Climate change isn’t just a brutal form of time travel to both the
future and pre-human past, it is discombobulating to our very sense of
linear time:

Speak for yourself, dippy. Maybe the weather is boggling your small

Kensi is lunatic left-wing imbecile who thinks that if he stubs his
toe getting out of bed in the morning it's due to (human-caused) global
warming. No matter than even the professor who fathered the discipline
of modern climate science (Reid Bryson) called the idea "a bunch of
hooey" and pointed out that warmer temperatures are to be expected
as we continue emerging from the Little Ice Age. (As many other credible
scientists have pointed out as well.)

https://skepticalscience.com/coming-out-of-little-ice-age.htm

https://www.skepticalscience.com/A-detailed-look-at-the-Little-Ice-Age.html

"The argument that we're simply 'coming out of the Little Ice Age (LIA)'
makes one of two assumptions:

1. The planet oscillates around some natural equilibrium temperature
such that after it cools, it must warm to return to this
temperature, and vice-versa.
2. Whatever caused the LIA cooling has reversed phase and is now
causing global warming.

The first assumption demonstrates a lack of understanding regarding what
causes planetary temperature changes. The second does not hold up under
scrutiny of the empirical data."

*sigh* I am *really* hoping the convention pulls a rabbit out of a hat
and nominates someone else. It's not like there's been an actual, proper
primary contest that Biden won fair and square or anything like that,
after all, and almost any other candidate will completely *destroy*
Trump in November, while Biden, in addition to having a rather checkered
past on race issues, has an actual, slim chance to actually lose ...

Because you really need to address it?

Nothing scurrilous about it. Kensi's reputation can't be damaged any
more than what she's already done herself.

That's only half of the story. There's also the scurrilous accusations
against you, which was in large part what I was talking about.

In other words, I'm suggesting breaking the cycle.

Non sequitur. *Your* behavior (e.g., repeatedly changing the subject to
a particular topic) can only be reflective of *your* needs and desires,
not anybody elses. So, *you* are the one who is desperate to talk about
a drinking problem. And that tells us all we need to know.

Wow. Hallucinations usually only come at the end of alcohol poisoning.
And so early in the morning, too!

Klaus remains in denial about his condition, it seems, and it's doubtful
kensi can get through to him. Sadly, people like Klaus have to realize on
their own that they need help; until then no attempt to convince them will
result in anything but denial and projection.

On a more promising note, the fact that he spontaneously raised the topic
of alcoholism in the middle of a thread about climate change shows that
obsessive thoughts of drink are constantly bubbling away just beneath the
surface of his mind. Something inside him clearly wants to talk about this,
which means he may be getting close to a breakthrough.
