So - Stern's admitted that he was never approached about American Idol.
yet he keeps talking shit about Ellen and insists that "he won't work
with her". But he doesn't have an option to. Jimmy might as well
declare that he won't work with U2.

Yes, I do. If you're looking to get more money out of your employer than
they can pay, or that you're worth, you can approach the competition.
Unless there isn't any, then you can leak a plausible story about an
alternate career path.

As long as it's plausible, you can milk it and pretend you're considering
it, to worry your employer into thinking he'll lose you.

Stern fucked up "the game". He's been the boy who cried wolf so many
times, with every renegotiation, that Karmazin joked about it weeks ago,
before all this stupid AI talk.

His talk of a billion-dollar offer from Clear Channel? Not even fucking
*you* believed that one, Jimmy. And pretty much nobody believed he was
being considered for American Idol, either. Certainly nobody of any
consequence to his negotiations, and *absolutely* not Mel Karmazin.

But now he's acknowledged that there never *was* any real AI talk, and
he's still pretending to demand terms for his imaginary placement there
(he "won't work with Ellen", damnit!).

That's not "the game", bottom-rung-of-show-biz-guy. The game is to
generate real uncertainty about your next move. And he's done a terrible
job of floating *anything* plausible.

First of all, who gives a shit? As long as he did say it, sometime, it's
retarded for him to talk like there is any serious discussion about it.

And second of all, since this is, I think, the second time you piped up
with this, no, he didn't acknowledge it at all on "day one".

The first day he was on the air after the "story" "broke", he said the
following things (from marksfriggin):

"Howard said he had a lot to talk about and he might just take that Idol
job that they were talking about in the paper this weekend."

"He said that Simon Cowell said that he wanted him to replace him and
that's how the whole rumor got started. Howard said he's not going to
comment on any discussions he may or may not have had with them over
there."

"Howard said people seem to think that he'd get them thrown off the air
if he was a judge. Howard said he knows how to judge and he's not going
to get them thrown off. "

"Howard took another call from a woman who said that she is a teacher and
she thinks that he'd be great as a judge. Howard said of course he would.
He said that the show will go away if he doesn't take over as a judge on
that show. The caller said that he has to do it because he'd be amazing.
Howard said he'll have to see. He said he's a high priced talent. Howard
said he thinks that Ryan Seacrest would leave the show if he joined. He
said that a lot of people are going to run away from that show if he
joins it. Howard said Ryan would end up on X-Factor with Simon if he
joined Idol. "

"Gary came in and asked if he has answered the question if there is any
validity to the rumor. Howard said he can not confirm or deny. Howard
said he would say it was all hearsay if he wanted him to."

"Howard said he can't imagine anyone else replacing Simon Cowell. He said
that no one else could do the job the right way."

"Howard said Gary called him to ask if he was really going to be the
judge. He said he didn't answer. Gary said it was actually email. Howard
said he's not telling anyone. Howard said Gary asked him like 10 times
this morning and he didn't tell him anything. He said he's already asked
them over at Idol if there's a place for Gary there."

Now, dummy, which of those things is Stern acknowledging that there were
no discussions and no reaching out to him from American Idol?

That day the Wrap Up Show continued with the speculation.

Actually, stupid, no, it's not.

When you say "whatever" or blow off whatever answer someone's given to
whatever brainless tripe you've posted, it's because you'd rather dismiss
it than address it.

That wasn't the case here - when I said "who gives a shit?" it wasn't
because I was dismissing it. It was because the point's irrelevant.

My point was that Stern's a douche for acting like he's being considered
for AI when he just said that he wasn't being considered for AI. And
dopey's reply was that he acknowledged it weeks ago. So ... so? Does it
make any *more* sense that way? No.

And besides, he didn't.

Way to miss the point. Don't you feel dumb when you ignore salient
points instead of agreeing or rebutting them, over and over again?

Suck a cock. I didn't claim he said it, you did. The onus is on you to
support your statement, not on me to support *your* claim.

I heard that too. He didn't say that on "day one". And besides, a lot
of not-queer people don't know what network AI is on. I certainly didn't.

And, more importantly, it doesn't matter *when* he said it. If he said
it, what he's saying now is stupid.

No, I'm not. I have best of Sirius for a year for free. If I didn't, I

You disparagingly referred to "2U the clone version of the band and a
close relative of one of the clones". Did I misinterpret that, and you

Which of those is not an apt description? They do in fact do nearly
identical copies of U2 songs and perform an act that is an imitatin of
the original. That makes them a U2 clone band, nothing original there.
One of the 2U guys is a brother of one of the Stern Howard Show guys
thus making him a close relative, no? Why do simple facts get your
panties in a bunch?

They are not meant to be good, they are meant to be a clone of U2. Your
opinion of them is supposed to be based on your opinion of the original
and how well they copy them. I'm not a big fan of U2 but from what I've
heard 2U does an excellent copy of their show.

XM used to do that, Sirius hasn't been doing it so far. They actually
cancelled me for the first time in 5 years when my best of sirius
subscription ran out. They told me I owed money for my XM bill but
forgave that when I ordered a new sub for my radio. I think they are
trying to make some money now.

Nothing's "in a bunch". You seem to use the word "clone" negatively, and
you used the word in associated with 2U. So either you're an
inconsistent, schizo, shithead, or you're a lying, inconsistent, schizo
shithead.

Maybe they just know you're an asshole. My brother got a cheap ( <
$100 / yr ) rate, so I called and got both my subs changed to the same
price. That was about two weeks ago.

Uh, sure. My post was based on two facts:

1. Stern is not and was not in consideration for the AI spot. There was
no contact between AI and Stern.

1b. This is not in question; Stern has admitted it.

2. Stern continues to talk as though he's considering the position he
hasn't been offered.

The other homo's assertion is that ... Stern admitted it three weeks
ago. Meaning that Stern's been a lying douche for at least two weeks
longer than I thought he had.

Hardly a lie. Next time have someone read and explain to you, it might
help.

No, it seems you just have your little fanboy panties in a bunch. I also
notice that you don't think of your little stern rants on your own, you
seem to regurgitate them after they are brought up on the clones show. I
can see how you get so defensive about copying and not having any
original ideas now.

I will have a cheaper rate than $100 / year as long as the company stays
in business for 5 more years. When I had XM only I paid for the first
year and got the the next 4 years for free. You can unbunch your panties
now psycho.

Here, watch closely.

You said:
" They actually cancelled me for the first time in 5 years ... I think

they are trying to make some money now."

I pointed out a very recent example of a discounted rate, to which you
replied

"When I had XM only I paid for the first year
and got the the next 4 years for free. "

So, to sum up:

You: the days of discounted subs were in the past and are over now.
Me: I just got my rate discounted.
You: I got a discounted rate a long time ago.

Now go look up "non sequitur" and see if it rings a bell.

You added a non sequitur, good for you retard. You still make money when
you discount a rate, you don't make money when you don't charge people
anything. See the difference Mr. Has a stupid argument for everything?

Liar. Try a more convincing lie. My point was that XM was not charging
me anything at all. Either due to disorganization or fear that I would
cancel, not sure which but it was free until I got the Sirius package
and that expired. I never said anything that could be construed as what
your convoluted logic concluded.

> Me: I just got my rate discounted.

You are such a lying asshole, either that or you are too stupid to
understand the simplest things.

Never said that, liar. I said "They didn't charge me anything for 4 years"

Fuck, you're an ass. I made it as simple as I can: you said they aren't
giving discounts now because "they are trying to make money now" and I
have an example of a recent one. You gave a counter-example (for what
reason, I don't know) of a not-recent one. Which is meaningless.

Probably true for you, but you don't seem that bright so it is probably
only you.

Shithead: my comment that brought your ignorant response was about my
free "Best of Sirius". Not over something that would or wouldn't count
as a sub number.

No it didn't, my comment showed the obvious, XM didn't collect money
because they were afraid of cancellations. Now that Sirius owns XM they
are collecting money and cancelling people who took advantage of their
need to keep subs. You are just a logic twisting moron. Call mensa and
see if they know who you are. You're a semi psychotic geek, have you hit
350 lbs yet?

Right, I'm a "mess" because I won't tell XXX that his drivel makes
sense. I suppose if you're reaching for straws and guessing about
personal details about someone you've never met, I can take that as
acknowledgement that you've abandoned your dopey premise.

I am going to break down the sentences into subject/verb (because you
obviously can't) and you tell me which one "No it didn't" logically
follows.

"My comment ... was about"

"[it was] Not over something"

Eat my ass. I wasn't the one who looked up your address or showed up at
your house. In fact, after it happened I immediately said that it was a
shitheaded move to knock on your door.

And while digging up personal data on you was wrong, it's not at all the
same thing as just making up shit you don't know anything about.

Ok, good. Whatever insults we throw around or how stupid we think the

anything that actually physically threatened anyone's home or family.

If I ever have to shoot an intruder, I really don't want them to be from
