Steelcase File cabinet.

I have the key in hand, this is not a cabinet that has been locked by
the keylock in the top drawer.

Used this cabinet for several days but when I closed the bottom drawer
this morning, I felt a 'click' and then all three of the drawers were
locked from this point. The key is in the unlocked position.

As you can imagine, I need this opened and am becoming fearful that
something is broken inside that may require drastic measures.

Please help.

I hate these problems.

I suspect that some interlock mechanism has gone out of whack. Some file
cabinets have access on the underside, some do not.

Your local locksmith probably has some tools that he can use to manipulate
the mechanism from the outside and help you get them open and back in
working order.

About the time I had mastered getting the toothpaste back in the tube, then
they come up with this striped stuff.
