Just had to have my 20 month old Shepherd put to sleep , bloody heart
broken

I assume Shepherd is a ferret's name. So sorry to hear this. Ferrets
don't live near long enough for me but 20 months is just plain
cruel....to you and the ferret.

I only have one now and she's very much a people person. She even
sleeps with me under the covers. Never had one do that before. She's
also now the longest living ferret that I've owned. She's almost 7.
The other three died at ages, 4.5, 5.5, and 6.5. I still miss them
all.

Oh man! That's even worse. Dogs should live much longer than that and
ferrets. So sorry to hear that, Steve. I know that crushed you. What
was wrong with him/her? That was so young.

Do you still have your ferrets? Most likely a new generation by now
if you do.

We think he had an issue in his brain, sudenly started to growl at my
daughters , went to attack me several times, sometimes went blank,
possibly some sought of fit, we are not sure, vet couldnt fathom the
issue either such a wonderful dog too faithfull intelligent.

Its upset thw whole household
