Good to see some of you here!!! I'm from Prodigy too and I've been in
some card and scan swaps with some of you!!
I've had Prodigy for about 10 years and just loved those boards! It will
be a sad, sad day when they are gone.
Barbara Burton
I've read some of the posts....but not all of them. Will read some more
when I sign back onto PC. It would be nice if we could keep the boards.
When I first got a computer in the late 80's...I learned a lot from the
computer bb. If I had a question...someone had an answer!!
I plan to keep PI....for now anyway.
Take care,
Barbara

We were in the scan swaps and may have been in some card swaps...
I just got Complete Publisher 2 days ago....could we discuss it to?
I've been playing around with it some and I think I am really going to
like the program. I am such a software junkie...maybe this will be the
last program of this kind that I will need! (G)

Yes, we were in a couple of card swaps...I grabbed a stack of my cards
and quickly looked through them and found your valentine post card swap
card from last year....and your "any card" swap card....with the baby
carriage gift tag.
I don't know why you are missing the menu bar...but try this...it may
help.
Minimize the news group window...just have a regular internet page on
your screen...now click on "options"...make sure "show tool bar" is
checked. I don't know if this will help or not, but it's worth a try.
I'm using Netscape as my browser...what are you using?
Barbara

Jude :-)
Thanks for the information about getting my menu bar back. I can't wait
to get off here to try it. At the moment this board must be set to only
read new mail so I can't leave without answer notes first. I lost a
bunch of notes yesterday that way. I use Netscape also. Hopefully
this will work. I'll check back later and let you know. Wanda M

If all else fails, you can always do Open, and type in
news:alt.crafts.print-artist and that should open up your news reader.
If even *THAT* doesn't work, all newsgroups can be read in

I have AOL too but the news groups I access are just one note at a
time...nothing at all like it is on Netscape. It appears to be just from
AOL itself....and not the internet.
Just wonder if I'm missing somethin?

Wanda,
Once I read a message it is gone UNLESS I click under the little green
dot beside the note....this makes the green dot appear beside the note
and renders the message unread. Another way is to click on "message"
then on "mark as unread."

Penny,
I think there may be a problem....I keep having to add the
newsgroup...then each time I add it I have to subscribe.
It just keeps disappearing and this is the only one I have problems
with.
It would be great for you to post some of your verses!!
Barbara
You did a fantastic job describing how to get to the newsgroups on AOL.
Thanks a bunch....

Eat lots of Chocolate.
Practice makes perfect.
Chocolate is nature's way of making up for Mondays.
If you have chocolate on your breath, people are more apt to
listen to you.
Breaking a big candy bar into little pieces splits all the
calories, rendering them harmless.
The need for chocolate is an addiction that no one wants to
cure.
Money may make the world go round, but a good fudge bar
makes the ride tolerable.
Dark chocolate is very rich. It may be the closest to rich
you ever come.
There is more to life than chocolate, but not right now.
If people see you eating chocolate, they will feel it's all
right for them to do the same, and you will become a leader
of men.
If Elvis had eaten more chocolate and done fewer drugs, he
would still be alive.
There is no such thing as CHOCOHOLICS ANONYMOUS, because
nobody wants to quit.
A Candy Bar may be the only thing you do right today.
The worst chocolate beats the very best fruit salad.
Even the Beatles wrote a song about chocolate. It's not a
fad.
Take heart! Eating chocolate is one thing the government
can't regulate.
There's nothing wrong with me that a little chocolate won't
fix.
It is impossible to be angry with someone if they bring
you a candy bar.
There are thousands of different types of chocolate candies.
Until you've tried them all you can't be sure of your
favorite.
Nothing worth having cannot be chocolate coated.
Take three steps backwards. If you do not hear a loud
beeping noise you are not as big as a truck. So have
another piece

That is a cute get well verse...thanks for sharing! It is neat that you
have so many sayings....
I'm sure we all will be looking forward to you posting some of the
sayings.

MSIE is an internet browser just like Netscape is an internet browser. I
started out with Netscape and since I "know" it..I've chosen to stay
with it.
Procomm sounds like it might be a communications program...you would use
something like that to connect to a local bb system. I use to do that
years ago until the internet came along...
Yes I'm afraid I am a "software junkie"....I do get the programs
installed..but if I don't like them I usually don't mess with them any
more! (G)

The newsgroup here is a usenet newsgroup. It is internet specific
unless there is a local server that stores the newsgroups that you
could dial into.
You can get to usenet newsgroups through an Internet Service Provider
Local BBS's have declined since the rise of the net and the ones still
around don't have the space to hold the thousands and thousands of
newsgroups!
I've been using Print Artist since it's inception and it is one of my
favorite programs!
If you live in a very major metropolitan area (NY, LA, etc) there
might be someplace to dial into to get the newsgroupls locally -
Hope this bit of info helps
