There are very real physical limits to what we can achieve with
conventional technology. The speed of light is one. What's the least
number of atoms we can use to act as a transistor?

In 100 years all this could look like the telegraph.

I think consumers OS will just maintain its current look-and-feel! We
consumers don't really know the differences made by revoluting the CPU
architecture.... :)
