This whole thing started when Em started to dis them. then ICP came back with
there Slim Anus song. I use to be a fan of ICP but then I did find out that
they were wack but Eminem said that they ran ICP out of clubs. My ass Eminem
cant even sell out a crowd in Detriot when ICP sells out that place in a matter
of hours.

Not trying to defend ICP, yes they are rather wack and have set white
hip-hop back (in terms of it ever being taken seriously) but they also
have been around for years, about 10 i believe.. as for kicking Eminem's
ass... i don't know about that one... some peeps from Detroit have told
me that they used to get their asses kicked all the time after talking
shit like that... one time someone threw an empty 40 bottle at their
truck, and it went RIGHT INSIDE the open window... and they didn't do a
damn thing, they just kept on driving... another one i talked to said he
went to an ICP concert one time for the sole purpose of kicking Violent
J's ass after the show... so, pretty much, ICP talk a whole lot of shit
that they can't physically back up, and I don't really think that Eminem
has anything to be worried about there

This is off the point but is the truck they drive a black S-10? I seen
some guys in a Car Audio mag that looked a lot like the clowns with a
black S-10. The system was hella nice. If it was them i got to give
them props for thier excellent choice in audio equipment. Now if they
just made music that would be playable on that equipment they would be
doing good.

Maybe you don't know this but ICP Have been the Eminem. They have five full
legnth albums, 6 if you count dog beats, 3 eps, a double cd set of mostly
unreleased and rare stuff, none of which is contained on any of there previous
albums or ep's. Not to mention countless singles and promotional concert give
aways, many of which have songs you can't find any where else. Now I'm not
saying they are the most talented two guys in the world. Far from it. What they
are are two guys that know how to market themselves very well, a well as being
extremely enteraining if you take them at face value. And as fortake Eminems
spotlight thats just ridiculous seeing as they been in the industry, actually
making records, much longer then he has so therefore there fan base has been
established far before Eminem's. You don't have to like them, but at least get
your facts straight

I'm glad to see someone is starting to get on Eminem, because he is
loosing it. The guy for some understands that people don't think of him as
being "black", so he has to try and approach rap with this new sound. So
Matthews brings this talk about taking drugs, getting diseases, or raping
little girls and the wackiest part of all is that he has never done any of
these. He's a complete joke. I give him respect for being different, but
he is in the wrong crowd..he's too damn goofy. I think his best shit is the
new unreleased material where he works with other people. His official
websight has some decent rare heard tracks.

yo for real you cats always talk about mtv and shit. mtv ain't got shit
to do with shit. i don't care how much mtv boosts sales. everyone on
this ng that rhymes wants to be on mtv. shit i know i do. i want people
all over the world to see my video. and if that boosts my sales then
good. if you are on mtv, people ain't gonna see your tape and say "he's
wack but i'll buy it because he was on mtv." they'll see your tape and
buy it if you're good and say "i saw that cat's video he was dope. i'm
going to buy this." what's wrong with that? i don't like 95% of what i
see on mtv. and i don't buy the tapes. mtv is an outlet that lets you
see and hear a persons music. that's all. and that is a very good thing.
shit i wish i had seen a few people on mtv before i bought the album. i
wouldn't have wasted the money.

I'm not saying people will purchase your album solely because they saw your
video on Mtv. It goes a lot deeper than that. Somebody may see your video,
and they find that they connect with the song, and therefore they'll buy it.
They aren't gonna buy it just because you're on Mtv, they're gonna buy it
because they like the music and Mtv is the reason that they saw it.

Mtv has a very *dominant* position in the music industry. If you can get
your video on Mtv's daytime programming you *will* go platinum. Period.

It has it's downsides though. Mtv is the #1 maker of hit artists. Of
course it's also the #1 cause of artist burnout. As soon as they're tired
of you, they stop airing your videos and replace them with the videos of
someone who is going to make them more money. Whatever goes up on Mtv is
going to come down. Hard.

Mtv wants money. They could give a fuck less about spreading good music.

I'm glad they dont play all types of rap on MTV. But thats probably 'cause
I'd rather liten to the radio then watch TV. I'd rather have channels on the
box like you do on the radio. One station would just play pop etc. tune into
another and you got hip-hop. Another Jazz etc. I'd rather see that on TV
then
a channel that plays a little of this and the other occasionnaly. But like
Todd
said in the previous post, it all comes down to money. That is the main
reason
I'd like it to be more seperate...

I want to start my own radio station, I know people around my area get tired
of hearing the bullshit like the edited Trick Daddy, or Ja-Rule shit. I
want to play Rakim, Beatnuts, And other shit.

Does anyone know anything about the FCC or shit.. If I could get a list of the
shit I could do to start one i would invest my money into it. I just dont
want to get a $200,000 dollar fine and prison time. I want a legit one, where
I can play at least some profanity, even if it is at night.

Good to see positivity come from negativity...

Sorry cant help. But in London we got plenty of Pirate stations which play
dope,
dope shit all the time. But all the main Hip-hop DJ's working today, started
off on
a pirate station. Especially back in the day, when you wouldnt hear any rap
on the
known stations. Dont worry about the prison time, you gotta worry when they
take
away all your equipment, which leaves you with no tools to use...
