LIST OF INITIATES
Their Rays and Stage of Evolution

The figures in brackets refer to the initiate’s exact point of
development attained during that life. The initiatory degree has been
omitted in the case of Avatars. Five figures follow the brackets; the
rays relate to the soul, personality, mental apparatus, astral vehicle
and physical body. Also listed are the dates of birth and death, and the
field of endeavour in which the initiate became known. However, the
limits of space available left no option. In a few cases, unfortunately,
it was impossible to find all the relevant data; such omissions are
denoted by a question mark. [Note: This list includes names which have
appeared in Share International magazine from January 1982 through
December 1996. See Maitreya’s Mission, Vol. III for a list containing
additional names through March 1997, as well as sub-rays and
nationalities of many of the names given below.]

You'd be pusing it to convince me that Isaac Asimov belongs on that list ...
wasn't he convicted of child molesting some 8 or so years ago?

I have no desire to convince anyone of anything. If one really wants to
begin to understand the complex and mysterious science of human
evolution, some reading and thought is required (links provided in the
initial post are recommended). It's easy to understand where you're
coming from, but it is also easy to see that you haven't read and
thought very much on the topic.

Initiates are rarely known for their mistakes. Mostly they are known for
their contributions. It is common for people to wonder about their own
PoE. Many people read a little and then over-rate themselves ie: fondly
imagining that they are 2 or 3 (or higher!) on the 1 to 5 scale.
Studying the list reveals that most people beyond 1.4 or so were very
gifted. Many of them were idolized by their fans. Those who fondly
imagine that they are at or beyond 1.5 would be helped to ask themselves
if their gifts to the world are on par with that of others listed with
the same or similar PoEs.

In other words having this information can help with the deglamorization
process.

Here are a few that were under 2.O

Marcus Aurelius 1.4
Foster Bailey 1.8
Alexander Graham Bell 1.75
Steve Biko 1.4
Caligula 1.2
Edgar Cayce 1.7
Miguel Cervantes 1.7
Charles Chaplin 1.6
Cicero 1.7
Bing Crosby 1.4
Salvador Dali 1.6
Thomas Edision 1.7
Duke Ellington 0.6
Federico Fellini 1.6
Ernest Hemingway 1.6
Jimi Hendrix 1.3
Henry VIII 1.6
Jimmy Hoffa 1.2
Franz Kafka 1.7
Jack Kerouac 1.35
John Lennon 1.6
Bob Marley 1.36
Malcom X 1.4
Claude Monet 1.9
George Patton 1.7
Elvis Presley 0.8

Hope that this is useful to someone.

As usual, some dogs must and will bark. To them, I turn a deaf ear.

;-)

Thank you. After spending some time trying to find my way around the web
site, could you please post the link for the full list, as I wasn't able to
find it.

On the contrary, I have thought a lot. Someone who vibrates to a higher
energy is not likely to indulge in activities of a lower nature,
surely.

Why are you so defensive, I'm not attacking you, that's not my intention,
I'm just here to learn like the rest.

Apparently you incorrectly assumed that the barking dogs comment was
directed towards you. It was not! I don't know what made you think that,
because i did not turn a deaf ear to you. Also, I don't know what made
you think i was being defensive, nor does it concern me. It's off-topic
anyway.

Who, then was it directed at? The Maitreya?

Dotty, your Creme cult nonsense is off topic.

It was posted in response to an email I sent.

You do *sound* defensive and angry, perhaps I'm wrong, but that's how you
come across. Isn't it rather misleading to post the likes of your message
to a ** discussion ** group and not follow it up with discussion. I'm
supposed to purchase a copy of Maitreya's Mission Volume III, by Benjamin
Creme to find out more............................ Now that's off topic.

Kind of kills discussion in the group really, doesn't it, which is a pity
because there are few people in everyday life with the same understanding of
things as we here, and the group should be used as a tool to discuss, not
push your wares if someone wants to know more.

You're pushing your Share International cult. SPAMming to non SHare

If that's the way you see it, then that is true for you. Maybe if you
look at the thread for this discussion on deja.com, you'll be able to
see it from a different angle, and note that i have replied, that i did
not post and then disappear.
