(translated by Alta Vista)- The actor Philippe Volter put an end to his
days, in Paris. He was hardly 45 years old. One remembers in particular
his roles in "the Master of music" or in films of Kristof Kieslowski.
More recently, it had taken again the artistic direction of the comedy
Claude Volter. Wire of the director Claude Volter and the actress
Jacqueline Birr, it is very young which Philippe Volter will take taste
with the spectacle. Its career starts with the theatre in Brussels and
then begins with the cinema in 1985 in a fresco from Hugo Klaus "the
lion from Flandres", before being noticed in "the Master of music" of
Gerard Corbiau in 1988 when it interprets a young hooligan who learns
the song near the Master, Vandam. With a physique of dark young person,
it quickly takes down important roles near particular realizers. With
Christophe Kieslowski, it will play the lover of Irene Jacob in "the
double life of Veronique", then in "Three blue colors" at the sides of
Juliette Binoche. Violent husband of Beatrice Dal in "wood blacks",
this role is worth to him a nomination in Césars of the best hope in
1990. Will be connected telefilms and full-length films then. One can
quote inter alia "Madam off-handedness" of Philippe De Broca and very
recently "honest people live in France" of Bob Decoute with Victoria
April. Decided to return to Belgium, it had accepted the artistic
direction of the Comedy Claude Volter after the death of his father and
it is there that it had put in scene here are two years, remarkable "a
Misanthropist".

One thing is clear: the makers of machines have not yet reached the
point where they can design machines capable of translating text from
one language to another. Still, I'm pretty amazed that the machine can
do as well as it does.
