The U.S. House of Representatives approved on Thursday a sweeping set
of rules aimed at forcing states to issue all adults federally approved
electronic ID cards, including driver's licenses.

Under the rules, federal employees would reject licenses or
identity cards that don't comply, which could curb Americans'
access to airplanes, trains, national parks, federal courthouses

Our History

In the late 1970s, Bert Thompson and Wayne Jackson
saw the need to make available scripturally sound
and scientifically accurate materials in apologetics
among the churches of Christ. The idea for
Apologetics Press was born--an idea that soon became
a reality. The necessary legal steps then were taken
to allow the work to be recognized as non-profit and
tax-exempt by both State and Federal governments.
In 1985, Apologetics Press moved into its own
custom-built, 11,000-square-foot building that was
debt free upon completion.

Copies of periodic financial statements are available
upon request. Financial records are managed by
certified public accountants, who also submit to the
appropriate agencies all documentation required by
State and Federal law.

Currently, Dr. Thompson serves as Executive Director,
and is in charge of day-to-day operations.
Dr. Brad Harrub is the Director of Scientific
Information. Dr. Dave Miller is the Chairman of the
Department of New Testament Studies. Kyle Butt is the
Director of Biblical Research. Eric Lyons is the
Director of Research. They are assisted in the
office by a staff of six.

What We Believe

1.) The following principles of truth are accepted

7.) Jesus Christ is the only divine Son of God, born of
the virgin Mary, miracle-working, resurrected Lord
and Savior of all who lovingly obey Him.

8.) The 66 books of the Bible are fully and verbally
inspired of God; hence, they are inerrant and
authoritative, and a complete guide for moral and
religious conduct.

9.) Salvation is by means of obedience to the Gospel
system, involving faith in God and Christ, repentance
from sin, confession of faith, and immersion in water
for remission of past sins, coupled with a life of
growing consecration and dedication.

Rauschning was one of the earliest
adherents to the Nazi Party, joining in
1926. He soon became one of Hitler's most
trusted colleagues and confidants, and was
made President of the Danzig Senate in 1933.
By 1935, however, he had become genuinely
alarmed at what was happening in Germany,
and he fled, first to Switzerland, and then

numerous extracts in Rauschning, it is
apparent that Hitler knew full well what he

As certain politicians work diligently to prevent marriage
between two people of the same sex, others have been busy
drafting a Constitutional Amendment codifying all marriages
entirely on Biblical principles. After all, God wouldn't want
us to "pick and choose" which of the Scriptures we elevate
to civil law and which we choose to ignore:

Draft of a Constitutional Amendment to Defend
Biblical Marriage:

*1 Marriage in the United States of America
shall consist of a union between one man and one
or more women. (Gen 29:17-28; II Sam 3:2-5.)

*2 Marriage shall not impede a man's right to
take concubines in addition to his wife or wives.
(II Sam 5:13; I Kings 11:3; II Chron 11:21)

*3 A marriage shall be considered valid only
if the wife is a virgin. If the wife is not a
virgin, she shall be executed.(Deut 22:13-21)

*4 Marriage of a believer and a non-believer
shall be forbidden. (Gen 24:3; Num 25:1-9; Ezra 9:12;
Neh 10:30, 2Cor 6:14)

*5 Since marriage is for life, neither the
US Constitution nor any state law shall permit
divorce. (Deut 22:19; Mark 10:9-12)

Analysis of these seven regimes reveals fourteen
common threads that link them in recognizable patterns
of national behavior and abuse of power. These basic
characteristics are more prevalent and intense in some
regimes than in others, but they all share at least
some level of similarity.

1. Powerful and continuing expressions of nationalism.
<> From the prominent displays of flags and bunting to the
ubiquitous lapel pins, the fervor to show patriotic
nationalism, both on the part of the regime itself and
of citizens caught up in its frenzy, was always obvious.
Catchy slogans, pride in the military, and demands for
unity were common themes in expressing this nationalism.
It was usually coupled with a suspicion of things
foreign that often bordered on xenophobia.

2. Disdain for the importance of human rights.
The regimes themselves viewed human rights as of little
value and a hindrance to realizing the objectives of
the ruling elite. Through clever use of propaganda, the
population was brought to accept these human rights
abuses by marginalizing, even demonizing, those being
targeted. When abuse was egregious, the tactic was to
use secrecy, denial, and disinformation.

3. Identification of enemies/scapegoats as a unifying
cause. The most significant common thread among these
regimes was the use of scapegoating as a means to
divert the people's attention from other problems, to
shift blame for failures, and to channel frustration
in controlled directions. The methods of choice --
relentless propaganda and disinformation--were usually
effective. Often the regimes would incite 'spontaneous'
acts against the target scapegoats, usually communists,
socialists, liberals, Jews, ethnic and racial minorities,
traditional national enemies, members of other religions,
secularists, homosexuals, and 'terrorists.'
Active opponents of these regimes were inevitably labeled
as terrorists and dealt with accordingly.

4. The supremacy of the military/avid militarism.
Ruling elites always identified closely with the
military and the industrial infrastructure that
supported it. A disproportionate share of national
resources was allocated to the military, even when
domestic needs were acute. The military was seen as
an expression of nationalism, and was used whenever
possible to assert national goals, intimidate other
nations, and increase the power and prestige of the
ruling elite.

5. Rampant sexism. Beyond the simple fact that the
political elite and the national culture were male-
dominated, these regimes inevitably viewed women as
second-class citizens. They were adamantly
anti-abortion and also homophobic. These attitudes
were usually codified in Draconian laws that enjoyed
strong support by the orthodox religion of the
country, thus lending the regime cover for its abuses.

6. A controlled mass media. Under some of the regimes,
the mass media were under strict direct control and could
be relied upon never to stray from the party line.
Other regimes exercised more subtle power to ensure
media orthodoxy. Methods included the control of licensing
and access to resources, economic pressure, appeals to
patriotism, and implied threats. The leaders of the mass
media were often politically compatible with the power
elite. The result was usually success in keeping the
general public unaware of the regimesl excesses.

7. Obsession with national security. Inevitably, a
national security apparatus was under direct control
of the ruling elite. It was usually an instrument of
oppression, operating in secret and beyond any constraints.
Its actions were justified under the rubric of protecting
'national security,' and questioning its activities was
portrayed as unpatriotic or even treasonous.

8. Religion and ruling elite tied together. Unlike
communist regimes, the fascist and protofascist regimes
were never proclaimed as godless by their opponents.
In fact, most of the regimes attached themselves to the
predominant religion of the country and chose to portray
themselves as militant defenders of that religion.
The fact that the ruling elitels behavior was incompatible
with the precepts of the religion was generally swept
under the rug. Propaganda kept up the illusion that the
ruling elites were defenders of the faith and opponents
of the 'godless.' A perception was manufactured that
opposing the power elite was tantamount to an attack
on religion.

9. Power of corporations protected. Although the personal
life of ordinary citizens was under strict control, the
ability of large corporations to operate in relative
freedom was not compromised. The ruling elite saw the
corporate structure as a way to not only ensure military
production (in developed states), but also as an additional
means of social control. Members of the economic elite were
often pampered by the political elite to ensure a continued
mutuality of interests, especially in the repression of
'have-not' citizens.

10. Power of labor suppressed or eliminated. Since organized
labor was seen as the one power center that could challenge
the political hegemony of the ruling elite and its corporate
allies, it was inevitably crushed or made powerless.
The poor formed an underclass, viewed with suspicion or
outright contempt. Under some regimes, being poor was
considered akin to a vice.

11. Disdain and suppression of intellectuals and the arts.
Intellectuals and the inherent freedom of ideas and expression
associated with them were anathema to these regimes.
Intellectual and academic freedom were considered subversive to
national security and the patriotic ideal. Universities were
tightly controlled; politically unreliable faculty harassed
or eliminated. Unorthodox ideas or expressions of dissent were
strongly attacked, silenced, or crushed. To these regimes, art
and literature should serve the national interest or they had
no right to exist.

12. Obsession with crime and punishment. Most of these regimes
maintained Draconian systems of criminal justice with huge
prison populations. The police were often glorified and had
almost unchecked power, leading to rampant abuse. 'Normal' and
political crime were often merged into trumped-up criminal
charges and sometimes used against political opponents of the
regime. Fear, and hatred, of criminals or ôtraitorsö was often
promoted among the population as an excuse for more police power.

13. Rampant cronyism and corruption. Those in business circles
and close to the power elite often used their position to
enrich themselves. This corruption worked both ways; the power
elite would receive financial gifts and property from the
economic elite, who in turn would gain the benefit of government
favoritism. Members of the power elite were in a position to
obtain vast wealth from other sources as well: for example,
by stealing national resources. With the national security
apparatus under control and the media muzzled, this corruption
was largely unconstrained and not well understood by the
general population.

14. Fraudulent elections. Elections in the form of plebiscites
or public opinion polls were usually bogus. When actual
elections with candidates were held, they would usually be
perverted by the power elite to get the desired result.
Common methods included maintaining control of the election
machinery, intimidating and disenfranchising opposition
voters, destroying or disallowing legal votes, and, as a last
resort, turning to a judiciary beholden to the power elite.

Does any of this ring alarm bells? Of course not. After all,
this is America, officially a democracy with the rule of law,
a constitution, a free press, honest elections, and a
well-informed public constantly being put on guard against
evils. Historical comparisons like these are just exercises
in verbal gymnastics. Maybe, maybe not.

HITLER & SCHWARZENEGGER AS BEAST-MEN

Presidential political committee, LaRouche in 2004.

Many Californians and others have found it difficult to
explain how and why Hollywood geek-act Arnold Schwarzenegger
could have become so suddenly a prominent contender in an
impromptu race for Governor. They have been caught off guard
by Schwarzenegger, because they never really understood how
Adolf Hitler came to power in Germany. They have overlooked
the fact that Schwarzenegger was chosen for politics because
he is in real life, the unhuman beast-man whose role has
been his most lucrative Hollywood screen-role. They do not
understand what fascism really was, and is.

Schwarzenegger was thought of as only the kind of actor whose
natural talent was giving Narcissus a bad name, for a
co-starring role in real-life sleazy peep-shows,
on-oroff-stage. If they liked his movies, it was because they
liked the smell that reeks around dirty peep-shows. How did
he suddenly get into politics? Schwarzenegger was never really
an actor, not a political thinker; he was, like the worst of
his film characters, essentially a freak: a "Freddie," a
"Jason" from "Friday the Thirteenth."

Hitler, too, was a freak, a bizarre, predatory beast from the
pages of Satan-cultist Friedrich Nietzsche. It was his success
in training as an actor, that Hitler was trained to play the
theatrical role through which he campaigned for and became the
beast-man dictator of Germany.

Schwarzenegger was selected because his training for film-acting
had produced a type who fit the essentially Satanic, "beast-man"
role played by leading fascists such as Benito Mussolini,
Adolf Hitler, Francisco Franco, and so on. He was another such
"Dionysos" from the pages of Friedrich Nietzsche's wild rants.

The role Schwarzenegger was selected to perform on the California
political stage was a Hollywood "remake" of a kind of evil which
modern history has met in leading figures of France's Jacobin
Terror, in Napoleon Bonaparte, and in each of the whole pack of
leading fascist figures from the 1922-1945 interval.

The origin of those political figures in what has become known as
the fascist tradition, is an exotic freemasonic cult known
originally as the Martinists, which was used by a relevant network
of private bankers to launch the French Revolution and the tyranny
of Napoleon Bonaparte. It was the same Martinist cult, known
during the Twentieth Century as the Synarchist International,
which created the fascist beast-man figures of the 1922-1945
interval, and has produced a new batch of Synarchist figures,
including the U.S. neo-conservatives and Arnold
Schwarzenegger today.

Schwarzenegger, like Hitler, is set apart in a certain way from
more ordinary neo-conservatives such as Wolfowitz, Lewis Libby,
and so on. Those neo-conservatives are beastly in their own way,
but they lack that exotic appeal implied by the term charisma.
Hitler was developed as a figure of charisma. Schwarzenegger has
been transformed to similar effect, by Hollywood productions.
Transformed from a sleaze-ball sex-freak of the body-builder
sweat parlors, into a figure of charisma of a special kind:
the charisma of the beast-man.

There is nothing really mysterious about the quality of
charisma as represented by the images of Arnold Schwarzenegger
or the Hitler who is his original role-model. The street name
for Hitler's and Arnie's charisma, is fear, the mystical
impression that this is a man to be feared, awfully feared.
According to the original doctrine of the beast-man developed
by Martinists such as Joseph de Maistre, fear of such predatory
tyrants is not the fear of the power they are believed to
represent, but the kind of wild irrationality associated with
Roman Caesars such as Caligula or Nero; or that image of the
Spanish Inquisition which the Martinists admired.

In short, select geek-act-artist Schwarzenegger to play a role
like that a Caligula, Nero, Mussolini, or Hitler, on the
living-theater stage of improvisatory real politics. Draw upon
the pro-Hitler imageries which that actor had acquired from his
family household and other elements of his surroundings, and
then make the state of California the stage on which he is
cast to act out that role.

The relevant lesson to be learned from the current situation in
Iraq, is that neo-conservatives such as the fascists
Vice-President Cheney, Richard Perle, Donald Rumsfeld,
Paul Wolfowitz, and so on and so on, are not exactly geniuses.
Their power lies not in the development of their mental powers,
but in their lack of morals or rationality. Their power lies in
their disposition to act in ways no sane and moral person would
do. Their appeal lies entirely in the fear they instill because
of the part they are disposed to play, in whatever roles,
on-oroff-stage, they are cast.

restored to grace. Each has fallen because in self-will,
following the dictates of his reason, he acted in disobedience
to what was higher. For the Yezidis, the "Devil" is everywhere,
a "practitioner," in the sense of the third of the types of
school about which Gurdjieff told Ouspensky, fit for the
business of the world. In his nearness and familiarity, he is
an archetype of the returning prodigal, a model for the rest
of us who have "fallen," who are much closer to "devils" than
"angels." The "Devil" is also what none of us wish to look at
in ourselves, but must nevertheless see, for that "looking"
actualizes the possibility of redemption."

President Bush's nomination of Paul Wolfowitz to the helm
of the World Bank has touched off protests from all
around the world. Analysts see Wolfowitz as likely to
water down the global challenge of making poverty a thing
of the past in Africa and the third world in general.

These misgivings about the aptitude of this card-carrying
White House neo-con comes as a result of his record as a
die-hard defender of the US foreign policy interests
almost to the exclusion of everything else.

Writing in the Guardian newspaper, Noreena Hertz, the
author of IOU: the Debt Threat and Why We Must Defuse It,
recently described President Bush's choice of World Bank
chief thus: "Wolfowitz is hardly even a champion of the
values on which the bank was founded. He is neither well
placed to help it meet its early goal of helping countries
rebuild, nor its later one of poverty alleviation."

Hertz, who is also a professor of global political economy
at the University of Utrecht, is among critics who feel that
Wolfowitz will at best help the US to now go the whole hog
in hijacking the Breton Woods Institutions* to selfishly
serve her national interests.

Concern about him stems from the fact that he was among
the White House neo-conservatives that fuelled the US-led
invasion of Iraq and that during his stint as the
US Ambassador in Indonesia during the reign of the
corruption-ridden Suharto administration, he scarcely
criticized the despotic regime so long as the Foreign
policy interests of his country were not in jeopardy.

His unwavering subservience to the US interests is also
seen in the fact that he helped to block countries that
were opposed to the invasion of Iraq from bidding for
contracts to reconstruct the country after the bloody
ouster of Saddam Hussein. He has also been said to be
of the opinion that Iraq should meet all the costs of
the reconstruction despite the contracts having been
mostly awarded to such companies as Hurliburton
(whose former chief executive office is Dick Cheney,
another White House neo-con hawk who rose to
vice-presidency in the era of George W. Bush (Jnr).
Never mind also that the Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD)
that supposedly led to the invasion on Iraq have turned out
to be, as wags are putting it, 'Weapons of Mass Deception'.

With Wolfowitz as a key White House advisor, the US has
of late embarked on effecting tax cuts for the rich at
home and reducing aid to poor Americans as a strategy of
fixing the world's strongest economy. The global behemoth
that is the US has also reportedly cut off aid to
countries that do not exempt her from being accountable
to the International Criminal Court. Analysts feel that
even though Britain has announced that it would embark
on a program to make poverty history in Africa during
its presidency of the European Union through debt relief,
and given Tony Blair's Loyalty to his counterpart across
the Atlantic, it is highly unlikely that this will be
possible. Not with Wolfowitz in the driving seat.
Analysts even fear that just like it happened with
Turkey in the days of Iraq invasion, lending from the
World Bank will remain a carrot-and-stick affair with
those supporting US policy on various issues benefiting
while rebels might even be blacklisted on
less-than-principled grounds.

This fear stems from the fact that the US does not
seem to be in any hurry to reduce poverty in the
third world, at least going by the fact that it
continues advancing trade subsidies to its sugar and
cotton producers even when it is amply clear to all
and sundry that these subsidies distort world trade.

It remains also to be seen whether, under Wolfowitz,
the bank will continue its policy of basing its
lending on environmental considerations, as the
James Wolfesohn's regime at World Bank had tipped
it would.Environmental concerns is also an area
where the Bush administration has fared poorly.

With all these bleak predictions emanating from
pro - poverty eradication quarters all around
the world, Wolfowitz is bad news for Africa and
the entire Third World indeed.

until now, indicating that the allies of Big Oil in the
Bush Administration have defeated neo-conservatives and
their chief Wolfowitz. BBC Television Newsnight tells the
true story of the fall of the neo-cons. An investigation
conducted by BBC with Harper's magazine will also reveal
that the US State Department made detailed plans for war
in Iraq -- and for Iraq's oil -- within weeks of Bush's
first inauguration in 2001.

The Bush administration made plans for war and for Iraq's
oil before the 9/11 attacks sparking a policy battle
between neo-cons and Big Oil, BBC's Newsnight has revealed.

Two years ago today - when President George Bush announced
US, British and Allied forces would begin to bomb
Baghdad - protestors claimed the US had a secret plan
for Iraq's oil once Saddam had been conquered.

In fact there were two conflicting plans, setting off a
hidden policy war between neo-conservatives at the Pentagon,
on one side, versus a combination of "Big Oil" executives
and US State Department "pragmatists."

"Big Oil" appears to have won. The latest plan, obtained
by Newsnight from the US State Department was, we learned,
drafted with the help of American oil industry consultants.

Insiders told Newsnight that planning began "within weeks"
of Bush's first taking office in 2001, long before the
September 11th attack on the US.

An Iraqi-born oil industry consultant, Falah Aljibury,
says he took part in the secret meetings in California,
Washington and the Middle East. He described a State
Department plan for a forced coup d'etat.

Mr Aljibury himself told Newsnight that he interviewed
potential successors to Saddam Hussein on behalf of the
Bush administration.

Secret sell-off plan

The industry-favoured plan was pushed aside by yet
another secret plan, drafted just before the invasion
in 2003, which called for the sell-off of all of Iraq's
oil fields. The new plan, crafted by neo-conservatives
intent on using Iraq's oil to destroy the Opec cartel
through massive increases in production above Opec quotas.

The sell-off was given the green light in a secret
meeting in London headed by Ahmed Chalabi shortly
after the US entered Baghdad, according to Robert Ebel.
Mr. Ebel, a former Energy and CIA oil analyst, now a
fellow at the Center for Strategic and International
Studies in Washington, flew to the London meeting, he
told Newsnight, at the request of the State Department.

Mr Aljibury, once Ronald Reagan's "back-channel" to Saddam,
claims that plans to sell off Iraq's oil, pushed by the
US-installed Governing Council in 2003, helped instigate
the insurgency and attacks on US and British occupying forces.

"Insurgents used this, saying, 'Look, you're losing your
country, your losing your resources to a bunch of wealthy
billionaires who want to take you over and make your life
miserable," said Mr Aljibury from his home near San Francisco.

"We saw an increase in the bombing of oil facilities,
pipelines, built on the premise that privatization
is coming."

Privatization blocked by industry

Philip Carroll, the former CEO of Shell Oil USA who took
control of Iraq's oil production for the US Government a
month after the invasion, stalled the sell-off scheme.

Mr Carroll told us he made it clear to Paul Bremer, the US
occupation chief who arrived in Iraq in May 2003, that:
"There was to be no privatization of Iraqi oil resources
or facilities while I was involved."

The chosen successor to Mr Carroll, a Conoco Oil
executive, ordered up a new plan for a state oil
company preferred by the industry.

Ari Cohen, of the neo-conservative Heritage Foundation,
told Newsnight that an opportunity had been missed to
privatise Iraq's oil fields. He advocated the plan as
a means to help the US defeat Opec, and said America
should have gone ahead with what he called a
"no-brainer" decision.

Mr Carroll hit back, telling Newsnight, "I would agree
with that statement. To privatize would be a no-brainer.
It would only be thought about by someone with no brain."

New plans, obtained from the State Department by
Newsnight and Harper's Magazine under the US Freedom
of Information Act, called for creation of a state-owned
oil company favored by the US oil industry. It was
completed in January 2004, Harper's discovered, under
the guidance of Amy Jaffe of the James Baker Institute
in Texas. Former US Secretary of State Baker is now an
attorney. His law firm, Baker Botts, is representing
ExxonMobil and the Saudi Arabian government.

Questioned by Newsnight, Ms Jaffe said the oil industry
prefers state control of Iraq's oil over a sell-off because
it fears a repeat of Russia's energy privatization.
In the wake of the collapse of the Soviet Union, US oil
companies were barred from bidding for the reserves.

Jaffe said "There is no question that an American oil
company ... would not be enthusiastic about a plan that
would privatize all the assets with Iraq companies and
they (US companies) might be left out of the transaction."

In addition, Ms. Jaffe says US oil companies are not
warm to any plan that would undermine Opec,
"They [oil companies] have to worry about the price of oil."

"I'm not sure that if I'm the chair of an American company,
and you put me on a lie detector test, I would say high oil
prices are bad for me or my company."

The former Shell oil boss agrees. In Houston, he told
Newsnight, "Many neo conservatives are people who have
certain ideological beliefs about markets, about democracy,
about this that and the other. International oil companies
without exception are very pragmatic commercial
organizations. They don't have a theology."

A State Department spokesman told Newsnight they intended
"to provide all possibilities to the Oil Ministry of Iraq
and advocate none".
