Rumor Control on Manastones !

[who]

HI, I'm hoping to get an official word on manastones, rumor has it they may
come back as a quest item and others say they are gone forever. Anyone seen
any OFFICIAL word on this? Thanks....

You can buff your hitpoints way up then use the manastone to move them
all into mana. Then you use complete heal and do it again til your mana
is close to full and meditate the rest. It reduces the meditation time
quite a bit. I doubt this is why it was changed, but it is a neat
trick.

I don't think this is an exploit. Even though it doesn't take nearly
as much time to recover your mana as medding, it still takes (what I
consider) a long time to stone down and then do complete heal. When
doing this, my lvl 50 friends can usually recover about 1 bubble of
mana per cycle. Which makes 4 stone downs and 4 complete heals.
Very tedious to watch, much less do. Hence, prolly not an exploit.

Well one thing I can say they're used for is with the regeneration
spell (at least thats what I use it with). Regen is particularly
mana efficient so regen effectively gives you an emergency mana
store. Now I'm just hanging out for level 44 to get chrlotoplast.
Now THAT will be sweet. :-)

That's hardly an exploit. An exploit is when you use an unintended feature
or bug in the game. Stoning down and casting CH is a) dangerous and b) not
as good as you all think.
