Many of us remember his circa 1978 "Junk Food Junky" (recorded live at McCabe's
Guitar Shop on L.A.'s Pico Blvd. right at the freeway, of all places) as maybe
the cleverest--and most pointedly lampooning of liberals, not
incidentally!--novelty record of the entire rock era.
Is he still alive, and if so, is he still recording or at least performing?

McCabe's!!! That's where I bought my first and only guitar - a Dobro
that was previously owned by one of the owners (who, if memory serves
me, was in the Stone Ponies and a friend of ... flutter, drool ...
Linda Ronstadt). b

Larry Groce appears to have been a one-hit wonder!
And thanks as well for not stating the obvious--that Yours Truly was an
absolute idiot in that posting, both for misremembering his name as "Larry
Croce", and misspelling "Junkie" in the title of his novelty tune. Ergo, my
heartfelt apology to all alt.obiters who read my sloppy posting.
(Now when is someone going to apologize to ME for any of the semi-literate
postings I must wade through daily, just to keep current on whose hearts are
still beating?!?)
