Just when you thought it was safe to attend an afp-meet.... This time we
take on London - and what's worse we're bringing the kids!
Not that you have to have kids to come along of course, but since we're
planning on visiting Hamley's and the Disney Store and any other fun and
childish location that springs to mind we're taking a few along as cover
- - after all, noone minds adults acting the fool when they're doing it to
entertain the kiddies......
So if you fancy the idea of battling against the crowds in Regent's
Street, and stocking up on all the toally awesome toys that your parents
would never buy you, but which you can now afford to buy for yourself
join us on Saturday November 8th for a fun day in the 'big city'
The idea is to meet up over coffee at around 11am in the Hamley's cafe
and let that caffeine rush free the child within.... Then it's playtime
and another step closer to bankruptcy - especially for those of us who
are bringing the kids *shudder*
Once we have reached the point of near total exhaustion and spent all we
have to spend I suggest finding a pizza place and replenishing the
energy before the treck back home.
If you want more info or to let me know you're coming so we'll wait for
you to show up, email me at ca...@lspace.org.

Just so you can recognise us, we'll probably be wearing something
related to the Discworld, probably T-shirts.
(If you really want more help than this, there are pictures on our
website - URL in the sig)

Sounds good to me, I haven't had a decent pizza in months...

Or mail me, and I'll let Carol know.
We hope to see quite a few of you on Saturday, so come on, join in the
fun!

Can you read a punched card, looking at the holes?
Good luck to you!! I was in London last weekend - to track down a copy of
Jingo, after attending the Acorn World Computer Show. It was 'heaving' with
people.
Please, whatever you do, *don't get off at Oxford Circus* (or *on* for that matter)
as there are road works going on outside the exit and therefore humungous
queues develop on the stairs, leading to fraying tempers and a *very* unsafe
feeling - and that's *before* you've got to the toyshops.
Cheers,
Drew Buddie

So why didn't you take it? ;-P
