case, you need to have faith in the Cummins service shop.
Cummins does build a quality product, albeit, you won't like being dinged
for replacement seal costs on warranty claims.

Happy Trails?

I had similar problem. I found blocked fuel tank vent, rubber hose hanging next to fuel tank. Do you notice a vacuum when removing fuel cap? Does problem occur an hour or so after fuel fill?
