Hi, Biff,
Thanks for the input it has been forwarded to the compiler of

Newbie here, who is probably the only guy on this ng who doesn't know
the answer to this undoubtedly easy question.

My Mozilla email client keeps changing my pop email server name from
pop.earthlink.net to 127.0.0.1. Often when that happens Mozilla reports
there no email is waiting to be downloaded. Then I manually change the
server name, and ... lo and behold ... there's all my email.

I'm running McAfee's security software but the Spamkiller application is
turned off (I think).

Any suggestions?

My first suggestion would be to turn off the McAfee email virus
scanner, change your server back to earthlink, and see if it happens
again.

Others have posted similar problems in various fora and the answer is
frequently that the anti-virus program screws up. If this solves your
problem, it's time to get a better program. I'd recommend Avast! and
it's free.

I put 127.0.0.1 intellitxt.com in my HOSTS file,

intellitxt in my DNSK "named.txt",

and in Edexter Pac File -D intellitxt.com
-U *-intellitxt-*

That blocked the link in that page the other day.

a slight correction: that intellitxt syntax can be found on neowin.NET
pages - not neowin.com pages as i specified in my previous reply.
sorry for the mistake!
