Should be 7th?
Tallulah Bankhead
http://www.otrcat.com/tallulah-bankhead-p-48852.html
Greta Garbo is probably at the top of mine. she had a really cool
voice, too. (watch Ninotchka for her vocal debut.)
WTF does this have to do with tennis, Yes, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd,
or The Beatles?
??No Jayne Mansfield or Mae West??
Mae West even sang Twist and Shout when she was in her 70's in that
Mae West style
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C4Eol9g_TT4
She also sang Great Balls of Fire
Title: "Top 10 most beautiful..."
The list contains 12.
AFAIA none of these played tennis to any acknowledged standard.
Some were dead before the Beatles became famous, never mind Yes/Floyd/
Zep.
Did any of them appear on the cover of Pepper? Were any of them name-
checked in any songs?
Oh, and Maureen O'Hara should not be #1.
Perhaps not, but when I initially saw the subject line, her name was
the first one to pop into my head.
She was a flaming lesbo too. Although that has nothing to do with
beauty. But I do not find her face that naturally beautiful.
You forgot #1... Rita Hayworth...
Looked like a hooker
> or Mae West??
Fat and out of shape.
Thats because you are a blind fuck. I saw her in Parent Trap when she
was 41. She is pretty old there and she is still stunning. She looks
fabulous in The Black Swan (saw some clips of it) when she was just
19.
Yeah, JohnB, your opinion is wrong. Raja says so.
So how long are you going to wear out your welcome, KHO?
So my opinion being different to yours merits this foul abuse, eh?
So what if you saw her in some film when she was 41 or in some other
film when she was 19. I've seen loads of films too including a number
with Gene Tierney, Ingrid Bergman, Myrna Loy, Hedy Lamarr, Natalie
Wood, etc.. Oh, and IMHO my wife was better looking at 41 than Maureen
O'Hara was.
lol, it does... because it was typically ignorant.

They are all very beautiful. How many movies of Maureen O'Hara have
you seen from the 1930s and 1940s?
> Oh, and IMHO my wife was better looking at 41 than Maureen

lol. Women typically look at their best between the age of 18 and 30.
Can you post a picture of your wife? I doubt your claims.
Just like his taste in music, his taste in women sucks too ;-)
http://www.meredy.com/maureenohara/biography.html
Once named one of the world's most beautiful women, O'Hara's
beautiful face and thick red hair blowing in the wind as she waves
from a gate in the Academy Award-winning film How Green Was My Valley
will remain one of the most iconic images ever preserved on film.
... and it continues.

Of course you doubt my claims. You also do not share my ideas of what
makes a woman beautiful. There are photos of my wife on the internet
but I'm not going to point you at them just so you can come back to me
with more abuse.
This is an example of the worst of your attitude and behaviour.
1) not Kho Raja
2) not Kho Raja
3) not Kho Raja
4) not Kho Raja
5) not Kho Raja
Take the hint. It just goes downhill from here.
so of course you didn't. Just like you don't like Yes but you haven't
heard any of their albums. You stink!

why would I if I find her beautiful. you are just bluffing here.

whatever... show your wifes' pic... and stop lying. Your wife is no
way more beautiful than this. If she was indeed, she wouldn't be
married to you.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2x6xe8gJ_wE
Oh well, if having poor taste in music means having loads of better
albums to listen to than anything Led Zeppelin, Yes, Van der Graaf
Generator and ELP put out, so be it. I'm happy with that.
And if preferring Ingrid Bergman to Maureen O'Hara means I have poor
taste in women, I'm not worried about that either.
Tell me, Raja, how gorgeous is your wife? Could you post a picture for
us all to drool over?

Pray tell us, who has fought off all the opposition to become your
wife?
ELP - I do not like much. And it is perfectly understandable if you
hate them. They only wrote few songs which are memorable anyways.
VDGG were fairly inaccessible and definitely not the league of Yes or
Zeppelin and only at their very best they made high quality stuff.
But if you do hate/dislike Zeppelin or Yes or haven't heard their
albums, you are not a rock fan and you taste in rock music stinks. And
if you like the airy-fairy and gentle pop music and do not like
rocking music, you are too much of a wimp.
> I'm happy with that.
> And if preferring Ingrid Bergman to Maureen O'Hara means I have poor
Ingrid Bergman is my favorite actress and I think Maureen O'Hara and
Bergman are both 10/10. I had to put someone at the top. Ingrid was of
course also the best actress of all time. Maureen is just an okay
actress.
> taste in women, I'm not worried about that either.

I don't have a wife. Why haven't you still posted your wife's pic?
What are those albums? And how much do you like them? I recall you
poking fun at Yes at every opportunity long back.

Thats none of your business. If I had a wife, and I thought she is

her pic.

Ah, but you don't. So you can't.
I have. It's up to you to find it.
So 5 then, not 4. So what do you think of The Yes Album/Fragile/CTTE?
I don't care much for Going For the One. So curious to know what do
you think about those 3.
Good you finally get it.
Hmm... I need to check archives for this. I am sure you have posted
snide remarks about both.

Well, their first album is much better than Going For The One or Tales
or Time And A Word.

Freedom of expression? Last time I checked, I live in USA, not
Afghanistan or communist Russia.

Thats not true though. Moody Blues are not hard rock, nor macho, nor
technical show offs. And they are one of my favorites. I like Beatles
very much as well. As well as the Rolling Stones.

Murder Ballads? LOL what the hell is that. Maxwell's Silver Hammer?

Stop proclaiming that she is more beautiful than the best looking
actresses of all time, then. I don't why you are so paranoid about
showing a pic of your wife. Do you think I will steal her from you ;-)
Get what? That you're talking out of your arse again?
Don't expect to ever have many friends with this attitude then. What
you lack is respect.

Maxwell's Silver Hammer!!! Really!!! Try looking up "The Cruel
Mother", one of the best known, or "Lord Lankin" (sometimes "Lord
Lambkin") or "The Twa Sisters". Or try just searching Wikipedia.

I'm not paranoid. As I say, there are pictures to be found quite
easily using Google Images if you know what to search for. I don't see
why I should make it any easier for you. All the information you need
is available to you. I bet poiisoned rose or RichL or many of the
others could find her quite quickly if they wanted (which I can't
imagine they would).
And what makes you think you'd stand any chance at all with my wife?
Steal her, indeed! Ha!
His voice is one of the most beautiful angelic voices ever in rock
music. So you need to clear your ear wax.
>and his lyrics even more so,
His lyrics are spiritual and too deep for anyone to get it. But I
don't care much for the lyrics as most of their songs have long
instrumental sections, which is the best part of their music.
> so I
> tend to pick and choose what I listen to. Most of what I like is on

So you own Ultimate Yes only. Anyone who owns The Yes Album, Fragile,
Close To The Edge need not buy Ultimate Yes. So you are as usual full
of shit. And anyway it is ridiculous to listen to compilations of
bands like Pink Floyd, Yes, Zeppelin etc. They made album oriented
music and their music is best enjoyed when you listen to their albums
from beginning to end. And you are hugely missing out on their self
titled debut and Relayer.
I have many friends out here. And we have mutual respect.

She would not be interested in someone who shows so little initiative.
I don't suppose you have any idea what it really feels like to love
someone as a soul mate, do you?

statement.

There's as much logic to what I'm suggesting as there is to your

Oh, wait. I've just realised. Is your soul mate a man? (I have no
problem with that :-)
Listening to ballads is not very macho.

I just said you taste in music and women stinks. I don't have any
other personal details about you and don't judge you on that.

Is that supposed to be an insult? Another wimpy line of attack ;-)
Another pronouncement with absolutely nothing to back it up.

So what was the insult above meant to be?

No. Why? Do you take it that way? It wasn't an attack at all. It was
simply a broad-minded acceptance that I might have misunderstood
something.
Whats that, Nostradamus?

I don't think it is an insult to question someone's taste in music or
women. I have been questioned on about my taste in alcohol before... I
happen to like the sweet ones only. And I don't take it as an insult.

No. I am not attracted to men in that way.

I meant the reference to my employment.

... which I'm sure is reciprocated.
Oh, by the way. I am a fan of the Beatles and Pink Floyd - and to a
lesser extent Led Zeppelin and Yes, and every year I watch Wimbledon,
so I may have some interest in each of the groups this is being posted
to. However, you did start off with a list of "Top 10 most beautiful
actresses...". Why did you not post this to a movie group?
Didn't you just get married two years ago, Khuzaima? That was quick.
She couldn't handle your OCD, huh?
Anyway, my top 10 as follows, the order may change daily:
1. Natalie Wood

2. Grace Kelly

3. Maureen O'Sullivan

4. Audrey Hepburn
5. Brigitte Bardot
6. Olivia de Havilland
7. Shirley Temple
8. Vivien Leigh

9. Janet Leigh

10. Kim Novak

Honorary mentions to Norma Jean Baker and Elizabeth Taylor.
Well... they are all beauties... Lana Turner, Grace Kelly, Gene
Tierney, Gergory Peck, Robert Mitchem, Frank Sinatra (who slept with
Turner and Tierney and Lauren Bacall and Gardner and Juliet Prouse,
etc.) all the executives at MGM on record and the suits at
International Pictures have always said Ava Gardner was by far the
most beautiful women of all the 40s and 50s stars in Hollywood...
James Craig and Artie Shaw both said 'in person' you just couldn't
believe just how beautiful and seductive she was...

You mean *Hollywood* actresses, right? :)
Else Indian actress Madhubala should be on this list too!
http://www.indusage.com.au/wp-content/plugins/wp-o-matic/cache/316a2_madhubala.jpg
Nancy Davis (Reagan) was said to be the BJ queen of 40s Hollywood. Not
much to look at, but studio execs knew who to call when they needed a
touching-up.
Let me guess - you are an American ... ?
Max
He was born in India, but went to Detroit and then Texas. He graduated
from Cypress Springs HS in TX in 2000, and iirc, U of TX in 2004.
Currently residing in Houston.
Oh, so she bailed before the weding?
Tell us some hot German actresses, Maxie. Is there a thing as a hot
German actress?
> Max
C'mon, Kho, tell us whatcha know....
Hey can ya sneak into his home and set up silent fart bombs so that
they go off everytime he logs in to his computer?
Wrong on all counts. Idiot. At least do a good stalking job
Amy?
No idea.
But when we compare US and German tennis players (Seles, Navratilova,
Capriati, Davenport, S. Williams vs. Graf, Huber, Bunge, Kandarr,
Lisicki) the Germans could be ahear actress-wise as well.

life God will give you blood to drink"

Seles...Serb
Navratilova...Czech
Capriati...?
Davenport...US!
Williams...Africa
That leaves only 1 to 2 of those players you mentioned being genetically
from US. Hardly a strong position for genetic comparison(beauty).
Davenport would be English, by your classification. That would leave
us with Native Americans, and there are no Native American tennis
players that I can think of.
I do count of English origin as Americans. Unless you claim Indians
populate the hollywood...
At any case, Seles and Navratilova hardly represent beauty of US origin...
My point is you cannot apply different standards to Davenport and
Serena. Serena is as American as Davenport is.
Capriati, Davenport and Williams are all American by birth.
Capriati's not bad looking either!
She was cute, before she went on the juice.
No doubt.
Would you claim that Serena's dna is closer to English instead of African?
So your claim is that American black people are better looking than
German black people?
...and especially in films of 1920-1959...
The question was originally about looks of American actresses vs German
actresses.
Of course if you think it's about location and not genes then be my guest...
Even Halle Berry, Angela Bassett, Queen Latifah are American
actresses. So yes, they would figure in the conversation as well.
and Halle Berry would raise the average level of US actresses for sure.
Then why did Owens change her name to Latifah of African origin?
Is she saying she is not American by origin?
And if she moved to Germany?
er.....she would live in Germany.
Which one is more beautiful African-American actress, Halle Berry or
Charlize Theron?
By the way, why has no one mentioned Audrey Hepburn, surely one of the
prettiest faces of the 20th century?
Definitely. I listed her 4th on my first post in this thread. Am I the
only fan of Maureen O'Sullivan though?
http://www.doctormacro.com/Images/O%27Sullivan,%20Maureen/O%27Sullivan,%20Maureen_02.jpg
Davenport is from Irland or Great Britain, you retard!
Max
I personally would say Halle Berry but it's a difficult choice.
Not sure what you're trying to achieve by saying they're both African-
American though. Charlize Theron is South African through and through.
That explains her accent then.
Charlize Theron is an American citizen now. And she's from Africa...so
that should make her African-American in your book...
Hmm didn't realize she was a naturalised US citizen. Still the term
"African-American" as you know refers only to black Americans of
African descent. So you still couldn't use it to describe Charlize
Theron.
I just did!

I love John Ford, but this is one of those cases where the movie
cannot hope to do justice to the book. It's one of the most beautiful
I've read, and the Welsh language figures as one of the main
characters. And, lovely as she was, Maureen O'Hara as Angharad wasn't
as I pictured her. I'm glad I read the book before I saw the
adaptation.
I loved Custer La Rue's version of the Twa Sisters; do you have any
particular faves for this great ballad?
Here are some other entrants to consider --
Dana Wynter in The List of Adrian Messenger
Kate Hepburn in The Philadelphia Story
Nastassja Kinski in Cat People
Helena Rojo in Aguirre, Wrath of God
Claudia Ohana in Erendira
Ursula Andress in The Tenth Victim and Dr No
Charlotte Rampling in Zardoz
Jacqueline Bisset in Airport
And even Vanessa Redgrave is quite sexy in Antonioni's Blow-Up.
Obviously this is no longer confined to the 20s to the 50s.
Godddamned, boy!! What about Morgan Fairthighs or Barrette Peter-s?
Tight and sweet as they come.
