Doesnt Make Sense ISO burning error

Ok downloaded Mandriva-linux-free-2010.0x86_64 from torrent tried to burn
DVD from the ISO file and got this error. I have used k3b for over a year
and never received this message.

What's going on?

Input output error. Possibly bad DVD. Or bad dvd drive.

Of course you could instead use the real cdrecord (cdrecord.berlios.de) download
latest which might help.

Ended up cleaning the laser on my cd/dvd player, everything working fine
now.

I wish that would work on my cd-dvd reader writer! The OS sees it as
a 'Generic', and that's what it is...generic. I think it stands for
geriatric. Sometimes it works, most the time not, so I use my wifes
external cd-dvd reader writer and that one works all the time. Oh, it's
an LG, model GE20 manufactured Dec 2008.
