i need to know where the thermostat is located at on a 2004 dodge intrepid
2.7 liter?

Just in front of the engine mount on the drivers side, just curious...why do

well the car keeps running hot and i checked everything else and the only
thing i could see is that it was the thermostat if you know of something
else it could be please let me know

Well when does it run hot? In traffic? highway speeds? Have you checked to
make sure the coolant level is at the proper level and that the crossover
connector tube isnt leaking? Are the fans working?

the car runs hot in traffic the coolant level is good i dont see any leaks
anywhere no coolant on the ground when i park it and the fans are working
also do you have any suggestions on how it would be easier to get to the
thermostat to change it

The vehicle has to be raised, it is hard enough doing it on the lift let
alone trying that on the ground, You may want to reach into your wallet on
this one

take it to a car wash and wash the radiator from the front engine side
outward........get the bugs and crud out.

also while having your thermostat changed like Glenn said, have them flush
it too
