Hopeless, hopeless, hopeless. Constantly scouring the web for validation of
your limited musical tastes. What the hell do you care what other people
think?

Fuck, what's this doing here. Jumpin' Jack Flash would be a worthy replacement
in this spot, but it's not even in the top 100. Insane.

Can you post the top 10,000,000 classic rock songs? I recently had an
argument about position 9,481,067, and I need you to settle it.

Hey, "Raja," your stupid statements don't become any less stupid when you
post them like a 14-year old. However I realize that not sounding like a

I only see "Raja's" childish rants when he's on one of his cross-posting
binges, so I'm sure I've missed lots of his foolishness. However I can only
think of a couple of occasions when anyone had anything even slightly
positive to say about one of his posts, the overwhelming consensus appears
to be that he is a moron. How he translates that into him "pwning" those
who point out he's an idiot is something best left up to a mental health
professional. But I suspect that denying reality is something "Raja" is
good at--someone who is still single in his mid-30s and has Led Zeppelin
posters on his living room wall must have had to develop a thick skin.

I feel sad for the Who fans. Every poll out there, they finish lower

songs which are considered classics by everyone. Not just that they
have sold almost 5 times more than The Who in the US. Just plain
sad.... BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA...It must really hurt.

No, "Raja," I'm not sore about how many albums The Who have sold, I prefer
quality over quantity. But you seem a little testy, is still being single
in your mid-30s something you don't like to hear mentioned?

BTW, have you tried this place, or did they already reject you as
un-dateable?

Yeah, I'm sure Who fans are really losing sleep over all that! You're
nuts Rajy. Hey last night the wife and I watched a chunk of something
called The Who Live at Kilborn '77 that she caught happening during a
PBS pledge drive while I was at a gig a few weeks back and had the
presence of mind to DVR (we only got about the last half-dozen songs
or so). Apparently it was Moonie's next-to-last performance before
taking his leave. Anyway it was pretty cool, they really rocked
seriously, made a big wild extended jam out of about the last four or
five songs which were artfully segued together, we couldn't even tell
how rehearsed it was vs. how off-the-cuff, it did sound pretty
terrifically ragged in any case. Ox's riffs were amazing, just
improvising and weaving intricate melodies and sub-rhyhms under the
songs' structures the whole time, and Moon just looked like he'd
escaped from an insane asylum, or like a twelve-year old dreamer who'd
been slipped a couple tabs of acid and was in childlike wonderment
enjoying it while he thrashed away - seemingly pretty loose timing-
wise and that was of course half the fun. (Daltrey and Townsend were
both great too, although Daltrey doesn't seem to have the kind of
anything-goes reckless dangerous spirit of the others on stage, more
like just singing the songs and being a more or less normal front
man.) Anyway I've seen them a handful of times many years later and
by then, their show was an entirely more polished, professional, and
predictable affair, everything sounding pretty much just like the
record, but watching this movie really drives home how different
things were way back then!

lol, spoken like a sore loser. Well the matter of fact is most critics
out there rate Led Zeppelin albums better than The Who. Sorry, but the
who *lose* in both ****quality and quantity****.

Allmusic.com is the best example for that.
Led Zeppelin's first 6 albums are all 5 stars out of 5.
The Who have only 4 albums which get 5 out of 5 - My Generation, Who
Sell Out, Live at Leeds and Who's Next. And many would agree that give
5 stars for My Generation is highly debateable.

Of course, otherwise, they wouldn't be dissing on Led Zeppelin in
threads unrelated to them. Its a known fact that the Who thugs like to

Well, if I laugh hard enough then tears might come to my eyes, is that what
you mean? As I've said before, "Raja," I was enjoying Led Zep long before
you dropped screaming into the world, so your childish fanboi frenzy means
nothing to me beyond a cheap laugh or two.

Hey, "Raja," seriously, have you *ever* been laid in your whole life? Maybe
if you hit the singles bars, pick out a really drunk older woman and tell
her you're the keyboard player and lead singer for that hot new band Slushy
Machine, who knows, you might get lucky. Well, it's a long shot I know, but
it's worth a shot if keeps you from having to jerk off every night while
sobbing, "Hammer of the gods, hammer of the gods!"

Hmmm, the conversation turns to "Raja's" sex life and suddenly he needs to
"take rest"--is that suspicious as hell, or what?

Okay, time to get the pool going. Last time "Raja" said he was going away
for an extended time he reappeared in a few days, right? So place your bets
boys and girls, how long will "Raja" be gone this time? How many days until
he posts The Top Million Reasons Why Led Zeppelin Are GODS?

BTW, has anybody else noticed that when "Raja" gets upset his English is
even worse than usual?

If you liked that you should rent or buy the DVD. The Kilburn
performance is considered to be kind of under-rehearsed and and the
band isn't firing on all cylinders (but I like it anyway.) But the DVD
also includes an entire whole OTHER performance at the London Coliseum
in 1969. I guess Kilburn is the "A-side" because it's more slickly
produced, compared the the semi-bootleg video and sound quality of the
Coliseum show, but the latter is incredibly intense - the band is at
the height of their power.

Stairway to heaven ? Is that the song Led Zeppelin stole from Neil Sedaka ?

Did they ever do anything good that was original ?

Entwistle said he was so certain that performance was going to be a train
wreck that it was the only occasion when he was drunk when he walked out to
play. Townshend's explosions of temper are classic, however he and the rest
of the band pulled it together for the second half and came home ragged but
glorious.

Maybe the casual fan can skip it, but for hardcore fans It's very much worth
having. And unlike with some other band's releases of vintage video the
guitarist wasn't so insecure he had to overdub his mistakes decades after
the fact.

That's how you "take rest," by running away from just one thread? And how
come it's a thread were your virginity-for-life comes up?

Oh, two more things. First, it's "too high," not "to high". Second,
announcing you are leaving and then coming back to announce you are leaving,
again, marks you as a liar in addition to being a pussy.

Now go give your lifesize Jimmy Page doll a big hug, you'll feel better.

The first 'band' I was in back in high school featured a drummer who,
one fine day suggested we change the name of the band to "Led" and
start playing heavier music. I never went back.

Then why the hell would you care what it says? For all you know they chose
songs by coin-toss, so what makes it a "nice list" other than that you
approve of some of their choices?

This goes to the heart of why you're universally considered a musical
tourist, you're impressed by meaningless lists like this even when you don't
know how they determined their choices.

This sort of thing is a complete waste of time, yet you always fall for it.
When are you going to grow up and judge music by its merits rather than
arbitrary and pointless rubbish like this?
