That used to happen to us fairly regularly when we lived on the farm.
It was very peaceful and not a real inconvenience once we sorted out our
camping gear which we then used to replace cooking with electricity.

Depends upon the location. Where I am, NYC is 90 minutes north, Philly
is 90 minutes west, and the Atlantic Ocean is ten minutes east.

Everything I could possibly need on a daily basis (gasoline, food, etc.)
is within a five minute drive.

Oh, and I have a lawn.

I guess every male can't be an alpha male. Some seem
to enjoy their feminine side to a greater extent and to their
detriment as males.

So happy you brought that up because it further proves my point.

The two stand-alone circuits result in:

1) dim
2) medium

Combine them and you get:
3) bright.

So what happens when one of the two stand alone filaments
burns out?

Answer: You have a bulb with only one brightness level.

That alone should tell your Neanderthal brains there
remains only ONE circuit. Two circuits are gone with the
wind. Two plus one equals THREE.
