Fab 40 is probably already being planned

The recently announced decision to upgrade Fab 30 to Fab 38, may not be
the end of it for AMD. There is enough room on the Dresden land to
build a 3rd full fab, which would probably likely be Fab 40 in 2010.

Fab 36 will be a full-capacity 300-mm fab. Fab 38 will likely be a
small-capacity 300-mm fab, producing maybe only half as much as Fab 36
can. Then Fab 40 would be another full-capacity fab. Part of the reason
that Fab 38 will be smaller capacity than the other two is because a
bump-and-test building will be built right into it which will serve the
other fabs too; this will reduce the amount of space available in Fab
38.
