"We're In This Together" to be released on November 15th:
CAT. - NO.: 497 140 -2
1. We're In This Together (radio edit)
2. The Day The World Went Away (quiet version)
3. The Day The World Went Away (porter rick mix)

CAT.-NO.: 497 142 -2
1. We're In This Together (album version)
2. 10 Miles High (long)
3. The New Flesh

CAT.-NO.: 497 183 -2
1. We're In This Together (album version)
2. The Perfect Drug
3. Complication

this is ridiculous. $30.00, for this? the only thing i wanna hear off this
is "10 Miles High (long)"...and i really can't see how much "longer" this will
actually be, but thanks trent, thanks alot for putting one dimly promising
track on there.

and oh yeah, why does this have to be on THREE INDEPENDENT CD'S?? it should'nt
be NINE songs, it should be SEVEN (subtracting the 2 needless "album versions"
of WITT)...oh wait, no....it should be SIX damn songs! there's no reason for
"The Perfect Drug" to be on there either. so once again, thank you trent for
expecting fans to pay $30.00 for NINE songs, rather than $10.00 for 6...

Nobody force you to bye them all. It愀 3 different catalogue numbers, so I guess
it will be available on 3 separated CD愀. Bye the CD who愀 interesting for you and
leave the others in the store. There愀 just a problem if you愉e a passionate
collector...

weeeeeell, remember that not everybody has a record player. as far as i'm
concerned, i'm getting 3 new tracks. which means i probably won't be buying
the last one unless i see it really fucking cheap.

and that's assuming that this information is even correct. where did you get
it from? don't say sls...i'm already more than a bit suspicious with the
inclusion of 'the perfect drug'......

regardless, trent's always been very generous with bsides/remixes - much
more so than the average musician. he's allowed to slack off once in a while
just like everybody else.

Here's the deal:

first of all, according to Weathermen Records (not SLS, which all of you
distrust based on personality, not journalism), it was canceled.

second of all: "the perfect drug" would not be on the single. no artist
re-releases a song without remixing it. (esp. if the song was a single
already)

The two discs (if this is real; anyone can make up catalog numbers) that
seem worth buying are 140-2 and 142-2. At least with number one you get the
Porter Ricks mix. One 142-2 you get "10 Miles High" and "The New Flesh,"
which is great because we can stop being so anal retentive about TF vinyl 3,
Side A. :)

Not that a track called "10 Miles High (longer)" existed. I was kinda hoping
for a non-reconstructed version.

huh? happens all the time. look at Manson's 'Beautiful People' uk cd
single...one of the parts had the album version for 'Snake-Eyes and
Sissies.' it's a cd single intended for the German maket, these things
happen. lots of artists re-release songs as b-sides without remixing
them.

I think it was the double CD one that was cancelled.

It's done all the time. Bands put songs from previous albums on their
singles as an introduction to the band. The Tea Party and The Barenaked
Ladies are two examples.
However, this is the first time i've heard of one b-side ("TDTWWA (quiet)")
being on TWO separate singles. C'mon Trent, you can do better than that...

first of all, "weathermen records" = "just some guy who is friends with
evan"... need proof?

http://www.deadsouls.com/weathermen/gethere.gif

notice that evan always links to this guy...they've probably got some deal
going...or this guy's tongue is just firmly implanted in evan's asshole.
either way, "news" from weathermen records = news from SLS.

second of all, you accuse other people of not being objective when you yourself
can't even get the facts right about "weathermen records". do you think just
because it has a name and a webpage that it's any more legit than anything else
on the web?

Not sure...
The Day The World Went Away was never released in the UK, so it may be aimed
at people who never bothered getting an import...

I dunno...
