Believe me, I DID mean to erase the last two (as well as Joan Leslie) but had a case of butterfingers. However, I honestly did not know about the first three, even though Wally Cassell's name was the only one that didn't clearly appear in alt.obits at the right time.

Actually, there's one person to add to the top of your list. German actress Edith Meinhard is still living. She was born in 1908 and is currently 107 years old. UD

Wouldn't HERMAN WOUK (b. May 2015) qualify for inclusion on this roster? On first look, he's a novelist and playwright whose works have been adapted for the screen ("Marjorie Morningstar," "The Caine Mutiny Court-Martial"); however, IMdB lists Wouk as a screenwriter on the TV mini-series "The Winds of War" and "War and Remembrance," both based on his novels.

I had no idea; she is not listed at genarians.com.

I see she was in "Diary of a Lost Girl." Was she the one dancing with Louise Brooks?

(That photo - second one down - is in "The Celluloid Closet.")

Not in my opinion; after all, he's too well known already for his books. I've already listed him in my authors' list.

On top of that, somehow I failed to list French cinematographer Raoul
Coutard ("Breathless"). He should be at the end of the 1924 list. He has
dozens of credits, including "Shoot the Piano Player," "Jules and Jim,"
"The Bride Wore Black," and "Z."
