Jerry Lewis's son died; son Gary blames dad

Comedian JERRY LEWIS' pop star son GARY has sensationally blamed his
father for the death of his younger brother.
Lewis Jr, who fronted 1960s group Gary Lewis & The Playboys, claims
his father turned his back on brother Joseph after learning he was a
drug addict and the heartbreak killed the funnyman's youngest kid.
Joseph Lewis died after suffering a seizure in Utah in October (09) -
but Gary insists his brother would have been happier and healthier if
his father hadn't cut him off.
The This Diamond Ring hitmaker tells America's the Globe, "Joe had
problems his entire life and I blame our father. Jerry Lewis is a mean
and evil person. He was never loving and caring toward me or my
brothers.
"I don't know if Joe's death is drug related, but I believe it could
have been prevented if he and my father had been on better terms. I
believe he partly died of a broken heart.
"(My father) doesn't really care. He's more worried about his career
and his image than his own family."

Whooooo.....this was quiet, wasn't it? No mention of it around here,
where anything that happens to a TV commercial "star" is big news.
When you google and click on the press releases, they all go to
dead links.
Apparently, Joseph Lewis died in October (2009)
in St George, Utah.
But WHICH Joseph?

I do see where the medical examiner in SLC determined it was a
drug overdose.

Last year Howard Stern hosted Gary Lewis and Suzan Lewis, whom DNA
tests proved to be Jerry's grown illegitimate daughter. Gary said all
six Lewis boys were pretty much estranged from their father.

What I can't figure out now, is why Suzan (who comes from
money), would want to associate herself with a much-hated,
over-the-hill, nasty, comedian who really doesn't have that
much money....comparatively. Especially when said comedian
already has at least seven other children and has had to pay
out huge child support/alimony.

From what I understand Suzan's health hasn't been the greatest (she
was seriously injured in a car accident some years ago) and she may
just want closure, not money.

I'm cynical about "closure". There's always something else
you need, after finding out your sperm donor accepted you as
his child. Or didn't....or won't (as is the case here).

In December in an interview told Rachel Uchitel to contact her, that
she and Rachel might be able to help each other. In recent years,
Suzan's been homeless.
After a fairy tale childhood, she was left disabled as an adult due to
a nearly fatal automobile accident in the 1990s. More recently Suzan
Lewis has been homeless, due to her inability to work.
