OSWIECIM, Poland (JTA) -- Israel is prepared to fight a new Amalek 65
years after the liberation of Auschwitz, Israeli Prime Minister
Benjamin Netanyahu said at the former death camp.
At a ceremony Wednesday marking International Holocaust Remembrance
Day, Netanyahu said Auschwitz is a reminder that one must warn the
world of dangers while defending oneself.
"We will always remember what the Nazi Amalek did to us, and we won't
forget to be prepared for the new Amalek, who is making an appearance
on the stage of history and once again threatening to destroy the
Jews," he said. "We will not take this lightly and believe that these
are empty statements. We will not be calm as if threats and denial of
the Holocaust were just blank words. We will never forget and always
remember to stand guard."
The nation of Amalek has been Israel's nemesis since the Exodus from
Egypt. Nations that have tried to destroy Israel often are referred to
as descendants of Amalek.
International and Jewish leaders, Auschwitz survivors and Russian Red
Army veterans who liberated the camp joined Netanyahu in warning not
to forget what the Nazis perpetrated against humanity.
Polish President Lech Kaczynski and other Polish officials, the
president of the European Parliament and several Israeli lawmakers
were on hand for the ceremony.
It was one of several Holocaust Remembrance Day events held Wednesday
in Poland. Others included an international conference for ministers
of education at the concentration camp memorial site and the third
annual "Let My People Live" forum at the Krakow opera house sponsored
by the European Jewish Congress, the World Holocaust Forum and Yad
Vashem.
Several speakers warned specifically against ignoring the words of
Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, who has denied the Holocaust
and threatened Israel verbally.
Speaking at the "Let My People Live" forum, World Jewish Congress
President Ronald Lauder said Ahmadinejad's words are reminiscent of
Hitler's and that unless we take these threats seriously, "we will
have serious problems ahead."
Yad Vashem Chairman Rabbi Meir Lau, who survived Dachau and
Buchenwald, said at the forum that "Leaders of the world, 65 years
after the Holocaust, have to learn from my mother," who handed him to
an older brother in hopes of saving his life. He was 7 years old and
never again saw his mother.
"When there is a threat, danger of extinction of society, make a
decision," Lau said. "Be brave enough, determined enough. Don't
hesitate."

Another California Democrat Reveals Lack of Judgment by Accepting
Support of Hamas-Linked CAIR

Last month, I blogged about Ami Bera, a Democrat challenging an
incumbent in a California House district. I noted that Bera had
accepted financial support from a leader of the Council on American-
Islamic Relations - a group many Democrats have criticized for its
links to terrorist goups like Hamas. And I contended that his
decision to do so raised serious questions about his fitness for high
office.
In response to the concerns raised here - as well as by others in
California - Bera thought better of his decision to keep Basim
Elkarra's money - and returned the money.
Now comes news that another Democrat challenger - the one running
against 18-year Hill veteran Ken Calvert - is even cozier with the
(justifiably) very controversial group.
The Democrat in question is named Bill Hedrick. And he didn't just
accept a contribution from an individual involved in CAIR - he took
money from the organization's political action committee.
Subsequently, Hedrick even touted the endorsement on his web site.
Can Bill Hedrick really be so oblivious?
For his benefit, and the benefit of any other candidates unaware of
what such support means, let's review:
The government introduced evidence into judicial proceedings in the
U.S. vs. Holy Land Foundation case documenting CAIR’s links to Hamas.
Because of those links, the FBI severed ties with CAIR.
Liberal stalwart Senator Schumer (D-NY) characterized CAIR as an
organization “which we know has ties to terrorism” and “intimate links
with Hamas.”
His even more reliably liberal colleague Senator Durbin (D-IL)
described CAIR as “unusual in its extreme rhetoric and its
associations with groups that are suspect.”
And Hedrick's own Senator, Barbara Boxer, has strained to avoid the
appearance of accepting CAIR's support, awkwardly revoking a community
service award her office had bestowed on Mr. Elkarra after concerns
about the nature of the group employing him were brought to her
attention.
National Democrats had once hyped Hedrick's prospects. They labored
to portray his race as one of those in which they would be 'on
offense' even in an election cycle where the wind was not at their
backs.
But those hopes have apparently faded. Last week, the authoritative
Cook Political Report changed its rating of the race from "Likely
Republican" (has the potential to become competitive) to "Solid
Republican" (has no apparent prospect of becoming competitive).
Given the clear and striking absence of judgment Bill Hedrick has
shown by embracing CAIR, it is most reassuring to know that he has no
chance whatsoever of winning election to Congress.

Parshat Zachor
"Zachor Et Asher Asa Lecha Amalek BaDerech Betzetchem MiMitzrayim"
"Remember what Amalek did to you on your way out of Egypt! (Dvarim
25)"
On the Shabbat that precedes Purim, two Torah scrolls are taken from
the ark; one for the regular parsha and one for the Maftir - 'Remember
what Amalek did to you' (Dvarim 25). Because of this reading, it is
called, Shabbat Zachor (Remember). The Haftorah also deals with
Amalek.
There is a mitzvah in the Torah to remember Amalek and his descendants
and to orally recall their iniquity. We are to tell our children in
each generation what the people of Amalek did to us during our
departure from Egypt. This mitzvah will be fulfilled completely only
when we shall have caused Amalek's memory to perish, and their name to
be erased from the world, together with the slightest remnant of
anything that bears their name. As the Torah says: 'Remember what
Amalek did to you on the way, upon your departure from Egypt'... 'You
shall erase the memory of Amalek from beneath the heavens, you shall
not forget.' Upon which the Sages have expounded: 'Remember,' orally -
'You shall not forget,' in your heart.
To properly fulfill this commandment, the Sages have prescribed the
public reading of this passage from a Torah scroll, once every year,
on the Shabbat which precedes Purim - so that the 'wiping-out' of
Amalek might be adjacent to the 'wiping-out' of Haman, the latter
being a descendant of Amalek.
Although this passage is read yearly in the parsha of Ki Tetzeh (which
we read towards the end of the summer), we still must read this
passage separately in its prescribed time before Purim. This is done
in fulfillment of the Torah's commandment to remember the cowardly
attack of Amalek.
Some authorities say that if one fails to hear Parshat Zachor, he
fulfills his obligation through hearing the prescribed Torah reading
on Purim: ('And Amalek came').
A boy who is not yet of Bar-Mitzvah age should not be called to the
Torah for Maftir on Parshat Zachor. Nor should he read the parshah for
others. For since he is free of the obligation of mitzvot, he cannot
enable others to fulfill their obligation through him.

A review of a nation we are commanded to hate

Rav Kook in his “Midbar Shiur” teaches that the Jewish people have two
missions, one as a mamlechet kohanim (a kingdom of priests) and the
other as a goy kadosh (a holy nation). The first mission refers to the
aspiration to uplift the entire world to recognize G-d. The second
mission is designed for Israel to achieve its full spiritual
potential. One is universal in its goal and the second, parochial.
According to Rav Kook, Amalek’s goal was to negate and refute both
missions. G-d’s command for the total elimination of Amalek is couched
by the phrase, “macho emcheh,” a double expression indicating that
Amalek’s punishment is reflective of its two goals: targeting Israel’s
dual mission and thus preventing its fulfillment.
Amalek, on its own initiative, took upon itself to reject Israel’s
sacred mission. Unprovoked, Amalek acted as the classic bully,
attacking the Jews at their most vulnerable, thus earning our enmity
for eternity. The Amalek episode has come to us as a legacy from which
we learn. Thus, we have Shabbat Zachor this coming Shabbat, before the
feast of Purim. The historical underpinnings of this Amalek story are
the subject of this week’s essay.
Among the most learned studies on the topic is “Remember Amalek!,” a
book by Dr. Louis Feldman (Hebrew Union College Press, 2004). This
study of 272 pages encompasses the vast gamut of the study, not only
of the Amalek encounter, but also of the command by G-d to destroy
other people as part of a religious obligation. The motivating factors
are discussed, as are the religious and political forces that bring
forth what to the “modern” mindset would appear to be cruel and
primitive.
In his introduction, Dr. Feldman details the origins of Amalek, and
the precedents and parallels among the ancients that warranted such
actions. Cited among Jewish historians are the views of Philo and
Josephus. The contrasts between each are detailed and analyzed.
Motivations behind these differences are speculated upon and it is
ultimately left to the reader to decide on the “correct” version of
these early historians’ views of this tragic event.
In detailing Josephus’s account, Feldman relates the historian’s full
version of the importance of Amalek’s attack. The account of King
Saul’s failure to exterminate Amalek, which cost him his crown at the
word of the prophet Samuel, is brought into the literary fray. Also
enumerated is David’s campaign against Amalek and its implications in
the scheme of history.
At the center of the book is a scholarly yet brief chapter entitled,
“Amalek in Rabbinic Literature,” which brings the topic of its
relationship to Jewish religious observance into greater focus and
justification as a religious mandate.
Another interesting facet that Feldman treats with even greater depth
is a topic that has bedeviled the Jewish people through the ages, “The
Alleged Jewish Hatred of Gentiles.” This chapter provides powerful
historical insight concerning a canard that has cost the lives of
thousands of our people. The examples of events related by Feldman of
people whose racist behavior betrayed their prominent place in history
will surprise many.
The author concludes this study by placing the Amalek mandate into its
historic perspective by expounding upon other incidents in both
biblical and ancient history that parallel the command to wipe out
Amalek. First we are led through the entire flood episode and the
attempt by G-d to get humanity to repent. We have a justification for
the saving of Noach and his family. The tradition of the Noachian
Covenant and its implications are given their due, especially of G-d’s
expectation of its observance by all nations, including Amalek.
Other incidents are detailed as well, such as the revenge of the rape
of Dina, the annihilation of the nations of Sichon and Og, and the
extermination of the priests of Nob and the people of Jericho. The
book concludes with a detailed discussion of the action of Pinchas
Hacohen and the sages’ justification of his zealotry, a chapter that
warrants careful reading.
Each chapter in the book is completely footnoted, and the study
provides an index of citations, a complete and comprehensive
bibliography, and index.
Dr. Feldman has been a professor of classics and literature at Yeshiva
University for over 40 years. He has authored 11 books and over 160
articles. Currently, he is engaged in a groundbreaking project,
editing a publication entitled “The Lost Bible: Ancient Jewish
Writings Relating to Scripture.” He will be working with a team of two
other scholars, Dr. Lawrence Schiffman and Dr. James Kugel in an
enterprising effort at restoring Second Temple literature to its
original Jewish character and context.
Amalek, the historical prototype for the anti-Semite, has been
associated with the festival of Purim since its inception. With so
joyous, and yes, so riotous a holiday, it is indeed an irony that we
give pause on the Shabbat before Purim to ponder the role of the
Amalek legacy in both our history and its tragedies. What follows is
intended to continue that somber theme.
In concluding this essay, the following incident was brought to my
attention from Philip Goodman’s classic, “The Purim Anthology” (The
Jewish Publication Society).
“When Hitler was delivering one of his infamous speeches in a large
hall in Munich at the start of the Nazi ascent to power, he could not
help but notice that a man in the front row was making facial
contortions of derision and joy marked with an occasional outburst of
laughter. The man’s behavior resulted in bringing confusion to Hitler
midst his anti-Semitic invectives and causing annoyance to the Fuhrer.
When the speech was concluded, Hitler in great ire sent for the one
who disturbed him and indignantly inquired who he was.
‘I am a Jew,’ he said innocently.
‘Then you should be taking my address more seriously,’ warned Hitler.
‘Do you not believe that I will fulfill my threats to bring about the
destruction of the Jews?’
‘You should be aware,’ the Jew replied, ‘that you are not the first
anti-Semite who sought to destroy us. You may recall that the great
Pharaoh of Egypt sought to enslave the Jews. To commemorate his defeat
and our redemption, we eat tasty Matzos and observe the festival of
Passover. Haman was another enemy of ours who brought about his own
downfall. The delicious Hamantashen we eat and the jolly festival of
Purim recall our deliverance from him.
While listening to your venomous diatribe, I wondered what kind of
delicacy would the Jews invent and what kind of holiday they would
establish to celebrate your downfall.”
I looked back at this incident and pondered its innocence until I
gathered its full meaning and implication for us today. We survived
the plots of Haman and we celebrate, as we should. However, we have
yet to recover from the results of the plots of Hitler and we have yet
to have a holiday established to celebrate his demise.
This is the reason that makes the commandment of “Remember Amalek”
even more relevant today. Do not forget that for us, Amalek lives in
the atomic might of Iran, and we too will have to await the day to
celebrate the demise of that tyranny. The lesson of Purim is that the
struggle never ends.

importantly, with prayer.

The Ron Paul Campaign and its Neo-Nazi Supporters

When some in a crowd of anti-war activists meeting at Democrat
National Committee HQ in June, 2005 suggested Israel was behind the
9-11 attacks, DNC Chair Howard Dean was quick to get behind the
microphones and denounce them saying: "such statements are nothing but
vile, anti-Semitic rhetoric."
When KKK leader David Duke switched parties to run for Louisiana
governor as a Republican in 1991, then-President George H W Bush
responded sharply, saying, "When someone asserts the Holocaust never
took place, then I don't believe that person ever deserves one iota of
public trust. When someone has so recently endorsed Nazism, it is
inconceivable that someone can reasonably aspire to a leadership role
in a free society."
Ron Paul is different.
Rep Ron Paul (R-TX) is the only Republican candidate to demand
immediate withdrawal from Iraq and blame US policy for creating
Islamic terrorism. He has risen from obscurity and is beginning to
raise millions of dollars in campaign contributions. Paul has no
traction in the polls -- 7% of the vote in New Hampshire -- but he at
one point had more cash on hand than John McCain. And now he is
planning a $1.1 million New Hampshire media blitz just in time for the
primary.
Ron Paul set an internet campaigning record raising more than $4
million in small on-line donations in one day, on November 5, 2007.
But there are many questions about Paul's apparent unwillingness to
reject extremist groups' public participation in his campaign and
financial support of his November 5 "patriot money-bomb plot."
On October 26 nationally syndicated radio talk show host Michael
Medved posted an "Open Letter to Rep. Ron Paul" on TownHall.com. It
reads:
Dear Congressman Paul:
Your Presidential campaign has drawn the enthusiastic support of an
imposing collection of Neo-Nazis, White Supremacists, Holocaust
Deniers, 9/11 "Truthers" and other paranoid and discredited
conspiracists.
Do you welcome- or repudiate - the support of such factions?
More specifically, your columns have been featured for several years
in the American Free Press -a publication of the nation's leading
Holocaust Denier and anti-Semitic agitator, Willis Carto. His book
club even recommends works that glorify the Nazi SS, and glowingly
describe the "comforts and amenities" provided for inmates of
Auschwitz.
Have your columns appeared in the American Free Press with your
knowledge and approval?
As a Presidential candidate, will you now disassociate yourself,
clearly and publicly, from the poisonous propaganda promoted in such
publications?
As a guest on my syndicated radio show, you answered my questions
directly and fearlessly.
Will you now answer these pressing questions, and eliminate all
associations between your campaign and some of the most loathsome
fringe groups in American society?
Along with my listeners (and many of your own supporters), I eagerly
await your response.

Medved has received no official response from the Paul campaign.
There is more. The Texas-based Lone Star Times October 25 publicly
requested a response to questions about whether the Paul campaign
would repudiate and reject a $500 donation from white supremacist
Stormfront.org founder Don Black and end the Stormfront website
fundraising for Paul. The Times article lit up the conservative
blogosphere for the next week. Paul supporters packed internet
comment boards alternately denouncing or excusing the charges. Most
politicians are quick to distance themselves from such disreputable
donations when they are discovered. Not Paul.
Daniel Siederaski of the Jewish Telegraph Agency tried to get an
interview with Paul, calling him repeatedly but not receiving any
return calls. Wrote Siederaski November 9: "Ron Paul will take money
from Nazis. But he won’t take telephone calls from Jews." [Update]
Finally on November 13 the Paul campaign responded. In a short
interview JTA quotes Jim Perry, head of Jews for Paul describing his
work on the Paul campaign along side a self-described white
supremacist which Perry says he has reformed.
Racist ties exposed in the Times article go far beyond a single
donation. Just below links to information about the "BOK KKK Ohio
State Meeting", and the "BOK KKK Pennsylvania State Meeting",
Stormfront.org website announced: "Ron Paul for President" and
"Countdown to the 5th of November". The links take readers directly
to a Ron Paul fundraising site from which they can click into the
official Ron Paul 2008 donation page on the official campaign site.
Like many white supremacists, Stormfront has ties to white prison
gangs.
Finally on October 30 Paul's campaign came back with a non-response.
In a phone interview with the Lone Star Times, Ron Paul national
communications director Jesse Benton was non-committal about removing
the donations link from Stormfront.org. After a week of internet
controversy, the best Benton could come up with is:
"We hadn't thought of these options but I'll bring up these ideas with
the campaign director. Blocking the IP address sounds like a simple
and practical step that could be taken. I doubt there is anything we
can do legally. Tracking donations that came from Stormfront's site
sounds more complicated. I'm concerned about setting a precedent for
the campaign having to screen and vet everyone who makes a donation.
It is important to keep in mind is (sic) that we didn't solicit this
support, and we aren't interested in spending al of our time and
resources focused on this issue. We want to focus on Dr. Paul's
positive agenda for freedom."
Perhaps frustrated by the weasel words, Lone Star Times asked Benton:
"Bottom line- Will the Ron Paul campaign be rejecting the $500
contribution made by neo-Nazi Don Black?"
Benton's response:
"At this time, I cannot say that we will be rejecting Mr. Black's
contribution, but I will bring the matter to the attention of our
campaign director again, and expect some sort of decision to be made
in coming days."
On October 11 Stormfront Radio endorsed Ron Paul for President
saying:
"Whatever organization you belong to, remember first and foremost that
you're a white nationalist, then put aside your differences with one
another and work together. Work together to strive to get someone in
the Oval Office who agrees with much of what we want for our future.
Look at the man, look at the issues, look at our future. Vote for Ron
Paul, 2008."
As of November 11--the Ron Paul donation link is still up and active
on Stormfront. No IP address has been blocked. Stormfront's would-be
stormtroopers are still encouraged to contribute to Paul's campaign.
The white supremacists do more than raise funds. Blogger Adam Holland
reports:
"one of Rep. Paul's top internet organizers in Tennessee is a neo-Nazi
leader named Will Williams (aka ‘White Will'). Williams was the
southern coordinator for William Pierce's National Alliance Party, the
largest neo-Nazi party in the U.S."
Pierce is author of the racist "Turner Diaries". When the Lone Star
Times exposed the $500 Don Black donation, Williams responded on the
national Ron Paul meetup site,
"Must Dr. Paul capitulate to our Jewish masters' demands?"
The mild responses to Williams' MeetUp post make a sharp contrast to
the hatred and invective with which Paul supporters respond to Medved
or any other writer questioning Paul's refusal to disassociate himself
from his racist supporters. Any other campaign would presume
Williams' expression of anti-Semitism was a dirty trick by an opposing
campaign. Williams would have been hurriedly denounced and booted out
of the campaign. Not Ron Paul.
Williams has also organized at least one other discussion, "the Israel
factor revisited" on the national Ron Paul MeetUp site. Again the
measured tone of the remarks by Ron Paul supporters in the comments
section contrasts sharply with the invective Paul supporters rain down
upon bloggers who oppose him. Paul's campaign relies heavily on
MeetUp sites to organize. Over 61,000 Paul supporters are registered
on MeetUp as compared to 3,400 for Barack Obama, 1,000 for Hillary
Clinton, 1,800 for Dennis Kucinich and only a couple of dozen members
for most other candidates.
On the white-supremacist Vanguard News Network, Williams links to
Paul's "grassroots" fundraising site and organizes other racists to
"game You Tube" to advance a specific Ron Paul video to the top of You
Tube's rankings. Writes Williams, "Everybody here can do this, except
bjb w/his niggerberry." Holland points out, "BJB" stands for "burn
Jew burn". BJB's internet signature is, "Nothing says lovin' like a
Jew in the oven."
Williams is not Paul's only supremacist supporter. "Former" KKK
leader (and convicted fraudster) David Duke's website http://www.whitecivilrights.com/,
calls Ron Paul "our king" and cheers while "Ron Paul Hits a Home Run
on Jay Leno Show." Duke also includes a "Ron Paul campaign update"
and plugs Ron Paul fundraising efforts. These articles are posted
right next to articles such as "Ten reasons why the Holocaust is a
fraud" and "Germans Still Remember their Historical Greatness"-
featuring a map of Hitler's Third Reich at its 1942 military height,
just in case anybody doesn't get the point. Apparently "Dr. Paul's
positive agenda for freedom" is attractive to those who ape the
world's worst tyrants and genocidaires.
There are others. In a You Tube video circulating the internet, Ron
Paul is endorsed by Hutton Gibson, a leading Holocaust denier and
father of controversial actor and director Mel Gibson.
Ron Paul is supported by Patrick Buchanan, whose website carries
videos and articles such as: "Ron Paul epiphany" and "Ron Paul a new
hope." Buchanan has a long history of remarks some call anti-Semitic
(see link). Ron Unz, editor of Buchanan's American Conservative
magazine, is a Paul contributor and may have helped raise money from
Silicon Valley sources.
Ron Paul's American Free Press supporters run literally from one end
of the country to the other:
A Maine Ron Paul MeetUp activist who once ran for US Senate describes
himself as, "a 911 truth researcher & video documentarian, & a writer
for The Barnes Review." The Barnes Review is a Holocaust-denier
magazine founded by Willis Carto.
A Hawaii Ron Paul MeetUp organizer is pictured here pumping the Paul
campaign and selling copies of Willis Carto's American Free Press at a
farmers market.
There is more to the Paul campaign than racists. The mis-named 9-11
"truth" movement has also been a big source of Paul support. The
Detroit Free Press describes the scene as Republican Presidential
candidate Rudy Giuliani shared the ferry ride back from a Mackinac
Island Michigan Republican caucus September 21.
"According to one eyewitness, Giuliani was beset by dozens of Paul
enthusiasts as he was leaving the island, some of whom shouted taunts
about 9/11, including: ‘9/11 was an inside job' and ‘Rudy, Rudy, what
did you do with the gold?' -- an apparent reference to rumors about
$200 million in gold alleged to have disappeared in the collapse of
the World Trade Center towers. Ed Wyszynski, a longtime party
activist from Eagle, (MI) said the Paul supporters threatened to throw
Giuliani overboard and harassed him as he took shelter in the ferry's
pilothouse for the 15-minute journey back to Mackinaw City."
Paul campaign spokesman Jesse Benton told the Detroit Free Press "Ron
Paul does not think that 9/11 was an inside job." But the "truthers"
aren't fooled. Paul's committee paid 9-11 conspiracy nut and talk-
show host Alex Jones $1300. Jones claims the payment is a partial
refund after he over paid August 27 when giving Paul a $2300
contribution. Aaron Dykes of Alex Jones' company Magnolia Management
and Alex Jones' Infowars website gave Ron Paul $1600.
Jones has been pumping Paul's campaign on his nationally syndicated
radio show for months. Alex Jones got Paul's first radio interview
January 17 after announcing his Presidential campaign. LINK:

interview -- apparently Paul's fourth with Jones -- Paul thanks Jones
for his support saying: "You and the others have always said run, run,
run." Alex Jones' websites are piled with Ron Paul articles and
campaign paraphernalia for sale.
Other Paul donations and activists come from leftists and Muslims.
Singer and Democrat contributor Barry Manilow is also a Ron Paul
contributor and possibly a fundraiser. There are close ties (but no
endorsements) between Ron Paul's San Francisco Bay Area campaign and
Cindy Sheehan's long-shot Congressional campaign.
An Austin, TX MeetUp site shows Paul supporters also involved in
leftist groups such as Howard Dean's "Democracy for America." MeetUp
lists other sites popular with members of the Ron Paul national MeetUp
group. The number one choice is "9/11 questions" another leading
choice is "conspiracy."
MuslimVoterOnPaul.com chimes in writing:
"Brothers and Sisters, please vote for Ron Paul in the Republican
Primaries. It's our obligation to come together and try to stand up
for not only our best interests, but the best interests of the entire
Ummah."
A Ron Paul flyer directed at Muslims reads: "Who is Ron Paul and why
does the Jerusalem Post call him crazy?" A "Muslims for Paul" bumper
sticker puts the Islamic crescent in Paul's name.
The ugly mishmash of hate groups backing Paul has a Sheehan connection
as well. David Duke is a big Cindy Sheehan supporter eagerly
proclaiming "Cindy Sheehan is right" after Sheehan said, "My son
joined the Army to protect America, not Israel." Stormfront.org
members joined Sheehan at her protest campout in Crawford, TX and
posed with her for photos. Sheehan is also intimately associated with
the Lew Rockwell libertarian website which has posted over 200
articles by Ron Paul as well as some "scholarly" 9-11 conspiracy
theories.
The white supremacist American Nationalist Union also backed Sheehan's
Crawford protests and endorsed David Duke for president of the United
States in 1988. Now they are backing Ron Paul-linking to numerous Pro-
Paul articles posted on LewRockwell.com.
Medved's questions surprise many, but they shouldn't. Paul's links
the anti-Semites and white supremacists continue a trend which has
been developing since the 9-11 attacks. Barely six weeks after 9-11,
Paul was already busy blaming America. On October 27, 2001 Paul wrote
on LewRockwell.com, "Some sincere Americans have suggested that our
modern interventionist policy set the stage for the attacks of 9-11".
Paul complained: "often the ones who suggest how our policies may have
played a role in evoking the attacks are demonized as unpatriotic."
He says the US is "bombing Afghanistan" and is upset nobody is
interested in his solution:
"It is certainly disappointing that our congressional leaders and
administration have not considered using letters of marque and
reprisal as an additional tool to root out those who participated in
the 9-11 attacks."
Paul is quick to blame the victim when the issue is Islamist
violence. But when it comes to ordinary criminal violence, Paul once
blamed "95% of black males." During Paul's 1996 Congressional
campaign a Houston Chronicle article raised questions about a 1992
Ron Paul newsletter article. Under Ron Paul's name was written: "If
you have ever been robbed by a black teenaged male, you know how
unbelievably fleet-footed they can be.' Paul added: "I think we can
safely assume that 95 percent of the black males in that city
(Washington, D.C.) are semi-criminal or entirely criminal."
Texas Monthly later interviewed Paul. He claims:
"They were never my words, but I had some moral responsibility for
them . . . I actually really wanted to try to explain that it doesn't
come from me directly, but they campaign aides said that's too
confusing. 'It appeared in your letter and your name was on that
letter and therefore you have to live with it.'"
Adds Texas Monthly:
"It is a measure of his stubbornness, determination, and ultimately
his contrarian nature that, until this surprising volte-face in our
interview, he had never shared this secret. It seems, in retrospect,
that it would have been far, far easier to have told the truth at the
time."
Paul defenders often point to a December 24, 2002 Paul essay, "What
really divides us?" Wrote Paul,
"Racism is simply an ugly form of collectivism, the mindset that views
humans only as members of groups and never as individuals. Racists
believe that all individual who share superficial physical
characteristics are alike; as collectivists, racists think only in
terms of groups."
What his supporters don't often mention is that Paul deployed this
fine rhetoric only in defense of Sen. Trent Lott (R-MS). Lott was
pilloried in the press for his flattering words about the
segregationist 1948 Presidential run of South Carolina Senator Strom
Thurmond.
Responding to rioting in Los Angeles under the heading "Terrorist
Updates", Paul's 1992 article exposes a double standard. Substitute
the words "Islamist terrorism" for "riots" and try to imagine Paul
using this language:
"The cause of the riots is plain: barbarism. If the barbarians cannot
loot sufficiently through legal channels (i.e., the riots being the
welfare-state minus the middleman), they resort to illegal ones, to
terrorism. Trouble is, few seem willing to do anything to stop them.
The cops have been handcuffed. And property owners are not allowed to
defend themselves. The mayor of Los Angeles, for example, ordered the
Korean storekeepers who defended themselves arrested for "discharging
a firearm within city limits." Perhaps the most scandalous aspect of
the Los Angeles riots was the response by the mayors, the media, and
the Washington politicians. They all came together as one to excuse
the violence and to tell white America that it is guilty, although the
guilt can be assuaged by handing over more cash. It would be
reactionary, racist, and fascist, said the media, to have less welfare
or tougher law enforcement. America's number one need is an unlimited
white checking account for underclass blacks.
"Rather than helping, all this will ensure that guerrilla violence
will escalate. There will be more occasional eruptions such as we saw
in Los Angeles, but just as terrifying are the daily muggings,
robberies, burglaries, rapes, and killings that make our cities terror
zones."
If one forgets the implication that the US treasury is a "white
checking account" or the suggestion that all "underclass blacks" are
thugs, it seems that Paul believes that appeasing street criminals
"will ensure that guerrilla violence will escalate." But when it
comes to the Islamist terror, Paul's message, now the theme of his
Presidential campaign is: "our policies may have played a role in
evoking the attacks."
The double standard raises questions. Paul's real motivation for
appeasing Islamists may be underlined in quotes from a May 24, 1996
Congress Daily article:
"Stating that lobbying groups who seek special favors and handouts are
evil, Paul wrote, ‘By far the most powerful lobby in Washington of the
bad sort is the Israeli government' and that the goal of the Zionist
movement is to stifle criticism."
"Ron Paul-America's Last Chance", a January, 2007 article by Ted Lang
on the anti-Semitic site Rense.com, makes a familiar argument for
supporting Paul. Lang claims,
"Dr. Paul's best credentials are those identifying him as a true
libertarian, meaning a ‘classical liberal' of the anti-Federalist
genre of libertarians that helped found this country, true liberals
such as Thomas Jefferson, Patrick Henry and Samuel Adams...."
Paul himself writing on antiwar.com says:
"Thomas Jefferson spoke for the founders and all our early presidents
when he stated: ‘peace, commerce, and honest friendship with all
nations, entangling alliances with none...' which is, ‘one of the
essential principles of our government'. The question is: Whatever
happened to this principle and should it be restored?"
Perhaps Paul forgets America's 1801-05 war with the Islamic terrorists
known as the Barbary Pirates? Paul's interpretation of American
history is false. This writer explained in "The Colonial War against
Islam":
"In 1786, Thomas Jefferson, then U.S. ambassador to France, and John
Adams, then American Ambassador to Britain, met in London with Sidi
Haji Abdul Rahman Adja, the Dey's ambassador to Britain, in an attempt
to negotiate a peace treaty based on Congress' vote of funding. To
Congress, these two future presidents later reported the reasons for
the Muslims' hostility towards America, a nation with which they had
no previous contacts.
"‘...that it was founded on the Laws of their Prophet, that it was
written in their Koran, that all nations who should not have
acknowledged their authority were sinners, that it was their right and
duty to make war upon them wherever they could be found, and to make
slaves of all they could take as Prisoners, and that every Musselman
(Muslim) who should be slain in Battle was sure to go to Paradise.'"
Apparently Paul chooses to remember only the parts of American history
which benefit his arguments. As part of the War on Terror Paul wants
the US to abandon, the US Navy is on duty fighting Islamic pirates off
the coast of Somalia, in the Persian Gulf, and Southeast Asia.
In spite of official silence from the Paul Campaign, hordes of Paul
supporters lit up the comments section of Michael Medved's open letter
on TownHall.com. In a phenomenon familiar to any blogger who posts
information negative to Paul, the 500-plus comments include several
which indicate that Medved has got Paul's supporters dead to rights:
"Your own Zionism is slipping, Medved! Why should anyone disassociate
from 9/11 Truthers?"
"I suggest you take off the tin-foil yamika (sic), your brain is
fried."
"You will do anything to smear this good man to try and safeguard US
policy in Israel."
"Hey Medved. Tell your AIPAC handlers to be nervous. You are failing
miserably."
"It's patently obvious why you don't support Dr. Paul: He's not hand-
picked by AIPAC and the Likud Party."
Over at Liberty Post, a self-described "Christian Zionist" identifying
himself as ‘David Ben-Ariel' adds this response:
"If discredited and paranoid Michael Medved is so concerned about it,
let him actually follow his Judaism to the Jewish Homeland of Israel
and take the treacherous ACLU and its liberal ilk, and every other
self-hating, defeatist, godless group and loathsome organization with
him. What's he got to lose, especially if he fails to believe the
Israeli oligarchy is under German-Jesuit control and guilty of
murdering Yitzhak Rabin? ... I'm voting for Ron Paul."
Besides the Paul backers whose words seem to provide backing to
Medved's case, others complain that it is wrong to question the
sources of Paul's support. Writing on the "Daily Paul", Mike
Bergmaier complains it is "unfair" for Medved to demand Paul renounce
the support of anti-Semites, white supremacists, and neo-Nazis.
Really? Why?
Lew Rockwell attempts to respond to Medved's question by echoing
leftist themes equating Nazis with mainstream conservatives. Rockwell
argues Medved should renounce Cheney and Bush. In a weak effort at
verbal judo, Rockwell calls Medved's letter a "neocon libel."
Rockwell continues:
"Mr. Medved, will you repudiate belligerent nationalists, drooling
torturers, scheming warmongers, redistributing pressure groups,
foreign aid thieves... (etc)"
and then without even pausing to catch his breath accuses Medved of
practicing "guilt by association."
Perhaps Rockwell hopes weak-minded readers will not notice that
associating Medved with "drooling torturers" is itself "guilt by
association." No "drooling torturers" have been identified among
Medved's financial backers but actual neo-Nazis have been identified
by name amongst Paul's. Is this what passes for scholarship at the
Ludwig von Mises Institute headed by Rockwell? Judging from many of
the comments Paul supporters have flooded the internet with, it
apparently is good enough for them.
Meanwhile, elsewhere on the Daily Paul, Paul's "fair" supporters are
organizing to call radio stations and demand they yank Medved's show,
thus demonstrating that censorship is a Libertarian value.
Neither Paul nor his campaign has officially responded to the
questions raised by Medved. But then perhaps these types of comments
are the official response.
Paul supporters complain endlessly that the "mainstream media" is
censoring or ignoring their candidate. They should be careful what
they ask for. If Paul wants to be taken seriously, he must stop
cowering behind the internet and face these questions. Until then it
is only reasonable to presume that Paul is happy to wallow in well-
financed obscurity accepting the support of some of the worst enemies
of freedom and liberty within American society

the Republican primary in Kentucky for US Senate. His father, Ron

U.S. Senator Kirsten Gillibrand easily won her primary race against
challenger Gail Goode. Gillibrand, who was appointed to the U.S.
Senate by Governor David Paterson after former Senator Hillary Clinton
was named Secretary of State, will now face Republican Joe DioGuardi
in the November election. DioGuardi won a three-way Republican primary
on Tuesday night against David Malpass and Bruce Blakeman.

RJC Releases "Hagel Hearts Sestak" Ad

Washington, D.C. (September 7, 2010) -- The Republican Jewish
Coalition (RJC) today released an internet ad entitled, "Hagel Hearts
Sestak" which highlights the recent troubling endorsement of Democrat
Joe Sestak for U.S. Senate (PA) by former Nebraska Senator Chuck
Hagel.
While in the Senate, Chuck Hagel had a troubling record on Israel and
Middle East issues. In fact, he consistently had one of the worst pro-
Israel records of any Senator. Even the National Jewish Democratic
Council described Hagel's record as "questionable" and warned that if
he sought the presidency, he would have "a lot of questions to answer
about his commitment to Israel."
The Washington Jewish Week quotes Morris Amitay, a former executive
director of the American Israel Public Affairs Committee, as saying of
Hagel, "I would regard him as the bottom of the class as far as Israel
goes."
RJC Executive Director Matt Brooks said, "Chuck Hagel and Joe Sestak
have a lot in common. In fact, it was recently reported that in an
interview, Joe Sestak called Chuck Hagel 'the guy that I most admired
in the Senate.' Unfortunately, they share an attitude and record
toward Israel that cause deep concern in the Jewish community. We will
continue to provide the Jewish community in Pennsylvania and elsewhere
with the facts about Joe Sestak and his record."

Deja Coup All Over Again
Those Who Do Not Remember the Mistakes of The
Past are condemned to relive them, or words to that effect….
The September 14th, 2010 Republican Primary Elections in New York
State now see a Tea Party backed Candidate on the Republican Line for
Governor and another Republican, defeated 2000 US Senate Candidate
Lazio, on the Conservative Party Line, while astonishingly Joe
DioGuardi has been nominated in the Republican Party for the US
Senate.
A lot of this brings back memories from years ago, described in the
material below which has been excerpted from a post titled
The Other Rudy Hillary Race
You may remember it as the one that almost happened. The year was
2000, the place New York State, the campaign, one for the seat in
the US Senate from New York that was up that year.
Everyone believed that New York City Mayor Rudy Guiliani would face
Hillary Rodham Clinton in the campaign for that seat in the US
Senate from New York.
But things changed. A bout with prostate cancer forced "pro-choice"
Rudy to bow out of the US Senate race. Rudy was replaced with
a "pro-life" Republican named Lazio who lost to Hillary in the
general election. Many believe Lazio's poor debate performance cost
him the race and that Rudy would have prevailed over Hillary in the
debates and gone on to win the election if he could have gotten the
Conservative Party nomination.
In New York State votes from third parties may be combined with
votes from major parties to determine who the winner is. Thus a
Republican Party nominee who is also the nominee of the Conservative
Party would have the votes combined to determine if that nominee is
the winner of the general election.
Many questions from the 2000 campaign linger on to this day. Was the
1999 Kosovo War, which saw Kosovo stolen from Eastern Orthodox
Christian Serbia, and handed over to Albanian Moslems, a payment in
advance for the would be third party candidacy of "pro-life"
Albanian American Joe DioGuardi, who would have run on the
Conservative Party line in New York State, splitting the votes that
would otherwise have gone to the Republican nominee for US Senate
had the Conservative Party nominated the Republican nominee?
The idea that a young "white" radical New
Haven Connecticut Yale Law student named Hillary Rodham might have
been involved in the torture and murder of a young African-American
man, who is believed to have been tortured and murdered in Maryland,
and, or in the disposal of that young African-American man's body
some 40 miles north of Yale in Connecticut, and or in the defense of
that young African-American man's accused torturer and murderer
would clearly produce a highly negative reaction among African-
American voters towards Hillary Rodham Clinton.
We can recall the 2006 race in which Hillary poured big bucks into
the Webb campaign for US Senate in Virginia to sink her likely 2008
rival Republican Senator George Allen.
The news that Allen's mother was Jewish, even though Allen was
raised as a Christian may well have cost Allen his seat in the
Senate in that tight US Senate race in Virginia in 2006.
Moreover Webb had run what some may have seen as a test campaign of
anti-Semitism against Harris Miller, his opponent in the primary for
the nomination for US Senate.
Let Us Punish Anti Semitism Not Reward It

Former Reagan Navy Secretary and now Democratic Senate hopeful from
Virginia James Webb is being accused of anti-Semitism for a flier
produced against his opponent Harris Miller.

Senate candidate James H. Webb, President Reagan's former Navy
secretary, was criticized by his Jewish opponent Friday over a
campaign flier that depicted the opponent with a hooked nose and
cash spilling from his pockets. The flier was intended for
distribution among labor groups. It was titled "Miller the Job
Killer," referring to Webb's opponent for the Democratic nomination
in Tuesday's primary, businessman Harris Miller.
The flier, drawn in comic-book cartoon style, depicts Miller with a
grotesquely hooked nose and cash overflowing from his suit pockets
as he orders an underling to find ways to export U.S. jobs overseas.
The flier refers to Miller as the "anti-Christ of outsourcing. "
Miller called it "despicable. " "One of the things I hoped we would
keep out of this campaign, because it has nothing to do with the
campaign, is my religion and my background," Miller said."

The anti-Semitic campaign waged against Democrat Harris Miller,
Webb's Jewish opponent in the Virginia Senatorial Primary, was only
a warm up for the anti-Semitic campaign waged against Webb's
opponent in the general election, Republican Senator George Allen,
whose mother is Jewish. Chances are good that the anti-Semitic flyer
against Harris Miller described above would have landed Webb in jail
in Europe, where there are laws against such things. Europe, after
all, knows that hate speech leads to action. Hitler's Mein Kampf led
to The Holocaust. In America it got Webb the nomination of his party
for the US Senate.

Webb benefited from the anti-Semitic
attacks launched against Senator Allen. Please help to expose those

Politics and Bedfellows An Age Old Story Told Once Again
We do not know what to make of the gossip being circulated about
Hillary Rodham Clinton

Though the name Arthur Turco is known to few Americans today, if the
allegations
about his romantic and political relationship with Hillary Rodham
Clinton in
1969 when Hillary was at Yale turn out to be true Arthur Turco's
name might
become as much a household word as Monica Lewinsky's name was in the
late 1990s.
Unlike Monica Lewinsky however, Arthur Turco in 1969 was no starry
eyed 20
something intern being S-xually used and abused by the most charming
President
of the United States ever to hold that office.
Gerald Lefcourt, David Brothers, Abbie Hofmann, Dave Dellinger,
William
Kunstler, Jerry Rubin, and Arthur Turco can be seen at a Black

Arthur Turco was the New York City based leader of a weird white
group called
THE PATRIOTS in 1969. THE PATRIOTS were allied with THE BLACK
PANTHERS and a
Puerto Rican group called THE YOUNG LORDS in something called THE
RAINBOW
COALITION. This was a different group from the Jesse Jackson related
Rainbow
Coalition group.
THE PATRIOTS operated relatively openly from an office in far uptown
Manhattan
but reputedly also used one or more covert "Safe House" style
apartments in the
CHELSEA section of Manhattan. Some of those "Safe House" style
apartments were
allegedly fortress like places,allegedly filled with heavy weapons
including
explosives, as well as handguns, and automatic weapons.

The article states that : "Caplan says he believes that the
Panthers' New York
lawyer, Arthur Turco, was the ringleader in the commission of this
crime. "He
was apparently in the house when the torture and the murder took
place and was
part of the conspiracy to kill and remove the body,"
Below is an example of a post which dates back to the Bill Clinton
era we found
describing some of the story.
"Back in 1969 a group of Black Panthers decided that a fellow black
named Alex Rackley needed to die. Rackley was a fellow Panther
suspected of
disloyalty. Rackley was first tied to a chair. Once safely
immobilized
his'friends' tortured him for hours by, among other things, pouring
boiling water
on him. When they
got tired of torturing Rackley, Black Panther member Warren Kimbo
took Mr.Rackley outside and put a bullet in his head. Rackley's body
was later
found floating in a river about 25 miles north of New Haven, Conn.
Perhaps at this point you're curious as to what happened to these
Black Panthers. In 1977, that's only eight years later, only one of
the killers
was still in jail. The shooter, Warren Kimbro, managed to get a
scholarship to
Harvard. He later became an assistant dean at Eastern Connecticut
State College.
Isn't that something? As a `60s radical you can pump a bullet into
someone's
head,and a few years later, in the same state, you can become an
assistant college dean! Only in America! Erica Huggins was the lady
who served
the Panthers by boiling the water for Mr.
Rackley's torture. Some years later Ms. Huggins was elected to a
California School Board.
How in the world do you think these killers got off so
easy? Maybe it was in some part due to the efforts of two people who
came to the
defense of the Panthers. These two people actually went so far as to
shut down
Yale University with demonstrations in defense of the accused Black
Panthers
during their trial. One of these people was none other than Bill Lan
Lee. Mr.
Lee, or
Mr. Lan Lee, as the case may be, isn't a college dean. He isn't a
member of a California School Board. He is now head of the U.S.
Justice
Department's Civil Rights Division.
O.K., so who was the other Panther defender?
Is this other notable Panther defender now a school board member? Is

concerning the

but another

A relatively covert alliance also existed between THE PATRIOTS and

The 22nd Amendment to the US Constitution limits Presidential terms
of office to
2 terms. Bill Clinton was elected to those 2 terms and served them.

elected to the US Senate from New York State. He left office on

Many observers viewed the 2000 US Senate race in which she was
elected from New
York State as a stepping stone to the White House for Hillary Rodham

of the New York State Republican Party to be augmented by the

Winning statewide without BOTH nominations is not an easy thing for

were shot into anti-tank ditches. A 1986 federal appeals court upheld
his deportation order, ruling that the evidence against the defendant
was "overwhelming and largely uncontroverted. " Summarily rejecting
the
court's findings because evidence had been obtained from the Soviet
Union, Buchanan orchestrated a national media effort to exonerate
Linnas, demanding that his citizenship be reinstated. He championed
the Linnas cause in his syndicated newspaper column and TV program
"Crossfire," and arranged for then U.S. Attorney General Edwin Meese
III to meet with him and members of Eastern European organizations

hailed Linnas as a hero. On March 31, l987, Menachem Rosensaft,
founder of the International Network of Children of Holocaust
Survivors, wrote a New York Times Op-Ed piece calling for a
congressional investigation to determine whether any American
official
or functionary had intervened on Mr. Linnas's behalf. Buchanan
responded by saying it was the Office of Special Investigations that
needed to be investigated. "Let us get it all out in the open," he
wrote, "nothing un-American can live in the sunlight." Attorney
General Meese delayed the deportation of Linnas as long as possible,
all the while searching for a haven. After sixteen countries had
refused, Panama agreed to accept Linnas "on humanitarian grounds."
News of the decision prompted Rosensaft and others to intercede with
Panamanian officials in Washington, who told them that their
government had not been informed of Linnas's wartime atrocities.
Panama withdrew its offer and issued a statement saying that "our
country and our Government reject and condemn the crimes committed by
fascists." On April 20, 1987, the U.S. Supreme Court refused to hear
a final appeal. At that point Meese was legally bound to comply with
the deportation order. Linnas was flown to the Soviet Union and three
months later died in a prison hospital while awaiting trial."

The Strategic Issues Research Institute Hack and I, along with a
select group of others, have been at war with the KLA over its heroin
and terrorist connections. We also knew something about how political
money bought this war policy. Here's the story. Back in 1995, late in
the Bosnian war, I got a reference to a 1986 Senate Resolution
proposed by Senator Bob Dole of Kansas, decrying Yugoslavian official
oppression of the Albanian population of Kosovo-that' s 1986, when the
Albanian Autonomous government was still fully operational. Joseph
DioGuardi, a New York Republican, sponsored the companion House
Resolution, both of which never emerged from committee. I got a copy
of that Senate Resolution Nr. 150 from the Congressional Register of
June 19, 1986 and then let it sit in my file for a long time, while
the NATO occupation of Bosnia appeared to keep things calm.
Meanwhile, Bob Dole managed to lose the 1996 Presidential Election,
then vigorously supported Mr. Clinton's year-by-year extensions for
keeping some 6900 US soldiers in Bosnia.
As the KLA insurrection in
Kosovo reached civil war levels, I began to think about that
resolution and how it misrepresented history. I had done considerable
reading on the origins of the Yugoslav conflicts, pulling Washington
Post, New York Times and other reports from the 1980s, bearing on
Kosovo and the collapse of the Federative Republic's communist
government under the pressure of ethnic-nationalism.
Well, pieces fit together showing that all along it has been the
ethnic
nationalist fascist losers of World War II in Croatia, Bosnia and
Kosovo who
have been exploiting the political process in Germany and the United
States.
Their goal has been to effect the division of Yugoslavia and the
cleansing of
Serbian populations from their territories, while purporting
that "Greater
Serbia" was the menace to European security and not the post-
fascist "Greater
Croatia" and "Greater Albania."
Survivors of the Croat Ustashe movement in southern Germany began
their work in the 1960s, but Joseph DioGuardi must be given credit
for a sustained campaign to influence Congress beginning in the
mid-1970s. DioGuardi, an Albanian American whose ancestors came from
an Albanian transplant community in the heel of Italy, sat in
Congress for several years in the mid-1980s as a Conservative
Republican from New York's Westchester County, but creating a
Greater Albania was his agenda as a map on his website shows
(www.aapac.com) .
"His Political Action
Committee (PAC) activities are easy to follow from 1988 on. What
makes the PAC and individual contributions to campaigns more
interesting is the demonstrated connection between the Kosovo Heroin
Mafia, its "pizza connection" distribution ("inherited" from the
Gambino crime family) and money-laundering networks, and the number
of pizzaria owner-contributors listed in DioGuardi's filings. The
Croats and Albanians came up with big pots of laundered money, then
spread it around selectively, with American politicians helping to
persuade other members in Congress.
I have indications of a political alliance between DioGuardi and Bob
Dole going as far back as the early 1970s, but have not yet got all
the evidence in hand. What I do have is sufficient to reach
tentative conclusions about how foreign policy, in a democracy, can
be "bought"-that is precisely what happened in the case of the
Kosovo Air War. In early 1987, kicking off his 1988 bid to wrest the
GOP nomination from then-vice president George Bush, Dole received
$1.2 million from Albanian American supporters in New York City,
while DioGuardi received $50,000 at the same dinner.
I expect the funding trail goes back further, at least to Dole's 1976
campaign.It certainly continued from 1987 through to the present.
As the collapse of Yugoslavia loomed, the Croatian and Albanian
lobbies continued their campaign:
Defense & Foreign Affairs Strategic Policy, Mar 31, 1993 issue,
reported as much as $50 million was larded around Capitol Hill in a
two-year period which saw the defeat of George Bush and led to Bob
Dole's control of the Republican party: The United States Congress,
still reeling from a series of financial scandals involving
representatives and senators, is now bracing for a new problem: the
massive financial "contributions" which have been made to election
funds of politicians by Croatian sources over the past two to three
years.
One Congressional investigator told Defense & Foreign Affairs
Strategic Policy that the donations and expenditures on Washington
lobbying by the Croatians over the past two years "could well exceed
$50-million. "
"Much of this came directly from Croatian lobbyists,
and some from Croatian American businessmen "Many of the campaign
contributions have been recorded legally," the investigator said,
"but many are questionable. But what is more important is that there
has been a pervasive attempt to push the United States along a line
defined by foreign powers-Croatia and Germany-and it has not been
subtle. Elected officials are being told to either support the
Croatian line or face either a removal of funding or are told that
funding will be given to their opponents. Or they are literally
bribed into supporting the Croatian line.
This was going on long before Croatia even made its open bid for
recognition as an independent state." Now, as to individual
contributions, there are campaign contribution limits on
individuals, then there are Political Action Committees
(PACs), "Soft Money" contributed to the parties and fed back to
candidates, and there is the time-honored
custom of passing bundles of hundred dollar bills in brown paper
bags to favored candidates. Federal Election Commission (FEC)
records are on-line (http://www.tray. com/fecinfo/)
and I have been able retrieve records for Joseph DioGuardi's PACs
going back to the 1988 election cycle, and have also tested Bob
Dole's 1996 Campaign and Liddy Dole's Campaign-2000.
It is all there in the lists of candidates and contributors. In
particular, most of the Congressmen speaking loudest against Serbia
and Serbs are those receiving money from DioGuardi's PAC. Some have
simply been beguiled,others may be more disingenuous.
Recipients come from both sides of the aisle but are mostly members
of the House or Senate foreign relations
committees.. .These records do not reveal monster sums of money, but
demonstrate the tip of the iceberg, where "soft money," individual
declared contributions and bags full of $100 bills also find their
way to select candidates.
It is clear that Bob Dole and Joe DioGuardi, in league with Croat
and Bosnian fascist emigrees, worked very effectively to set up US
foreign policy to dismantle Yugoslavia and ruin the Serb people.
They have succeeded admirably because they were organized and
persistent, while their opponents were disorganized and, ultimately,
outnumbered by the overwhelming flood of media propaganda.
Now, the US taxpayer is on the hook for Billions of Dollars, while
our service
personnel will be tied down for years in Bosnia and Kosovo,again
attempting the
kind of nation building that failed so
spectacularly in Somalia and Haiti. For those wishing to inspect the

CLEVELAND, Ohio (CNN) -- A jury found flamboyant U.S. Rep. James
Traficant
guilty of bribery and all other charges against him Thursday after a
two-month
federal racketeering and corruption trial.
The jury of 10 women and two men convicted the congressman on all
counts against
him, covering charges of taking bribes, filing false tax returns,
racketeering,
and forcing his aides to perform chores at his farm in Ohio and on
his houseboat
in Washington.
The verdict followed four days of deliberations. The nine-term
maverick Democrat
represented himself in court throughout the trial, even though he is
not an
attorney....
House Minority Leader Dick Gephardt, D-Missouri, issued a statement
saying a
member of Congress who breaks the law and commits bribery "strikes
at the heart
of representative government." He advised Traficant to step down
from office.
"In light of the gravity of the charges outlined in the guilty
verdict against
Mr. Traficant, I think the prudent course of action would be an
immediate
resignation, " Gephardt said. …
In 1983, while a county sheriff, Traficant was brought up on federal
bribery
charges. During that trial, he also represented himself. That time,
however, he
was acquitted.
The trial was marked by periodic outbursts by Traficant, who railed
against
prosecutors and Wells.
Prosecutors accused him of accepting gifts and favors from several
businessmen
in his district, including a convicted felon, in return for
interceding on their
behalf with federal and state agencies.
He also was accused of using employees from his office to perform
work on his
farm and boat and requiring them to return a portion of their
salaries to him
each month. The government alleged that staffers baled hay,
maintained horse
stalls and performed other chores at Traficant's farm.
Other charges accused him of underreporting income on his tax
returns and asking
employees to destroy evidence and provide false testimony after he
became aware
he was being investigated. "

Less than week after being expelled from the U.S. House of
Representatives,

At his sentencing hearing, Traficant argued that his expulsion from
Congress had
been punishment enough. Judge Lesley Wells of the U.S. District
Court in
Cleveland, disagreed, calling Traficant's expulsion a separate
political matter.
Judge Wells refused to set bail for Traficant, ordering that service
of his term
should begin immediately. Denial of bail also sets aside all pending
appeals to

"There were groups that were pretty scary, but if someone had
the money, he'd find a way to help them," a former aide says. As both
congressman and senator, Torricelli has championed the cause of a
revolutionary Iranian group, the Mujahedin-e Khalq (MEK), identified
by the U.S. State Department as a terrorist organization. Many
Iranian-born MEK sympathizers have given Torricelli money ($136,000,
according to one estimate), including $1,000 from Canada's chief MEK
organizer, who wrote her check to Torricelli from her new home in
Washington a week after an Ottawa court upheld her deportation,
according to The American Spectator. Torricelli, in turn, sponsored
several resolutions and letters supporting the group as a "democratic
alternative" to the Muslim fundamentalist regime and protesting U.S.
sanctions against it-the Mujahedin advocacy group in America, the
National Council of Resistance, was labeled an "alias for the MEK" by
the State Department and barred from receiving any funds to operate
on
U.S. soil. The State Department is on solid ground. Although it
portrays itself as a democratic grass-roots opposition, the MEK
killed
U.S. military attachés in the 1970s and called for restrictions on
Jewish businesses; its military wing is based in armed camps in Iraq,
backed by Saddam Hussein. In the past two years, it has openly
claimed
credit for the killing of three high-ranking members of the Iranian
government, according to congressional testimony by then-Assistant
Secretary of State Martin Indyk. Fears about Iranian terrorist-linked
donors even led Torricelli's staff to joke among themselves about who
would go outside to "start the car to see if it blows up," a source
recalls.- Torricelli has also managed to appeal to organizations with
virulent anti-Semitic positions. In 1993, for instance, he was the
keynote speaker at a banquet co-sponsored by the United Association
for Studies and Research (UASR), an organization identified by
anti-terrorism experts and Israeli intelligence officials as the
political front for the Hamas terrorist group. Torricelli sat on the
dais next to Ahmed Bin Yousef, the head of UASR, who champions the
Hamas cause. When attacked for his appearance at the banquet during
his Senate campaign, Torricelli claimed in a news conference that he
didn't know that the UASR was a sponsor or that it was tied to Hamas.
Apparently he missed the front-page story in The New York Times
several months earlier that exposed its alleged terrorist
connections.
Torricelli is endlessly creative in trolling for support from ethnic
communities. He founded a congressional Pakistani caucus and told a
dinner hosted by a Pakistani-American PAC in 1996 exactly what they
wanted to hear: "Pakistan cannot be intimidated into accepting
nuclear
nonproliferation as was attempted by the U.S. Congress."

fund-raiser Wednesday night for Sen. Robert Torricelli that raised
$2.15 million

A spokesman said the $2.15 million that the $1,000-a-plate dinner
brought in was
the most ever raised in a single night for a member of Congress. The
fund-raiser
far exceeded earlier expectations of $1.2 million.

Senate impeachment trial. In his speech, Clinton praised the

been my friend in good times and bad and I will never forget it."

Cloyes proposed the first Congressional hearing on the Albanian
dimension of the
Balkan conflict. Following the hearing in February 1995, which
included
representatives from
all the Albanian lands in the former Yugoslavia, she and Civic
League President
Joseph DioGuardi traveled with Yugoslav dissident Mihaljo Mihaljov
to Macedonia
at the invitation of Albanian leaders there to monitor the reopening
of the
Albanian-language University of Tetova. The Macedonian government
attacked the
university on the morning of their departure, killing a student,
wounding
hundreds, and jailing the professors. In September of that year, she
traveled to
Tirana with DioGuardi and Congressman Benjamin Gilman, chair of the
House
Committee on International
Relations, to meet with then President Sali Berisha and to Istanbul
to make the
case for the
the independence of Kosova at the National Press center and at the
University of
Marmara.
Cloyes has testified before Congress at two historic turning points
in the life
of the Albanian nation. In July 1996, she testified on behalf of the
State of
Albania before the House Committee on International Relations and
exposed the
role of Nicholas Gage of the Panepirotic Federation and the Albanian
Communists
in attempting to overthrow the democratically elected government of
Sali
Berisha. In 1998, she testified in support of U.S. troop deployment
in Kosova,
following Bob Dole, Jean Kirkpatrick, and Henry Kissinger.
In February 1998, after the Serbian army attacked Drenice, Cloyes
worked with
CNN to gain more complete coverage of the crisis in Kosova. In
March, she and
DioGuardi shifted the focus of a Congressional hearing with U.S.
Balkan envoy
Robert Gelbard from Bosnia to Kosova, and positioned the questions
that forced
Gelbard to retract his earlier depiction of the KLA as a "terrorist"
organization. In August of that year, she published two major
articles on U.S.
foreign policy in the Balkans: "The Agony of Kosova" and "Presiding
over
Genocide: The Shame of the West." Cloyes is the author of the Civic
League's
October 1999 public declaration, entitled "Resolving the Albanian
National
Question," which examines the internal and external factors that
stand in the
way of creating a free and independent Kosova and bringing a just
and lasting
peace to the Balkans.
With the start of the NATO bombing campaign against Serbia in March
1999, Cloyes

"30 Years in the Making—Justice at Last for Slain Officer
In the early hours of 3 November 1971, a young Atlanta police
officer by the
name of Jimmy Greene was ambushed and killed as he sat in his patrol
wagon
eating his late-night supper. On 13 October 2003—some 32 years later—
the man
responsible was found guilty of his murder in Fulton County Superior
Court.
Freddie Hilton (51) was convicted of murder in the long-ago death of
Jimmy
Greene in a case prosecuted by Deputy District Attorney Al Dixon,
Senior
Assistant District Attorney Michele McCutcheon, and Senior Assistant
District
Attorney Peggy Katz. Atlanta Police Detective Jimmy Rose and Senior
Investigator
M.C. Cox of the District Attorney's Office investigated the case.
Judge
Stephanie Manis will sentence Hilton on 10 November, and he faces a
possible
double life sentence in prison.
At the time of the murder, Hilton was a member of an organization
known as the
"Black Liberation Army," a militant group infamous for attacks on law
enforcement officers in New York City and across the country. A
handful of the
group's members had come to Atlanta after breaking away from the
Black Panther
Party in the early 1970s. Hilton was among these.
Officer Greene, engaged to be married and the father of one infant
daughter, was
sitting in his vehicle at a gas station at the intersection of
Memorial Drive
and Boulevard when he was approached by Hilton and his now-dead co-
conspirator
Twyman Meyers. Hilton shot Officer Greene three times at close
range, stole his
revolver and badge, and fled the scene. A witness saw Greene slumped
over in the
front seat and soon realized he had been shot. Greene died two hours
later.
Several other former BLA members testified at the trial that Hilton
and Meyers
returned to the group's residence where the pair bragged of the
killing.
Shortly after the incident, Atlanta police found a witness who said
he heard
Hilton confess to the killing, but then-District Attorney Lewis
Slaton felt
there was not enough evidence to bring formal charges. So the story
ended
there…or so it seemed.
In early 2001, Detective Rose received a call from New York City
Police
Detective Chris Karolkowski who had come across Hilton as a suspect
in a child
molestation case and soon discovered that he had been the prime
suspect in
Greene's murder. Rose soon re-opened the case, and, with the help of
Investigator Cox, a Grand Jury indicted Hilton for the murder in
July of last
year. (Incidentally, Rose and Cox received the National Association
of Police
Organizations' highest honor last year for their work on the case.)
Hilton, who
had changed his name to Kamau Sadiki and was now working in
telecommunications
in New York, was brought back to Atlanta to face trial.
Aside from justice for Officer Greene, perhaps the most positive
aspect of this
painful incident was the re-uniting of Greene's long-estranged
daughter Melody
Adams (now 34) of North Carolina with aunts and uncles she had never
known.
Hearing about the trial in the news, Adams traveled to Atlanta to
sit in on the
trial and soon revealed her identity to other family members in
attendance. A
family long-separated by a brutal crime was now re-united."

troops in the Balkans. Not all of these S-x slaves' clients are
soldiers and

demand for
brothels in the Balkans. Certainly, the volume of trafficking,

in the spring of 1999 as soon as Nato troops arrived in Macedonia in
anticipation of military strikes against Yugoslavia [1], has greatly
increased
since the Kosovo war. Finally, the West has helped to create the
link between
the supply and the demand by supporting, in the Kosovo war, the very
Albanian
Mafia which now controls this market. The fact that there is so
much reporting
now on the matter of S-x slaves may be an indication that the powers
that be in
the West are beginning to ditch those whom they portrayed during the
spring of
1999 as passive and innocent victims….
It is clear that the Albanian Mafia controls prostitution in Italy,
and that a
very large number of prostitutes there are effectively slaves.
Although not all
the girls in Italy are from Moldova – many come from Nigeria and
Albania – it
has been affirmed by one of the leading authorities on prostitution
that they
are kept in captivity. "All the women currently on the streets (of
Italy) are
slaves. The proof is that the Nigerians, the Albanians, the
Romanians and the
women from Eastern European countries all have their passports taken
away by
their pimps. There is not one metre of street in which prostitution
is not
controlled by criminals," according to Don Oreste Benzi, a priest in
Verona who
has founded a charity which works with prostitutes. Benzi goes
on, "The
Albanians operate in family clans, in `joint ventures' with the
Mafia in Eastern
Europe and Italy. No new pimp can start operating in Italy without
paying a
percentage to the person who already controls the territory. Any
mistakes are
punished by death. For the Albanians, vendetta is second nature:
the concept
of forgiveness does not exist."[7] According to Benzi's charity, the
Association of the Community of Pope John XXIII, 48% of the
prostitutes in Italy
are from Eastern Europe; 35%-40% are minors (from 12 to 18 years
old); and 26%
have been kidnapped and taken from their countries of origin by

slavery. The youngest victim with which they have dealt was nine
years old.
260 victims of S-x slavery have been housed and helped by Save the
Children
during 2000. They had been in various Balkans countries: Kosovo,
Albania,
Macedonia, Italy, and Greece.

Italy's S-xual slave trade
Many prostitutes in Italy come from Albania
In the first of two special reports, the BBC's Brian Barron
investigates Italy's
clandestine trade in S-xual slaves and the Albanian criminals behind
the
business.
It is estimated that there could be more than 40,000 foreign
prostitutes on the
streets of Italy - and the numbers are increasing.
The streetwalkers venture out every night after 10, on the edge of
big cities
like Rome.
Each trip was awful but that was my choice. If I returned to
Albania I was
dead.
Prostitute
In the Eor district, they are Albanian or from other former
communist countries.
Most are controlled by Albanian mafia gangsters. A handful have
travelled to
Italy through their own efforts.
One streetwalker whose identity must be kept secret recalls her
particular
journey.
"I came by boat," she says.
"I was smuggled in. I had tried four times. It was a horrible trip."
"It was winter, cold and raining. It was a terrible risk. I saw dead
people with
my own eyes."
"Each trip was awful but that was my choice. If I returned to
Albania I was
dead."
"Dead or alive - this was my only choice."
Tarantelli: Women are held in slavery
The former Italian MP, Carol Bebbe Tarantelli, says that the women
are slaves.
"They are brought here," she says.
"Their passports are destroyed often, usually as a matter of fact
they are
tortured to break their wills."
"They're moved around from place to place so they don't know where
they are.
They don't speak the language."
"They're terrified and they can't escape. They're held in slavery."
Poverty
For many of the girls, the journey began in their Albanian homeland.
In Durres, most people are out of work, surviving on remittances
from relatives
abroad, like the girls on the streets of Italy.
In its poverty and human desperation it is typical of countless
Albanian
communities.
Once Albania was an all-powerful communist police state. It is now a
country
beyond the rule of law.
The police chief of Durres, Colonel Albert Pilo, is having a
difficult time
stamping out the smuggling of young girls.
Durres: Lawlessness and poverty prevail
"We have had some success against traffickers in prostitutes, " he
says.
"We've arrested at least three. But a big problem is what to do with
the girls
caught up in the system, especially if they come from outside
Albania."
"The fact is we do not have any organisation for helping them."
"At times we've had to keep the girls in prison because there's
nowhere for them
to go."
Dramatic pictures, taken two years ago, show one of the speedboats

Albanian mafia being intercepted by Italian security forces.

It was trying to land a batch of illegal immigrants on Italy's
Adriatic coast.
Boxes of drugs were thrown overboard as the gangsters, travelling at
60 miles an
hour, evaded the helicopters and ships trying to encircle them.
On the coast at Lecce, the Italian Justice Ministry, working with a
Catholic
charity, has launched another kind of assault on the Albanian mafia.
In one camp for illegal immigrants, Father Cesari helps run a
witness protection
programme for former prostitutes from Albania and Eastern Europe.
Hope for some of the women in the witness protection programme
"The choice of denouncing their pimps is an act of responsibility, "
he says.
"It's not an easy decision to make. So these girls must have the
courage to do
it.
"To cut all ties with the past. By pointing the finger at those who
abuse them
there is the chance that some of the guilty will be brought to
justice."
Eighty girls have collaborated. They have been rewarded with the
right to remain
in Italy and, when necessary, new identities.
However, 500 declined because they were afraid of the godfathers.

Joseph J. DioGuardi was born in the Bronx, New York, on September
20th, 1940.
Johnny DioGuardi was born in East Harlem on April 28th, 1914.
Johnny Dio, a.k.a. Johnny DioGuardi was not Jewish by any stretch of
the
imagination. DioGuardi specialized, among other things, in
victimizing Jews.
DioGuardi victimized some Jews directly and victimized other Jews
less
directly, as they became unwitting customers. The article below
notes that "A
salesman for the company testified in 1969 that often the meat they
delivered to
retailers was "sometimes light green and sweaty and often was an
atrocity to
perpetrate on our customers."
"On November 14th, 1964, two NYPD detectives sat in a basement in
Queens, New
York, listening to a tape recording of the conversations coming out
of a bug—a
tiny wireless microphone and radio transmitter hidden in the office
of Norman
LoKietz, president of the Merkel Meat Company. They were listening
to evidence
that illustrated with chilling clarity that the Mafia controlled an
industry
that robbed the public of more than just its money. It was also
stealing its
health and safety. In the taped conversations, the name "Johnny Dio"
kept
cropping up. The cops knew who he was.
Dio's photograph, with a cigarette dangling from one corner of a
viscous snarl
as he slugged a United Press photographer outside a Senate committee
hearing
room, appeared on front pages of newspapers all over the country,
because it so
perfectly matched the average person's preconception of what a Mafia
thug should
look like.
As the police developed their investigation into the Merkel Meat
Company and the
links with Dio, aka Johnny Dioguardi, it became increasingly obvious
that the
Lucchese crime family was earning big money from its involvement in
the movement
of substandard and, at times actually rotten meat, that was being
sold into the
retail marketplace.
Dioguardi was a master fixer and controller of locals and unions
and, through
this influence, was able to manipulate opportunities for himself and
the
Lucchese family in a wide range of areas.
The Nassau DA William Cahn illustrated Dioguardi's association with
one
particular company that showed his ability to corrupt and control.
In 1963, he joined Consumer Kosher Productions as a salesman on a
salary of $250
a week. By 1966, he was earning $5000 per week, and in addition had
taken over
control of the business. He used this company as a vehicle to gain
control of
the low price kosher meat business. Essentially his method was to
take over an
organization, buy in supplies and create an extended line of credit,
never pay
his debtors, and when the business went bust, move on to the next
one.A salesman
for the company testified in 1969 that often the meat they delivered
to
retailers was "sometimes light green and sweaty and often was an
atrocity to
perpetrate on our customers." Consumer Kosher Productions eventually
went
bankrupt, and Dioguardi shifted what remaining assets there were to
another
company called Tel Aviv. That company also went belly-up in due
course and he
then set up a firm called First National Kosher Provisions. And so
it went on.
Eventually the law caught up with him and he was indicted, and in
1967 was
sentenced to five years in prison and fined $10,000. By this time,
Dioguardi had
been connected to the Lucchese family for over thirty years.

Johnny Dio was born in East Harlem on April 28th, 1914. He grew up
on Forsythe
Street in Little Italy where his father Dominick owned a bicycle
shop there. By
1930, he was already at age fifteen an apprentice young hood. After
a year and a
half at Stuyvesant High School, he left to begin work. Through the
influence of
his uncle, James "Jimmy Doyle" Plumeri, a prize fighter, racketeer
and upcoming
soldier in the Gagliano family, he became a leg-breaker and budding
extortionist
working the Garment Center. He was also, as legend has it, one of
the gangsters involved in the so called "Murder Inc." group
that worked
out of Brownsville, East New York, in the 1930's carrying out
murders….Darkly handsome—so dark that he
was called
"Blackie" as a young street punk—wearing $250 silk suits and a
pleasant smile,
well dressed, well barbered and well manicured, he was always
careful to give
the appearance of an urbane and successful businessman. In 1935,
Thomas Dewey,
the crusading New York DA, listed Dioguardi as among the most
dangerous hoods in
the city. And all this before he was twenty-one years old! In 1937
he got a
three-to-five year sentence at Sing-Sing after being convicted with
his uncle
and several other mobsters for extortion and assault. They had been
extracting
$5000 from every trucker in the garment district, plus demanding a
premium on
every suit and coat made in the area.In 1944, he was indicted for
operating an
illegal still, but the charge was dismissed.In 1954, he was tried
and convicted
for failure to pay state income tax in connection with his continued
shakedown
of operators in the garment district. For that, he got sixty days.In
November
1957, he went on trial with some Teamster officials for shaking down
owners of
stationery stores. After a four week trial, he was convicted and
sentenced to
two years in jail.By the time he was forty, he was a "made man" in
the Gagliano
family which was now referred to as the Lucchese family, operating
as a capo, or
crew chief, and he was a multi-millionaire. He was highly regarded
in the family
as a "ferocious earner" the highest accolade that can be bestowed on
a member of
organized crime, generating in excess of $100,000 each week. He was
so rich, his
standard Christmas present to his wife was a shoe box stuffed with
$50,000 and a
sweet little note such as " buy yourself some nice clothes,
honey."He lived in
great style, wining and dining at the best hotels and restaurants in
town, but
always reserved Sundays to meet with family and friends, and prepare
lunch or
dinner. Like so many mobsters of Italian-American extraction, he was
an
excellent cook, and loved to entertain at his beautiful and lavish
home in
Freeport Avenue, Point Lookout, Long Island, which he had purchased
for $75,000
in the early 1960's. His legitimate business fronts which
contributed to his
significant tax returns each year, included many highly profitable
clothing
factories, and also Jard Products at 260 Fifth Avenue, Manhattan,
which sold
promotional items to commercial establishments. One of their major
customers was
the retail chain Waldbaums.His skill as a union manipulator was
legendary in the
Mob, and on one occasion, Thomas Lucchese arranged for him to travel
to Los
Angeles to help out an old friend, Jack Dragna, the boss of the L.A.
Mafia
family. The ILGWU was trying to drive out non-union, cheap Mexican
labour from
Dragna's factories, but Dioguardi's expertise secured waivers on
every important
stipulation set up and foiled the union's attempt.In the 1950's,
Senate
investigations named Dioguardi as one of the masterminds that
manipulated the
unions operating out of Idlewild, the vast 5,000 acre international
airport that
would one day be called Kennedy.When Jimmy Hoffa was making his play
to become
president of the giant Teamsters Union in 1957, he turned to an old
friend,
Johnny Dio for help. It wasn't clear whether or not the majority of
the New York
area locals supported Hoffa, and this was necessary to swing enough
voters to
support his control of the mid western region, secured through the
Chicago Mob's
help. The solution was to create more locals: enough to establish a
majority.
This was done by setting up "paper" locals—locals with few if any
members—that
could swing the balance in the New York voting.Dioguardi engineered
the creation
of seven new Teamster unions. The extra supply of delegates from
these
guaranteed Hoffa control of the New York delegation of the Teamsters
convention.
These seven locals were basically sham fronts, composed not of
working people,
but friends and relatives of Johnny Dio. Hoffa won the
nomination.With hindsight
it was probably the start of Hoffa's imbroglio with the Justice
Department,
resulting in his war with Robert Kennedy, his indictment, trial and
imprisonment
in 1967, release in 1971 and the events that led up to the fateful
rendezvous on
July 30th, 1975, at the Manchus Red Fox Restaurant in Detroit. He
went there to
meet up with three men. It was a rendezvous from which he never
returned,
vanishing off the face of the earth; murdered probably by Salvatore
Briguglio, a
man connected to the Genovese crime family. Hoffa became a ghostly
testator who
haunts the Teamsters trust to this day.John Dioguardi was
undoubtedly one of the
most powerful members of the Lucchese crime family. His influence
was felt in
many areas, particularly those relating to labor. He is remembered
however, more
than anything, for one especially terrible act.In the early hours of
Thursday
April 5th, 1956, a nationally known newspaper columnist and
commentator on labor
affairs called Victor Riesel made a radio broadcast in New York. The
41-year-old
Riesel was a crusading journalist, specializing in investigating
union
corruption and Mob-influenced officials. Writing for the Daily
Mirror, his
column was syndicated in 193 newspapers. This night, he interviewed
two workers
from Local 138 of the International Operating Engineers Union out of
Long
Island. Run by father and son both called William DeKoning, they and
their local
were involved in shaking down contractors and were under
investigation by
Manhattan US attorneys.After the broadcast, Reisel and his
secretary, Betty
Nevins, went to Lindy's restaurant at Broadway and 51st Street for a
late
supper. At 3 a.m. as they were walking to Nevins' car, a man
approached them and
threw sulphuric acid into Riesel's face. Rushed to St. Clare's
Hospital,
surgeons were unable to save his eyesight.
Victor Reisel
A federal investigation established the attacker was a twenty-two-
year-old hood
and longshoreman called Abraham Tevi. He had been hired by one Joe
Carlino and
paid $1,175 to do the job. The money had apparently been put up by
Dioguardi. As
publicity mounted, Tevi became convinced that he had been grossly
underpaid to
carry out a piece of work on such an important person and demanded
$50,000. What
he got instead was two bullets in the head, and his body was found
on July 28th,
lying on Mulberry Street, in Manhattan's Little Italy district.
Although some
people were tried and convicted of the attack on Reisel, the two
prime witnesses
against Dioguardi, Gondolfo Miranti and Domenico Bondo, backed off,
and all
charges against Johnny Dio were dropped in May, 1957.
The assault on Victor Reisel brought a lot of pressure down on
Johnny Dio. The
very action that was aimed at removing a source of irritation,
resulted in far
more damage to his activities that could possibly have occurred had
the assault
not taken place.Despite all the other criminal acts that he was
involved in or
convicted of, Dioguardi is still best known as "the man who blinded
Victor
Reisel." That reputation more than anything else guaranteed that the
police, FBI
and the media would never stop hounding him, and as a result, he
would
eventually spend the rest of his prime years in prison for other
crimes he
committed.Dioguardi always on the lookout for new rackets,
discovered the boom
in fly-by-night stock promotions in the late 1960's. Stock would be
acquired
from a failing company for little or no money; the market would be
rigged in the
stock through a brokerage firm he operated called J.M. Kelsey & Co.
then the
shares would be sold at vastly inflated prices—leaving the investors
to hold the
bag when the fraud was eventually exposed. However fate and the law
finally
caught up with Johnny Dio and, in 1970, he, along with his immediate
boss in the
Lucchese crime family Carmine Tramunti, were indicted on fraud
charges
concerning stocks in two firms, Belmont Franchising Corp. and
At-Your-Service- Leasing Co.He was tried and convicted in December
1973, and
sentenced to a further prison sentence, concurrent to the one he was
already
serving at Danbury Prison in connection with one of his kosher meat
company
scams. Due for parole in August 1979, he died in a prison hospital
the same
year.
Johnny Dio going to prison one last time
Johnny Dioguardi was a good example of the consummate mafioso. He
started young
at fifteen and had a perfect introduction into the world of crime
through the
guidance and help of his uncle. He combined thuggery, cunning, guile
and polish
in an enviable mixture. He made the right kind of connections from
an early age.
Jimmy Hoffa for instance, was a boyhood friend, and Dioguardi used
these
contacts throughout his career as a means of levering his scams and
extortion's
into huge, money-spinning ventures for himself and his crime family.
Like many
criminals, he obviously had the brains and ability to have succeeded
in
legitimate business, had he been that way inclined. The highest
earners in the
Mob work longer hours than any Fortune Top 50 C.E.O.s. Even the
lowest soldiers
will routinely put in eighty hour weeks, seven days to keep on top
of their
scheming and scamming.
When he died in a Pennsylvania prison hospital, his passing
attracted no
newspaper attention. All his wealth and power and almost fifty years
of criminal
depravity seemed to count for nothing at all. It was as though he
had never
existed."

Convicted associates of the Pittsburgh Mafia Family, Mafia-
corrupted labor
Unions and Middle Eastern political operatives are among those who
have
contributed to the past two re-election campaigns of Congressman
James
Traficant, an analysis of Federal Election Commission records
reveals. These
records, which are required filings under Federal Election law,
reveal 219
donations by individuals and 212 donations by Unions and Political
Action
Committees. 47 of the personal contributions came from outside the
State of
Ohio, with 35 of those from the State of Virginia. 38 are from
individuals that
indicate a Middle Eastern background of the contributor. Among
the
contributors whose names would probably be recognized by most
Youngstown
residents are Ed Flask, Mark Colucci, David Sugar, Anthony Saadey,
Russell
Saadey, Jr., Sam Traficanti, and fireworks businessmen Bruce Zoldan
and Gerald
Bostocky. Among the contributors whose names would probably NOT
be
recognized by most Youngstown residents are Virginia residents Ali
Asghar
Abbaszadeh, Reza Bulochi, Massud Mirmohammaoi, Ramesh Sepehrrad, and
Javad
Vaziri, Samir Mohammad, Ammar Shafai, and Homayoun Nasser Sharif,
Georgia
resident Hossein Shamsai, Massachusetts residents Mahaz Nasseri and
Hessein
Sadeghpour, Kansas City's Sajadi Sacid, Maryland's Cyrus Samet and
Mahmoud
Tabassi, and San Diego's Mohammad Bigdeli. Russell Saadey Jr.,
a former
investigator for the District Attorney's office in Youngstown, was
indicted last
December on charges he bribed Judges to fix Court cases. Ed
Flask accepted
a plea bargain last year in which he pleaded guilty to felony
charges in regards
to his rip-off of nearly $2 million while running the public water
utility in
Youngstown. Flask first received notoriety during the 1983 Federal
bribery trial
of then-Sheriff James Traficant, when it was revealed that Cleveland
Mafia
associate Charlie "The Crab" Carabbia had secretly tape recorded
Traficant
bragging about how he laundered through Flask's law office part of
the $163,000
in bribe money he accepted from the Mafia. Those same tapes revealed
that
Carabbia was blackmailing Flask with "compromising photographs of
Flask which
would ensure his silence!" Just days later, Carabbia was abducted
and murdered.
B & T Express employee Sam Traficanti was present during some of the
secret tape
-recorded meetings between the Carabbia brothers and Sheriff-elect
Traficant,
but was not charged. Two of Traficanti's fellow employees at B & T
Express also
donated to Traficant's campaign records show. Traficanti is not
related to
Congressman Traficant. Last September, the Congressman' s employee
Anthony
Traficanti was subpoenaed by the Federal Grand Jury in
Cleveland.
Congressman Traficant has also received campaign contributions from
Youngstown
resident Walter Terlecki. In recent months, Congressman Traficant
has entered
into the Congressional Record sworn affidavits by Michael "Beef"
Terlecky, a
former Mahoning County Deputy Sheriff who was convicted of taking
bribes from
the Mafia. Terlecky now claims that he was set up by some of the same
authorities that are now involved in the investigation of
Congressman Traficant,
including two public figures who attended an anti-Mafia summit
meeting recently
in Palermo, Sicily. The Congressman has denied a request by the
chairman of the
Mahoning County Board of Elections who is seeking information the
Congressman
claims to have regarding Mafia bribes to the campaigns of elected
officials in
Youngstown. Terlecky also claims that it was he who found the
infamous
Carabbia tapes months before the FBI during an illegal search and
seizure
regarding an investigation into the murder of yet another Youngstown
Mafia
figure, Joe DeRose. However, conversations on the Carabbia tapes
that include
remarks made by Sam Traficanti clearly indicate that the tapes were
recorded
months later than Terlecky's claims, when Traficant had just been
elected
Sheriff. Congressman Traficant is also now claiming that an FBI
agent in
Youngstown was taking bribes from the Mafia 38 years ago in
1962. During
the 1999 Federal bribery trial of Youngstown Sheriff Philip Chance
fireworks
distributor Bruce Zoldan testified that Chance shook him down
for `tribute
money' to Pittsburgh Mafia figure Lenny Strollo. Zoldan's first run-
in with
Chance was in 1983, when Sheriff Traficant and his Deputy Chance
raided Zoldan's
fireworks business two days before their busiest moneymaking period,
the Fourth
of July. Zoldan would also testify that the Gambino Family led by
John Gotti
extorted a huge sum of money from him in order to do business in New
York. The
murder of Mafia figure Joey Naples, who was among those who
contributed to the
$163,000 bribe to Traficant, is believed to be a result of the fight
for control
of the fireworks business. David Sugar pleaded guilty last year
to
Obstruction of Justice charges in regards to his attempts to conceal
evidence
from the Grand Jury in Cleveland investigating financial dealings
between Sugar,
his construction company, and Congressman Traficant. Sugar is
expected to
testify against Traficant at any future criminal proceedings, as is
Traficant's
former employee on his horse farm, Clarence Broad. In November of
last year,
Broad pleaded guilty to charges he tried to hire a hitman to murder
a woman who
was expected to give damaging testimony against Traficant before the
Grand Jury
in Cleveland. Criminal attorney Mark Colucci, who also is among
those who have
given money to Traficant's campaign, responded by alleging in
Federal Court that
Prosecutor Craig Morford had used coercion to force Broad to plead
guilty. Judge
Donald Nugent was not impressed with Colucci's unsubstantiated
claims and
threatened to cite Colucci for Contempt of Court. In 1998 and
2000
Traficant accepted donations from controversial activist James
Zogby, President
of the Arab American Institute. Zogby was recently in the news last
October,
when his appointment as an Advisor to the Al Gore campaign sparked
outrage
worldwide among supporters of Israel. The Jerusalem Post quoted
terrorism expert
Steven Emerson: "Zogby has not only made comments that are
incendiary but he has
also made comments that are anti-Semitic! " "(Zogby has) openly
supported the
Hizbullah!" Emerson is renown for his investigation of the terrorist
bombing of
Pan Am Flight 103, which exploded over Lockerbie, Scotland in
December, 1988,
killing 270 people, including 35 Syracuse University students.
On June 29,
1993, Senator John McCain entered into the Congressional Record a
public
challenge to the FBI and the Justice Department to share information
on the
People's Mujahidin Organization of Iran, a suspected terrorist
organization that
was involved in a clandestine effort to influence public policy
through an
organized campaign of directing contributions to the campaigns of
selected
members of Congress. Said the Senator: "Given the charges made in a
previous FBI
report that the PMOI has a history of terrorism, an anti-Western
ideology, and
ties to the regime of Saddam Hussein, this should be a matter of
concern to all
Members." In 1997 The Iran Report, a publication of the Middle
East Data
Project, identified four members of Congress as recipients of
campaign donations
from alleged associates of the PMOI. Those four were Robert
Torricelli of New
Jersey, Gary Ackerman of New York, Dan Burton of Indiana and James
Traficant of
Ohio. To date, none of these individuals have been charged with
making illegal
campaign contributions. However, Senator Torricelli is currently in
the news
defending himself against a Chinese fundraiser named David Chang,
who has
pleaded guilty to illegally contributing $53,000 to Torricelli's
1996 campaign.
Numerous recent Media reports show that the Feds are now nearing the
conclusion
of an investigation that began with reports of impropriety regarding
contributions to Torricelli's 1996 campaign. Congressman
Traficant has
developed a huge following in the Arab and Muslim countries in the
Middle East
because of his passionate public support for accused terrorists
Abdel Basset Ali
Mohmed Al-Megrahi and Al Amin Khalifa Fhimah, indicted for the
bombing of Pan Am
Flight 103, and former auto worker John Demjanjuk, who was placed on
trial in
Israel on charges he was "Ivan the Terrible," a Nazi concentration
camp guard
responsible for the murders of thousands of Jews during World War
II. Demjanjuk
was convicted and sentenced to death, although the Israeli Supreme
Court later
reversed his conviction. Congressman Traficant then flew to Israel
to personally
escort the accused murderer back to the United States. In the
case of the
terrorist bombing of Pan Am Flight 103, Traficant first went public
in this
matter at a press conference in 1989, at which he claimed that the
bombing was
the result of a joint Syrian/CIA operation. ABC News London
correspondent Pierre
Salinger then picked up the story, utilizing Traficant, government
informant
Lester Coleman, and private investigator Juval Aviv as his sources.
Coleman
later pleaded guilty to Perjury charges and admitted his Pan Am/CIA
story was a
hoax. Juval Aviv was placed on trial in 1996 in Manhattan on Federal
fraud
charges unrelated to the Pan Am case. He was acquitted. Upon
Aviv's
indictment Congressman Traficant found a replacement in Boris de
Korczak as his
lead researcher in his quest to prove his Pan Am 103 theory. Boris
is best known
for the lawsuit he filed in 1996 against the CIA in which he claimed
he had been
recruited by the CIA as a double agent against the KGB, that
his `cover' had
been blown by a drunken U. S. official which resulted in a shoot-out
with the
KGB during a car chase through the streets of Copenhagen, and that
his CIA case
Officer extorted from him a bribe of Russian Medieval icons worth
$300,000 in
exchange for the promise of help in obtaining the pension he claimed
was owed
him. Boris claims he turned over the bribe, only to be shot in the
kidney 4
months later by an unknown assailant armed with a pellet gun. The
CIA denied
Boris' claims he was owed monetary compensation and also denied any
of its
employees shot Boris with a pellet gun. Boris' lawsuit was dismissed
and the
decision was upheld on Appeal. Despite the efforts of Traficant
and his
associates to prove their conspiracy theory, Abdel Basset Ali Mohmed
Al-Megrahi
was recently convicted as the terrorist who planted the bomb that
destroyed Pan
Am Flight 103. Al Amin Khalifa Fhimah was acquitted. In
addition to
receiving campaign money from convicted Mafia figures and Middle
Eastern
political operatives, FEC documents also detail contributions made to
Traficant's campaign from Unions that have been involved in
corruption scandals
in recent years. Those Unions include the American Federation of
State, County,
& Municipal Employees, the Communications Workers of America, the
Transport
Workers Union, and the UFCW. Traficant has also received
donations from the
Italian-American Democratic Leadership Council, the Al Gore for
President
campaign, and the National Education Association Fund for Children
and Public
Education. Ironic is the $12,000 donated to Traficant by the
Association of
Trial Lawyers, as Traficant is one of the few people without a law
degree to
have ever beaten a Federal racketeering trial by acting as his own
attorney.
When Sheriff Traficant was arrested by the FBI in 1982, he signed a
confession
after agents played for him excerpts from the Carabbia tapes.
Traficant then
hired one of the best attorneys in the business, Carmen Policy, Ed
Flask's
partner, who is today the President of the Cleveland Browns
professional
football team. However, after Traficant went public with charges
that just about
every public official in Youngstown was involved with the Mafia,
Policy dumped
Traficant as his client. Traficant then made a bold – and some would
say insane
– decision to renounce his confession and stand trial, acting as his
own
attorney. Traficant explained to the jury that he only accepted the
Mafia bribe
money so he would know whom to arrest for corruption once elected
Sheriff. After
four days of deliberations, the jury returned a verdict that stunned
the
Prosecutors and journalists that covered the trial; Not Guilty.
Traficant then
turned the publicity over his acquittal to his advantage and was
elected to
Congress in 1984. However, three years later he was again in Court,
facing civil
charges that he owed taxes on the $163,000 in Mafia bribes.
Representing him was
attorney George Alexander, who has since been convicted of
racketeering with the
Mafia. As in the O. J. Simpson case, Traficant was convicted in his
civil trial
and ordered to pay back taxes, fines, and interest. For many
months now,
Traficant has been predicting during public appearances that he
expects to be
indicted - again - by the Federal authorities in Cleveland who have
to date
convicted over 70 public officials, many of whom are associates of
the

EMERSON'S TESTIMONY
According to Steve Emerson, a well-known investigative journalist
specializing
in militant Islamic organizations, the AMA's leaders "have
sanctioned terrorism,
published anti-Semitic statements, and repeatedly hosted conferences
that were
forums for denunciations of Jews and exhortations to wage jihad."
Faced with
pressure on the matter, Mrs. Clinton announced on Oct. 25th that she
was
returning the $50,000 in campaign contributions raised for her by
the AMA. She
failed to give a credible explanation as to why it took her more
than four
months from June 13th until October 25th until she saw it
necessary to
return the money.
Mr. Emerson, in a recent Wall Street Journal article, noted: "As
first lady,
Mrs. Clinton began in 1996 an outreach program to Muslim leaders in
the U.S.
With America's Muslim population at some six million and growing, an
effort to
include the community's leaders in the mainstream of American
politics is
unquestionably a worthy undertaking. But curiously, nearly all of
the leaders
with whom Mrs. Clinton elected to meet came from Islamic
fundamentalist
organizations. A review of the statements, publications and
conferences of the
groups Mrs. Clinton embraced shows unambiguously that they have long
advocated
or justified violence. By meeting with these groups, the first lady
lent them
legitimacy as "mainstream" and "moderate"."
But this should not be unexpected, considering Mrs. Clinton's past
radical
affiliations. During the 1980's, ultra-liberal lawyer Hillary Rodham-
Clinton
served on the board of the New World Foundation, which funneled
money to the
Palestine Liberation Organization, at a time when the PLO was
officially
recognized by the United States as a terrorist organization.
Similarly, in February 1996, Hillary hosted a reception at the White
House for
leaders of Hamas-supporting groups such as the American Muslim
Council and the
Council on American-Islamic Relations. And in January, 1998, Hillary
hosted
another White House reception honoring Muslim leaders and the Muslim
Public
Affairs Council who defended militant Islamic fundamentalism and
also supported
radical Islamic groups.
THE REAL HILLARY
This, then, is the real Hillary Rodham-Clinton. An ambitious woman
willing to
utter any banal cliche on behalf of "Israel's security" to placate
unaware New
York Jewish voters, but one whose pre-Senate race record on Israel
is appalling.
It's a record of supporting the terrorist PLO, even before the 1993
signing of
the first Oslo Agreement on the White House lawn, of ignoring
blatant calumny
heaped on Israel by Suha Arafat, of supporting the creation of a
Palestinian PLO
State, of hosting and legitimizing extremist Islamic groups in the
United
States. Most recently, it included taking campaign contributions
from these very
same evil, anti-Semitic organizations - until being caught with her
hand in the

Tetovo during World War II, 1941-1944: Introduction
The practical implementation of the Greater Albania ideology was
achieved during
World War II when Adolf Hitler and Benito Mussolini established a
German/Italian
sponsored Albanian state which incorporated Western Macedonia,
Illirida,
Kosovo-Metohija, Kosova, and southern Montenegro . Hitler and
Mussolini set the
historical and political precedent for the creation of Greater
Albania which
existed from 1941 to 1944. The Orthodox Slavic populations, the Roma
and Jewish
populations were to be exterminated and deported. Albanian was made
the official
language in Kosovo, Western Macedonia, and southern Montenegro . The
Albanian
Lek was introduced as the official currency. The Albanian national
flag, a
double-headed black eagle on a red background, was raised in the
occupied areas.
Hitler and Mussolini had achieved a Greater or Ethnic Albania . The
UCK, the
so-called Albanian Liberation Army, known also by the acronyms the
NLA/KLA/ANA/ KPC/LAPMB, seeks to re-establish and to re-create the
Greater
Albania first created by Adolf Hitler and Benito Mussolini. The
agenda, the
goals, and the objectives of the UCK are identical to those of the
ideologues of
Greater Albania during World War II who created a Greater Albania in
Western
Macedonia, Kosovo-Metohija, and southern Montenegro . Western
Macedonia and the
city of Tetovo are integral and inseparable components or parts of
the Greater
Albania ideology. Greater Albania would be incomplete without

Tetovo during World War II: Italian Occupation, 1941-1943 Adolf
Hitler and
Benito Mussolini established Greater Albania in 1941 following the
occupation
and dismemberment of Yugoslavia . On April 6, 1941, Germany and
allies Italy ,
Albania , Hungary , and Bulgaria invaded Yugoslavia in Operation
Punishment.
Yugoslavia was subsequently occupied and dismembered. Hitler and
Mussolini then
sponsored a Greater Albanian state which included territory from
Western
Macedonia, Kosovo-Metohija, and southern Montenegro .
Tetovo became a part of Albania . The borders of Albania were
enlarged to
include not only Tetovo or Tetova in Albanian, but all of Western
Macedonia
(Illirida), Kosovo-Metohija, and regions of Montenegro . Present-day
Macedonia
(FYROM) was divided between Albania and Bulgaria . Tetovo was in the
Italian
zone of occupation until September 3,1943, when Italy surrendered
and Germany
re-occupied Macedonia . Ethnic Albanians in Macedonia formed the
National
Albanian Committee to advance the Greater Albania movement and
agenda. The Balli
Kombetar (BK, National Union) was formed by Midhat Frasheri and Ali
Klissura to
advance the Greater Albania ideology or cause. The Slavic Orthodox
populations
were targeted for deportation or murder. The Jews and Roma were
similarly to be
deported or killed.
Hitler and Mussolini had given the ethnic Albanians Greater Albania.
In August,
1941, the Italian occupation forces in Tetovo established a prison
for prisoners
of war. The Italian occupation authorities gave the civil authority
and
administration to the Albanian population. All Albanian-inhabited
territories,
Western Macedonia, Illirida, Kosovo-Metohija, Kosova, and southern
Montenegro ,
were integrated completely into Albania proper. Albanian language
schools, an
Albanian press, an Albanian radio network were established and an
Albanian
governmental and political administration was created. Vulnetara, an
Albanian
paramilitary formation, was organized. Albanian police units were
established by
the Italian occupation force. Albanian became the official language
as Western
Macedonia or Illirida became a part of Albania . The Albanian
national flag, the
double-headed black eagle on a red background, was raised in Tetovo
and other
cities and towns in Western Macedonia . The Albanian Lek was
introduced as the
official currency. Tetovo, Gostivar, Struga, Debar, and Kichevo were
the key
municipalities and districts in Western Macedonia incorporated into
Albania , a
Greater Albania. Eastern Macedonia was occupied by Bulgarian
military forces.
Macedonia was divided between Albania and Bulgaria . Hitler and
Mussolini sought
to delineate the borders between Greater Albania and Greater
Bulgaria. The
Albanians and their Italian sponsors wanted to enlarge the borders
of Albania
eastward encroaching on Bulgarian occupied territory. The Bulgarians
sought to
expand westward. On April 20 and 21, 1941, the German foreign
minister, Joachim
Ribbentrop, and the Italian foreign minister, Count Galeazzo Ciano,
met in
Vienna to discuss the Bulgarian occupation zone and the enlargement
of the
borders of Greater Albania eastward. Ribbentrop emphasized the
importance of the
mines in Kosovo-Metohija and Macedonia that were vital to the
strategic
interests of Germany . The German and Italian supreme commands
reached an
agreement on the final demarcation line in Macedonia . Hitler
approved the
agreement on April 25. The agreement was tentative, however, and was
not a
final, complete agreement on demarcation lines. The agreement was
abandoned
later as Italy and Bulgaria could not agree on a border between
their two
occupation zones in Macedonia and Kosovo-Metohija. Later in 1941,
the two sides
were able to reach an understanding on where the border should be.
The Italian occupation forces appointed Albanian Dzaferi Sulejmani
the president
of the Tetovo district. The vice-president was Albanian Munir
Tevshana who had
come from Albania . Later, Zejnel Starova and Shaib Kamberi replaced
him.
Kamberi worked for the Italian intelligence service. Selim Shaipi
was the
representative for Tetovo and was the leader of the Albanian youth
movement.
Shaipi was also a representative of the Second League of Prizren and
was the
president of the Third Balli Kombetar Committee. Shaipi fled with
the German
Army when Tetovo was evacuated in 1944. Husein Derala was made the
commander of
the gendarmes units in Tetovo by the Italian occupation forces.

The Albanian administration targeted the Orthodox, Slavic
populations for
elimination, disenfranchisement, de-recognition, and expulsion.
Feyzi Alizoti
called for the extermination and deportation of non-Muslims. The
Greater Albania
ideology was anti-Orthodox, anti-Slavic in nature, and atrocities,
deportations,
and murders were committed against the Slavic, Orthodox populations.
Josip
Kovac, a Slovenian who was placed in charge of the Tetovo hospital
by the Axis
forces, described the anti-Orthodox, anti-Christian, anti-Slavic
activity of
Alizoti as follows:
"There were exceptionally hard times in the annexed areas of Western
Macedonia
and Kosovo-Metohija when Fejzi Alizoti, the High Commissioner,
visited. He gave
a speech in Tetovo that demanded the annihilation of the non-Muslim
communities.
Publicly and openly he stated that there will be no peace until the
last
foreigner--- Orthodox Christians-- -leaves his territory and settles
across the
border and only ethnic Albanians are left behind. Following his
visit, the
situation deteriorated and became unbearable for all non-Muslims. "
The Italian military intelligence service, OVRA, formed an
independent battalion
in occupied Tetovo. The battalion was named ìLjubotenî, a special
unit made up
of ethnic Albanians in the Tetovo region. This Italian-created
Albanian Axis
unit was to uncover, question, and annihilate any resistance to the
occupation.
After the surrender of Italy in 1943, the German forces retained
this Albanian
formation allowing the unit to keep their Italian-issued uniforms
and weapons.
Members of the Balli Kombetar later joined the Ljuboten battalion.
At the end of
1943, the Ljuboten unit was engaged in the attack on Kichevo in
Macedonia .
The Italian occupation of Western Macedonia allowed the Albanian
population to
create an ethnic Albanian-ruled region. Albanian police and
paramilitary units
were formed as a proxy army by the Italian forces. The civil
administration was
entrusted by the Italians to Albanian leaders. Albanian became the
official
language;the civil and police administration was taken over by
ethnic Albanians;
Albanian schools, newspapers, and radio stations were established.
Tetovo became
Tetova, an Albanian Muslim city in the newly-expanded Albanian state.
Early History
From the 14th century, Tetovo has been an Orthodox Slavic settlement
founded
around the Orthodox Church of Sveta Bogorodica (Saint Mother of God)
near the
mountain source of the Pena river in the Polog valley. Sveta
Bogorodica was
built in the 13th century when Tetovo began to be regarded as a
major Orthodox
Church center. Tetovo was the first center of the Orthodox
episcopate. The
oldest settlement in Tetovo is the region around the Sveta
Bogorodica Orthodox
Church. The modern city of Tetovo grew from this small medieval
Orthodox Slavic
settlement of Htetovo with the building and construction of houses
around the
Orthodox Church. The Ottoman Turkish Muslim Empire invaded and
occupied
present-day Macedonia beginning in the 14th century. The Muslim
Turks began
settling and colonizing Macedonia with Turkish settlers. The Ottoman
Turks began
the Turkification and Islamicization of Macedonia. The Ottoman Turks
altered the
Orthodox Slavic nature of Tetovo, which in Turkish was renamed
Kalkandele. The
Ottoman Turks began settling the level lowlands of Tetovo. The
Colored or
Painted Mosque (Aladzha or Sharena Dzamija), also known as the Pasha
Mosque, was
built in 1459 by the Ottoman Turks. The earlier Slavic Orthodox
population
concentration in Tetovo was on the high ground and on the foothills
of the Shar
Planina or Mountain range.
In the 18th and 19th centuries, the city began to expand greatly.
The city was
divided into the Orthodox Slavic quarter and the Muslim Turkish
quarter. The
Orthodox Slavic quarter or section was on the left side, on the Pena
River ,
made up of the Potok, Dva Bresta, Koltuk, Sveti Nikola, Dol,
Pevchina, and Dolno
regions. The Turkish Muslim quarter or section included the
following regions:
The Colored Mosque (Sharena Dzamija) region, Banja, Gorna Charshija,
Gamgan, and
Saat. After World War II, the ethnic mosaic of the city changed with
the
displacement of the Serbian Orthodox and Turkish Muslim populations.
The city
then acquired its present ethnic configuration of Macedonian
Orthodox Slavs and
Muslim Albanians. Different city subdivisions emerged. New
settlements and
districts were formed such as Przhova Bavcha, Tabakaana, Gazaana,
the Teteks
textile plant district, and the Boulevard ìBoris Kidricî.
In the town of Leshok , which had been known as Legen Grad, in the
Tetovo
municipality, is located the Leshok Monastery which includes the
Orthodox Church
of the Holy Virgin built in 1326 and the Sveti Athanasius Orthodox
Church built
in 1924. The tomb of the Orthodox scholar Kiril Pejchinovic lies in
the Leshok
Monastery. The Church has three layers of frescoes: The lower layer
was built in
1326, the middle layer was built in the 17th century, and the top
layer was
built in 1879. The Leshok Monastery symbolizes the Orthodox and
Slavic presence
in the region. The UCK separatists deliberately mined and demolished
the
Monastery in August, 2001, to eradicate and cleanse the Orthodox
Slavic
influence. Cultural cleansing is followed by the ethnic cleansing of
the
Orthodox Slavic population. The UCK has ethnically cleansed or
driven out much
of the non-Albanian population from the Tetovo district."
"HILLARY RUSHED TO SUPPORT PALESTINIAN STATE
And Hillary Rodham-Clinton? Well, in May 1998, she told a youth
conference on
Middle East peace in Villars, Switzerland, that she supports the
eventual
creation of an independent Palestinian state. Her spokesperson,
Marsha Berry
told reporters: ""These remarks are her own personal view." Then, in
November
1999, while on a purported State visit to the Middle East, she
publicly appeared
with Yasser Arafat's wife Suha. With Hillary at her side, Suha
Arafat made the
deliberately false allegation that "Our [Palestinian] people have
been submitted
to the daily and intensive use of poisonous gas by the Israeli
forces, which has
led to an increase in cancer cases among women and children." Mrs.
Arafat also
accused Israel of contaminating much of the water sources used by
Palestinians
with "chemical materials" and poisoning Palestinian women and
children with
toxic gases.
Instead of reacting with outrage, Hillary Clinton sat by silently -
and gave her
a hug and a kiss when she finished speaking. Later, many hours after
the event,
and only after a media furor put her on the spot for what many view
as a bit
more than a mere political "faux pas", Mrs. Clinton called on "all
sides" to
refrain from "inflammatory rhetoric and baseless accusations" -
including
Israel, whose leaders made no such accusations. Glossing over this
remarkably
repugnant affair, Mrs. Clinton has yet to specifically contradict
and denounce
the monstrous lies uttered by Yasser Arafat's wife in her presence."

frequently

The use of the "N" word. Patterson said Bill Clinton would use the
word "n--ger"
— the "N" word — when he was angry with African-American opponents.

the use of the word in describing a black, Arkansas activist who
was critical
of Clinton. Patterson said Clinton also used the "N" word during the
1992
campaign
Hitler and Mein Kampf. Bill Clinton, Patterson said, spoke
admiringly of Hitler

Fooling the Jews
WOMEN IN GREEN, among whose members there are many voters from New
York who
have dual citizenship, will protest against the visit of Hillary
Clinton.
We will be outside the Tel Aviv Museum, Shaul HaMelech Boulevard and
Weizman Street in Tel Aviv, at 19:15 to voice our opposition to
this "new"
and dubious friend of Israel.
Hillary Clinton is one smart lady. She wants to be President.
Therefore,
she will say anything to any particular Group that will lend itself
to
obtaining that set objective. She strategically chose the upcoming
Senatorial race in New York as the first stepping stone towards
reaching
her presidential goal. However, New York has an important Jewish
vote and
that is a hurdle that she must leap over and "handle".
The difficulty for Hillary is that she has never been a friend of
Israel.
She has publicly come out for a Palestinian State, which as a
sophisticated
and smart lady she knows would threaten Israel's very existence.
She very
well knows that hatred of Jews and Israel even now is an essential
part of
Arafat's educational system; moreover, Arafat's hate propaganda in
his
Media includes praise of the bomb makers who specialize in blowing up
Israel's buses. Yet she has never leveled one word of criticism
against
Arafat in that or any other regard, or for that matter against any
Arab.
Her Arab guest list at the White House has included American Arab
leaders
who are sympathetic to and support terrorist Hamas. She could find
nothing
about Israel to publicly admire throughout the many years that she
has been
in the White House.
But to garner the Jewish vote in New York she has to appear to tone
down
her bias in favor of the Arabs, and make some Jewish "gestures".
She now
lets out of the family closet the inconsequential news that her
grandmother' s second husband was a Jew. And of course for these New
York
voters, she is making the proscribed visit to Israel. After all
these years
she suddenly awakened to recognize the status of Jerusalem; she
recently
told the Jews that Jerusalem is Israel's eternal capital; however,
she is
not in favor of moving the U.S. Embassy to that capital. In that she
is
consistent with her husband who broke his previous campaign promise
to
move it. Her track record insures that she too will not keep
whatever
promises she makes to the Jews in order to get into the Senate. If
elected, she would be the most pro-Arab Senator New York has ever
had.
Unmasked, Hillary Clinton has proven herself again and again to have
little
sympathy and understanding for Israel and the Jewish People.
Don't be
fooled by the Jewish "appointees" of her husband. Albright, Berger
and the
like are Jews in name only, who lack loyalty to the Jewish People.
Nor
should you be "taken in" by her deceptive sweet talk. Hillary's
visit to
Israel is just part and parcel of her New York campaign.

BLACK LIBERATION ARMY
Aliases: Afro-American Liberation Army
Base of Operation: United States
Founding Philosophy: The Black Liberation Army was a militant
splinter group of
the Black Panther Party. Breaking away from the Black Panthers in
the late
1960s, the stated philosophy of the BLA was to "take up arms for the
liberation
and self-determination of black people in the United States."
In the 1970s the BLA was responsible for numerous domestic criminal
acts,
including bank and armored car robberies. In one of their more
famous exploits,
members of the BLA freed fellow BLA member Joanne Chesimard from
prison where
she was serving a life sentence for the murder of a state trooper.
Chesimard
fled to Cuba, where she is still living, and the US government has
offered a
reward of $1 million dollars for her capture. Members of the BLA
were also
charged in various terrorist plots including a plan to firebomb
department
stores in New York. In 1981, four members of the BLA were convicted
for various
charges including murder and armed robbery in a failed heist of a
Brinks armored
car, which left one guard and two police officers dead. On March 25,
1984, a man
claiming to be "Lieutenant Spartacus" of the "Black Liberation
Army," hijacked a
Piedmont airlines jet with 58 passengers on board. The plane flew to
Cuba where
"Lieutenant Spartacus" found asylum.
