Hello,

Those of you in England may be interested to know that composer Raymond
Yiu and I have written an opera based on the life of magician Chung
Ling Soo (the American William Robinson).

The opera's London premiere is at the Almeida Theatre in Islington on
the 1st, 2nd and 7th of July. It would be great if magicians would
come to see it. About 70 per cent of seats are already sold, but you
can check availability on the Almeida's website - www.almedia.co.uk

If anyone from this group comes to see it, let me know - it would be
good to meet you.
Best,

Lee Warren

Sorry, I'm in Canada and with the price of petrol driving to England is
prohibitive.

Best of luck. Have a nice tib-fib break.

Is the Libretto available for reading?

Congratulations Lee:

I included a write-up and corrected the link to the theatre for Inside
Magic web site. Please keep us updated. I know our readers want to
know more!

I am trying to schedule business around the pleasure of getting to
London to see your show!

Whoops! The link is, of course, www.almeida.co.uk

Thanks to those of you who pointed it out!

Thank you. The libretto is technically finished, but won't be available
for reading until after the show, as we may make changes during
rehearsals. (Also, some of the libretto won't make much sense without
the music) I'm not sure yet what publishing arrangements will be made,
but if it is published electronically, I'll let you all know.

Thanks so much for your hard work, Tim. The composer was delighted - me
too! I'll keep you in touch with our progress, and do let me know if
you make it to London - remove the obvious spam block from my email.

Best,

Lee

...not to mention that great big pond that's in the way!
