NWN2 - Stuck at the Sunken Flagon

I have a problem where I am unable to leave the Sunken Flagon Inn.

When I enter the inn, my companions, (the dwarf, Elanee, and the chick
with horns) are standing around the room (not following me).

When I try to leave by clicking on the doorway, nothing happens. I have
played around a little by doing extra stuff outside the tavern before
entering the tavern but this does not appear to make any difference.
Neither does going through the who 'story development' scenes that take
place inside the tavern.. I read on the NWN forum that moving the saved
game out and then back in the saves folder can help but this has not
worked for me.

Is this a gamebreaker?

Yes, this happened to me. I had to click on each one and say follow me and
that seemed to fix it for me. You can't leave without them. Have you
updated the game? If you are on dialup you can download them from
http://nwvault.ign.com/View.php?view=NWN2Articles.Detail&id=230 (use a
download manager - I like MetaProducts Download Express - it's free).

It's possible it is, but unlikely, obviously you have talked to Duncan
and then "Sand" the Hedge Wizzard showed up , did the little
divination thing, "boom" one of my favorites. If this all went well,
then you should be able to click on the exit doorway, the companion
selection screen should then appear, and so forth. What is your
current game version?
