I hope that one day everyone here on this board will chant a million
Daimoku block(3 hours a day for 2 months or 2 hours a day for 3 months for
example). I believe it is a very significant cause or effort. I have
accomplished it one time for sure(as a conscious effort) and one time, I
believe, just chanting alot for several months. Other significant Buddhist
practices, are purported to be: Chanting 7 hours a day for 7 days(once
accomplished); 24 hours a day for 7 days(can't imagine it); ~ 24 hours a day
for 21 days(is it possible?): ~ 20 hours a day for 100 days(10,000,000
Daimoku) which some Nichiren priests perform before being "certified" and
again, as a layman, I find this hard to fathom; and at least 30 minutes a day
for three years without missing once(have not yet accomplished). Anyway, from
the Kempon Hokke perspective, even chanting 10,000,000 Daimoku with incorrect
faith, is not as valuable as one Daimoku chanted with correct faith.

By your admission, all of the people in this newsgroup all practice incorrectly
(i.e., the incorrect Object of Worship, not chanting the full 7 characters, not
having a REAL Nichiren mandala, etc.). Why, then, would you ask these people
to chant one million Daimoku is they will be chanting with incorrect faith?

You may find this difficult to believe, but I am not asking this question to be
sarcastic or to mock you....these things you have said in the past. I would
like to know why, now, after saying all these things, you have asked all the
people here to chant so many Daimoku?

In peace,

It is better to chant Daimoku with the SGI or the NST than to be the
Patrairch of the Chan sect of Zen or the Dalai Lama.
That doesn't mean the benefits are the same as chanting with a correct
faith but it is still a superior practice to all the practices of all the other
Buddhist sects combnined. This is my belief.

How can you tell? When were you either?
From what I have seen on arbn there is nothing even remotely attractive
or beneficial about being with NST, however, were I the Patriarch of the
Chan sect of Zen or the Dalai Lama, armed with Myoho Renge Kyo,
I would regard the future with quiet satisfaction.

It would be a significant advance for Kosenrufu.

That is a terribly weak answer...why, then, did you not stay with the
SGI (I believe you said you were a former member of the SGI)?

Even if, in your words, it is an incorrect practice, it is still better
than the other Buddhist sects??? That is the most incredible display of
logic I have ever heard.

I have an intensive meditation retreat to attend...I feel I would do
better to prepare for that, rather than continue this pseudo-debate.
