ZANETTE, Antonio Luigi (Tony) Born on February 27, 1926 in Azzano
Decimo, Pordenone, Italy. Passed away peacefully while in the care of
his family on May 22, 2008. Beloved husband of the late Anna Lina
Zanette (nee Santarossa) (August 5, 2007). Cherished father of
Eleonore Zanette of Tecumseh, Adrienne and Terry Lapain of Tecumseh
and Louis and Anne Marie Zanette of Naples, Florida. Treasured Nonno
of Christine and Stefanie Rossi; Shawn, Shane and Matthew Lapain and
Anthony and Ryan Zanette. Predeceased by his parents Luigi and
Virginia Zanette of Italy. Loving son-in-law to the late Marco and
Anna Santarossa of Italy. Adored brother of Dorina and Angelo Fier.
Loving brother-in-law of the late Rosalia and Giuseppe Gabbana, the
late Clelia and Angelo Chiarot, Yolanda and her late husband Fabio
Gardonio, Maria and her late husband Enrico Gurizatti, Gemma and her
late husband Mario Casara, the late Zaira and Pietro Bidinost, the
late Evaristo and his wife Genoeffa Santarossa. Tony is survived by
many nieces, nephews and cousins in Windsor, Toronto, Sudbury, Italy,
Argentina, Greece and France.

Tony traveled to Windsor with only $7 in his pocket and a brand new
bride by his side. He started his own company and became a well
respected and devoted entrepreneur here in Canada as well as the
United States. He loved spending time cooking for his family, telling
stories of his life, and travelling the world with his wife. He was a
member of the Giovanni Caboto Club, and the Fogolar Furlan where he
spent many Wednesdays playing cards and bocce.

Our appreciation to Melinda Malabuza (caregiver), for all of your
support and your wonderful care to our father and mother. Special
thanks to Dr. Kizis, Dr. Bautista, staff of 6 North Windsor Regional
Hospital and the team at Malden Park palliative care. If you so
desire, donations to the Windsor Essex County Cancer Centre Foundation
or to the Italian Canadian Handicapable Association would be
appreciated by the family. Parish prayers will be held at Families
First Funeral Home & Tribute Centre. Family and friends are invited to
meet at Corpus Christi Church. Entombment at Heavenly Rest Cemetery.
Dad's pride and joy was his family and his beloved grandchildren.
