I just ordered a new unlocked Samsung Galaxy S-20 5G Ultra with the extra
512K memory. Go big, or go home... right?

Good for you. I hope it has a micro-SD card slot. They make
those fucking things these days as big as one terabyte. You'll
never run out of space no matter how many videos and photos
you take.

It does! It's got half a Tb in it, and a slot for a full Tb on a micro SD
card, which totally blows my mind... a full Tb on a tiny little microchip!
I don't see how they can possibly cram that much nonvolatile storage in a
chip the size of a fingernail. I never thought I'd live long enough to
see "the future," but this is like some weird alien technology. I doubt
that I'd ever fill the memory it comes with.

Keep us informed. I was really impressed with my Galaxy S5 and
pretty much still am. I put a 64 gig micro SD in the slot and put
all my pictures and music on there and it still has about 40 gigs
left. I can't imagine a terabyte version. OMG, that's kewl.

The first think you should do is go around your house and property
and take a movie of everything inside and out. Will come in handy
should there be a loss due to fire or earthquake, etc. Insurance will
pay up a lot easier if you can document your losses.

Also, if it doesn't have a scanner app download one and scan in
all your important papers. Most scanners can convert to .pdf
so they end up being acceptable legal documents. And, you can
even print them out later.

I took pictures of my social security card, operators license,
Medicare card, etc. and have them stored with my pictures.
All on the micro-SD so even of the phone craps out the SD
files should be intact and usable in another device.

Fucking competent handheld computer is what these modern
"phones" are. Even your Google Chrome from your laptop will
be synchronized. All your contacts, too. It's amazing and I have
the way older version. I do like the fact that mine has the user
replaceable battery and SIM and SD card is easy to insert and
remove, too. I don't know about the S10 - probably not but
batteries do last years nowadays.

They even have a security feature called "Knox". If you try to root the
phone, it trips a Knox digit that renders your phone instantly out of
warranty.

I bought a Samsung fridge over a year ago and it
hasn't missed a beat. But, I did purchase the simplest
model. No ice maker, no ice water in the door, just
one door each for the top freezer section and one
for the lower fridge section. Touch panel operation
like that of a microwave oven.

Mine has Knox in the app manager. Since my phone is
long out of warranty perhaps I should just disable or delete
the Knox app? It only uses 12KB of internal storage which
is nothing. But, it has used 17 MB of data over the last year.
It must be sending in spy reports or something like that.

They have condensation drain paths that are suppose to transport condensed
water down to the evap tray underneath, but they freeze up, allowing that
water to collect and freeze elsewhere. Eventually it encases the fan in
ice so it stops turning, and you have to defrost the fucking thing. You'd
think they could manage to solve that problem with a simple heater on a
timer or something, but they'd rather make money on service calls. If you
buy a Samsung, you don't "really" own it, you're just renting it unless
you can fix it yourself. There's really no excuse for stupid shit like
that.

I haven't experienced any such problem. It might be due
to the fact that there is very low humidity in my cabin
for some reason I haven't figured out yet. Right now,
for example, my indoor/outdoor weather instrument
says 22% indoor and 52% outdoor relative humidity.

Maybe the logs absorb the indoor humidity????

No. The dew point is 31F and its 50F outside and 70F inside, so that's
what you get, Mr. Asstoot Supergenious.

Mine says 58% outside, and 32% inside right now, but we had a little rain
last night.

All I know, is the Samsung I bought froze up on the reefer side and
completely encased the evap coil. The one my sister bought me has a drain
tube from the ice maker in the top left (the ice maker has never worked),
and that drains water down to below a pull-out drawer on the bottom, and
the ice forms under that drawer, until it tries to keep the drawer from
opening. It's the stupidest design I've ever seen, because there are no
freezer coils around the ice maker. Theres a fan that's supposed to blow
cold air up to the ice maker, and the fan is at the bottom, behind the
drawer... where the ice forms, so most likely, that fan is iced over and
possibly burned out. Depending on a fan to blow freezing cold air all the
way to the top of the reefer section to the ice maker is just stupid.

A remote evaporator for an ice maker IS pretty dumb.

Read the report. "Fully Exonerated". "No Collusion". Your memo is
deep state fake news bullshit. It's all bullshit. I win.

Nice phone. I'm going to get a 7T Pro 5G McLaren. Half the memory at 256GB

48 MP Main Camera, 21 hours of talk time, 9.5 days standby time. $900.

Yours is $700 more, but for what? I had a S7, and after a week, I turned it
back in, when the phones were catching on fire.
