O&A fans are like Firefly/Serenity/Whedon fangirls who ran around the
Internet for years talking about how the "Serenity" movie would
validate their love for "Firefly" and that it would (I am not kidding,
they said this) do Star Wars like business at the theatre.
Then the movie came out and it tanked. It didn't even cover its cost

Not always.
A settlement is purely an agreement, often which is sealed. It doesn't
necessarily mean that money/material changed hands, it does often
include provisions that the defendant can't come after the plaintiff in
a separate action though.
I'm familiar with many cases where the plaintiff came in ready to take
everyone out, but was humbled quickly when the defendants showed their
hand of cards.

It was a rock station when they started. It had been for over 3 decades.
Within 15 months their popularity caused the station to phase out the music
almost completely and turn to talk in all the important dayparts (Ferrall &
other sports guys in the mornings, Don & Mike midday, Ron & Fez evenings).
5 months after they left because of Sex For Sam 3, the station turned Top
40 because the other talk shows weren't bringing in the ratings (they never
had - everything rode on O&A). Then they changed to Blink. Another disaster
that didn't even last a year. Then came Mix 102.7. O&A got golden audio
from the Mix's PD going on air drunk at the station's Christmas party,
saying fuck, and calling the station WKTU.
They're now "classic dance" and pull DLR-like numbers.

yet. they were actually STILL advertising for XM back then. When Stern
left K-rock, ALL terrestrial radio was doing some variation of "Free
Radio" K-Rock just took it as their new name. The title has NOTHING to
do with Stern. it would be funny if it did (No more Stern... We are
free). But the fact of the matter is, they are trying to use the
"free" title to keep fans.

The Clones where leased out by XM, for basically advertsing, and only

Lets get our facts straight here, jackass. O&A DID NOT devote ANY of
their show to Howard. He attacked them as soon as they got to NY. They
were supposed to be on K-rock in the afternoons, they ended up on WNEW
( I'd say it was his doing, but no one is saying).
They ALL worked for the same company, but he treated them like
enemies.
..and why not ? We are talking about a duo who were highly sought by
every radio company AFTER getting fired for a practical joke
...Telling the city of Boston that their mayor was dead...
If they can fuck up THAT bad and be wanted THAT bad, I would fear them
too.
Anywho.... Howie took it upon himself to quickly claim them as
"clones" (despite lack of credibility), listened in to their show till
he heared a parody of himself (all done in fun) and quickly had them
silenced of all things "howard".
This effort was supposed to destroy them... they still managed to give
100% for 3 or 4 years (while he was doing "sub-par radio) without his
image portrayed in anyway during their show (imagine that). Of course
we all know about how they got "fired". But what you don't know is
they were NOT fired... they were taken off the air and paid (in full)
as if they were working all along. They were offered the ability to
get out of their contract so they could take the XM deal they were
working on right away... but they declined because it came with a
clause that they could never mention Howard on the air for the rest of
their careers.
Now.. they get to air ALL of Howard's bullshit along side of the
previous things he has said that completely contradict his new words.
...and I say, "good for them" they finally get a little retributtion.
they should devote a whole show to him and tear his ass to shreds with
evidence that isn't hard to find, as opposed to his accusations with
zero backup.

Howie may be a topic from time to time, but he is far from being a
focal point.
