Well, entertainment has been a good field for Jews, because of their hard work ethic,
because many avenues of livelihood were closed to them by prejudice, because there is an
inherent wryness in the tradition and culture, and because as a culture they celebrate
life with gusto. Comedy comes easily to those who live with tragedy. (As opposed to the

Seriously, you've got a big mix of WASPS, Catholics, Jews, and Arabs in there. The name
that caught my eye was Omar Sharif, with his last name being Shalhoub--I wonder if he is
related to the vastly underrated actor Tony Shalhoub, who exuded perfect power and
sinistry in Gattaca. (And was also in Men In Black.)
