I would say more likely guerilla ontologists of some sort.
It seems to be a deliberate attempt to pollute Google's cache, or at least
weird it up a bit. I can't tell whether it's a Markov bot or a Markov bot with
some kind of steganography, but I would guess against stego because
there are plenty of ways of making steganography less obvious and it
would seem to be more likely someone doing stego would have less
attention-getting content.

Now for those of you who are asking, "What's steganography???"
see Dave Touretzky's page for an explanation:

about 8 years back on the NG...well past a batch of failed hard drives
so I have no record .... there was a short series of threads about the
cult cooperating with one particular christian sect in Hollywood,
...the pentecosts ring a bell but I dont think thats exactly it.. the
tread went on with posts from one ex cult of scientologists who went
to meetings in the basement of the christian church when he was in the
cult.. with security all around as he had seen with the scns and went
on to say that there were much deeper associations with scientology
..serious business and local political activity..maybe even some
criminal activity mentioned, shocking enough that most people might
have discounted it...I took it somewhat with a grain of salt
myself...but to me it did have a ring of truth to it... and some
mention of how each treated ex members...things Id never seen in the
christian press...my impression was that scn had convinced these
people to apply elrong hubbard policy or some such and involved them
in the larger criminal scene...paranoia and all..
Ive not seen anything else posted even remotely on the subject in the
ensuing 8 years.
My view is that scn is a lot bigger underground than anyone
imagines...just the size of the recent financial frauds offers a
clue....it goes well beyond slatkin, he is almost a side show from
where I view this mess.

I was "in" then, and I know Heber was trying to make serious connections
within the Christian Commuinity. Every meeting
at the A &E Church, OSA would attend, 'caring' of course for their
community. Yeah...right! They've failed miserably at this,
and only due to their own ridiculous Fair Game activities, viewed by a
number of ministers here in LA, when I went to speak to them with Dr. Kent.
As far as they having this huge, 'bigger underground than anyone
imagines"....I am quite sure that is exactly the image they want promoted,
and agreed upon. I know you're not trying to forward this, it's just part of
their "PR campaign" that they've worked hard to create. It's the same as The
Wizard, in the Wizard of Oz. I view them exactly the same,
and that's from experience.
They're not huge....but their strength is in their ability to persist,
and stop at nothing. I am a wittness to this. The only problem is that same
"ability" is killing them, due to this Internet, and each person (yourself
included) who continues to post ~facts~ about their abuses.
All the best :)

Yeah.
The instant Hagbard Celine is mentioned, you just know things are
going off the rails.
Markoff or Travesty generated, perhaps real time. Infinite in size.

>Yeah.
They appear to me to be static, becuase they appear in Google in response to
search strings that are actually contained in the site. If they were
dynamically generated, this wouldn't be the case.

I vote for guerilla ontology by some third party, not a cult op.
$cientology ain't that subtle.
If by chance it is connected to the cult, it's like those electronic
gizmos supposedly cobbled up during WWII, shot full of holes with
captured ammunition and left for the enemy to find. How many scientists
would it tie up before they realize the flashing lights don't _do_
anything?
Like the Soviet Union, when $cientology finally crumbles, the surprise
will be how _small_ it really was.
