I have a Gigabyte GA-MA790FXT-UD5P motherboard. I and using 8GB of
Corsair DDR3 1333MHz memory (4 x 2GB sticks).
My processor is a Phenom II 810 (4 core 2.6GHz).
Am I right in thinking that the C1E support should be set to 'Off' for
this processor as my understanding is that C1E support was for the
Phenom I which allowed each core to have its clock speed controlled
independently?

Thanks,

Jason

The Phenom II supports it too. I'd disable it anyway as it will throttle
the cpu.

Not a particularly smart move.

Never had a problem, I'm overclocking and it really doesn't help. I've
also got decent cooling so I don't see a problem disabling it. Each to
their own though.

Most people don't overclock and most people expect their systems to keep
quiet and live long. The automatic underclocking feature helps ensure that.

As far as general recommendations go, I'd stick with keeping it enabled.
