Indeed. One of the local papers featured an ad for a club which had
a male stripper name "Neo". Seems it's the Matrix-obsessed guys

One of my favorite cartoons "Funkey Winkerbean" used to have a "man on the
street reporter" (his name was John Darling), in one strip he was
interviewing Les (who is usually the star of the cartoon) and it goes
